Odunharry:It is not Egunje tax oh. There are many taxes that are extorted from Motorists on highways All those trailers that carry food items, wood usually pay Produce tax along the highways. Within a state, you can see up to three check points on the road There are also those Local government taxes they collect. They will be selling it as tickets and stickers. It's usually rampant in Southern Nigeria. The Northerners don't have all these nonsense as such. But SE, SS, SW? Na the home of extortion |
The money wey dem don release nko?
|
All these ones na story Until I see the Government arresting those touts who mount roadblocks in the whole of Southern Nigeria, na tales by Moonlight be this https://www.nairaland.com/8629295/tax-laws-fg-bans-collection |
GloriousGbola:That's not Nigeria nau. That's SA. Abi na me no understand well? And besides, the difference isn't much. Maybe 50 naira or so. |
raumdeuter:Seems like there's an underlying issue already. I refuse to believe that this is all to the story |
GloriousGbola:But the process cannot work easily if you just introduce it immediately. Think about it. Cars lined up, and everybody begins to input cards in POS machines and waiting for it to load up and confirm transaction. Haaa For me, 1) Slowly work with banks and fintechs to have an option for toll gates on their apps. You can pay, input your vehicle number and type before you even get there. What's left is to confirm it and you can pass easily 2) Increase the toll for cash and give a discount for transfers. It could even be a 500 difference. People will gradually integrate themselves into the cashless policy, while you get it right. The whole place is just messed up with traffic |
The kind of wicked traffic at Airport toll gate is crazy. Why don't we gradually introduce a system? Why do we always have to make it very difficult by bringing change overnight? No more cash ....So everybody must input card inside POS and press PIN Na wa! |
Sportsweb:You think say e easy? You think it is easy to pick a struggle and suffer, while you go into hiding and have nothing to show for your life? Kanu is in prison. Spy360 is enjoying his life everyday; moves freely and can eat well, while offering massive support for Kanu online CCP wey tell Tinubu say MNK conviction go kill him chances for SE, don join city boy. Kanu still dey Sokoto. I saw Igboho's video and I was happy for him. All of us for ourselves, God for us all. When Nigerians are actually ready to fix their country, they will all do it together |
Spy360:How can you be cancelling something you didn't order? You said MNK wasn't responsible for Sit at home, but you are showing me a post of him cancelling it. If you are the definition of "Smart", Lord make me dumb and phooolish forever. Amen Amen! Amen! Amen! Amen! Amen! |
raumdeuter:I suggest he chooses to be deported through Nnamdi Azikiwe, Abuja. Murtala Mohammed is under reconstruction, and crowd go dey too much there. |
abduleez1:Dem no dey pray for Nigeria oh. 200 people will die in one day, and they will be organizing "Faith based Conferences", on how God wants to take you to a new level. One starts to wonder if God is inconsiderate and insensitive. Nigerian Pastors? Na another level dem dey |
Spy360:One of the simplest questions to answer on earth currently Don't take my word for it oh. Na De-Law talk am https://dailypost.ng/2026/01/26/soludo-no-executive-order-can-end-sit-at-home-kanus-lawyer-ejimakor/ |
WhoDeyHause:In all honesty, even if we had 20 refineries, they would all take advantage of the situation. We should be angry with Israel for starting this again, but we are not ready for this conversation in 600 years |
Dangote don do the needful. Get ready for shipping lines to start increasing rates. Na una know the joy wey una see for this thing since Saturday. Reality don kick in |
Ghanaians have infiltrated our culture Na Ghana like all these kind burials |
abduleez1:Why Alaba? ![]() Why? |
Abugu, my man. You suppose arrest the guy sha |
sconp:I really don't want to be insensitive with that story, but his ransom talk is shady. The same kidnappers that forced your people to charter a vehicle and bring the cash personally, are the ones that willingly provided an account for transfer The same kidnappers that killed the tractor operator for just mentioning 2 million out of 50 million, are the same ones that collected 2 million from you, despite you being the only one remaining. I only know that kidnappers can be traced through phone numbers. Na the first case of account number I dey hear like this. |
BlueRayDick:Our bushes are infiltrated. I don't mean in the North... Everywhere. So if someone says they got kidnapped in a bush, I won't doubt it at all. |
BlueRayDick:I don't doubt his kidnap story one bit. Anybody wey enter bush, anything wey e see there, na to manage am. |
Emmynator:Not 15 million. Some money he didn't mention |
Emaprince:I really want to reply your post, but I would sound so insensitive. That story doesn't add up to me. Not like I doubt his ordeal. |
BlueRayDick:Even his debt has holes in the story He said they paid 2 million for his ransom. That was the only figure he mentioned that the bandits received in almost 40 days of his capture, but he's saying they have spent 6.2 million in ransom payment and expenses. The same 2 million is what he admitted that the manager gave his mother and chopped 50 million. So how dem take enter 6.2 million naira debt on this matter? Anyways, he should be sure the manager received that money before making such and allegation. A mere "Our WhatsApp group chat" might be a lie. Then he should go hard on the thief of a manager. May God continue to protect us! |
Paradise S2 is out, and I wasn't informed? ![]() |
Emaprince:To be honest, his story accusing the woman on how the ransom was raised, is not adding up. I'm grateful he came out alive. Seeing your colleague die is enough trauma |
raumdeuter:Monerozzi also said the same thing too. Not like I care anyway |
If Iran strikes first - Iran is looking for trouble Now wey na Israel nko? |
