nihilistjnr: Tuchel was so shocked by what happened there that he blamed the Stamford Bridge floodlights, because there's literally no rational excuse for what we saw
raumdeuter: What color of card do you think they will issue for that type of foul given that he is the last man. And do you think its better to get sent off at 50 something minute instead of conceeding a goal and have 11 men try to come back?
Maybe those DMs won't commit the foul, but they wont just stand there and watch Chalobah zoom past them to correct their error
donjazet: Guy stop making blank statements like these. It's tiresome already.
Every single player makes mistakes. Is this not the Liverpool that concedes goals in baskets but make up for it in attack
Was kante not here when we struggled badly under conte, lampard, Sarri etc? I am tired of these kind of talks, one error does not make a player. Jorginho brings far more to the team than he costs. Just like any top player. Many man-u complain that in as much as Ronaldo scores goals, he doesn't contribute to the overall gameplay. Would you say Ronaldo is terrible and should not play again?
My brother, make I rest for this case.
nihilistjnr: Guy God go bless your eyes with everlasting yeast.
Watch Chalobah in that sequence.
Chalobah was in front of Jorginho before the man lost the ball. Chalobah caught up to Jorginho and ran past him sef, whilst the man himself just stood there.
The revisionist agenda must not be allowed to fly here.Jorginho of all people - Press Resistant? Ahh...
Kimbeast: Try to rewatch the goal again on YouTube for the full clip. You can see Jorginho already tried stretching to poke the ball away which put him of balance. Watch the clip here

donjazet: This is not a problem of being press-resistant, but one of miscontrol and pace. Errors like these are rare, as I said earlier graphics like these are selective. I could also post a gif of jorginho evadeing pressure and people would say, he doesn't do it consistently enough, but at the same time highlight this error for it to seem like it's a staple feature of his game.
I am sure that if it was Fabinho that misplaced that pass, he would have fouled Sancho immediately, and taken the card for it. Even Kante or Kova would do the same. But look at him standing there.
A proper DM?
Jorginho is very slow in reading games.
He had enough time to head that ball back into the opponent's box. He could have cleared it. He could have played it back to Mendy sef...
But what exactly did he do?...
I don't like to even participate in Jorgi talks, because people that love him always love him. Same with those that hate him.
DissTroy: Antonio Conte took less than two years to rebuild Chelsea from languishing at almost the button of the table, to surviving, to winning the EPL, and to competing in Europe again. And that was a Chelsea without an identity (only having one now under Tuchel).
Pep Guardiola did it in a year. Yes, he had a superhuman magician called Messi and La Masia greats at his disposal but we aren't asking that Xavi wins the Treble. Nobody asked that of Pep.
We are only asking that first and foremost, he brings back the Barça identity. We want to be able to recognise the team. Once he does that, every other thing would fall into play naturally.
According to Muller last night, "Barcelona do not have the capacity to keep up in intensity matches." Ironically, the Tiki Taka (our identity) was known to be high intensity and teams couldn't keep up with us. Chelsea, Liverpool, Man City and Bayern play that way now too.
That's the primary thing we ask of Xavi, and why his appointment heralded so much optimism. He's arguably the best student of Tiki Taka alive today after all.
True, but for every success story, there are those who failed.
Not a Barcelona fan, but I love Xavi, and I would hate to see him shown the door.
I still consider him an amateur in coaching. Coaching is very different from playing.
The team is at the lowest of the lows now, and this is really a huge task for a professional manager, talk less of Xavi with a lesser experience.
BARAJ92: Awards are always given based on sentiments on those that want to choose the winner. Messi deserved the award for his individual performance same as Lewandoski. Kanye and Jorginho were in the run for the winner based on chelshit success last season which would have still make them worthy winner if they have been able to hook the sentiment of the voters or those that will choose. Cannavaro won the award based on Italy success in 2006.
patrickmuf: Let's get one thing clear, the best player award is not based on goal scored alone. The overall contribution of a player is evaluated.
If we dig deep, they're a couple of seasons where Messi scored more but didn't win the best player award.
In 2013, Ronaldo was awarded the best player award courtesy of his performance in the play off against Sweden which earned Portugal a place in the world cup but you guys will never talk about it. That season, Bayern won the treble with Ribery and Robben at the peak of their power, was it fair that Ronaldo won the award?
Bernardo Silva is probably City's best player at the moment but the stats won tell you that. Messi away from his goals and assist is awesome...No player in world football is given as much attention as Messi on the pitch yet he still manages to do so much. Put 2-3 players on Ronaldo, Mbappe, Neymar and co and see if they'll be up to any good.
You are actually making his point for him.
When Messi was given instead of Sneijder, you looked at goals instead of awesomeness.... because e favour you.
Now that someone has scored more than him, we should look at awesomeness, instead of goals.... because na this one favour you.
To me, the award is starting to look like a joke, but I won't blame them sha. It all boils down to voting. Afterall, Uzbekistan journalist voted Mbappe and Mount ahead of Messi.
They should stick to one criteria and use it. Instead of all these twisting and turning
