GloriousGbola: i think it is relevant because it is what is happening in a microcosm
if you have internal divisions in what should be tribal homogeneous states , tagging of non indigenes of your tribe as criminals (what is the difference between that and anti immigrant rhetoric? )
i remember one time people from SE were always calling out and blaming Ngwa as criminals on political threads it already shows you what will happen if you get a homogeneous nation state of just your tribe.
We are all equal, but some of us are more equal than others Just today today, as I am typing now, there is currently violence at Ijanikin in Lagos Two tribes are fighting; Aworis and (I can't remember the other one) Broken windshields, vandalized cars etc are everywhere. The Nigerian Army and Police just intervened. I heard it started around 2am, but as at 6am, there was traffic because of the clash. We see these things everywhere. Communal clashes that cannot be settled. I don't see how we will suddenly love ourselves when we break up. Infact, we will give a voice to those minorities to even speak up and look for their own path |

BlueRayDick: Well, we will never know what may be or not except the division truly happens. They created a SEDC. Every member on the board is Igbo. Gave them 140 billion for 2025. Baba first wipe 450 million on conferences. Then 2026 budget, has him setting aside billions on CCTV and Drones When we divide Nigeria, na this kind person go still rule us. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by izzou(m): 8:52am On Feb 28 |
BlueRayDick: PS: I don't know if they are right or not, but people clamoring for Nigeria's division along the major ethnic lines are doing so because they have the following beliefs :
1. If for example there's an Igbo nation, a Yoruba nation, Hausa/Fulani nation, etc.... People assume that the declvelopment of these individual nations will be priority to the leaders of each nation instead of selfish motive of embezzling public funds before the country's treasury runs dry like most Nigeria's current leaders are doing.
2. Common people will pay more attention to holding their leaders accountable instead of defending them blindly against criticism from members of other tribes like we currently have in Nigeria. For example: some Yorubas today don't care whatever cilorruption that is going on in Tinubu's government, they are just satisfied a Yoruba man is ruling. They believe if the Hausa/Fulani stock could support Buhari for the full 8 years he was running Nigeria aground while his ministers like Malami, Hadi Sirika, etc plundered the country's resources ; then why can't we Yorubas do the same for Tinubu?
3. It will be easy for citizens of any of the new nation to bandy together to fight against any set of corrupt leaders. The idea of divide and rule which the current Nigerian leaders use that works effectively in a multi ethnic country like Nigeria won't work in the new country. 1. Your example is just the same with a state governor. His own state nko? Imagine Anambra state government sending 100m to the illegal Ex IGP son. His own people's money oh...No northerner or Yoruba man was involved in the deal. 2. Common people never even hold their governors accountable for anything. How dem wan take hold their national government accountable? 3. When you divide, then you will see Divide and Rule between Anambra and Imo, Ibadan and Oyo, Urhobo and Itsekiris. There's always something to be divided in Nigeria. My point it, in our little circles, there's no accountability. It will be no different from what's happening now if we divide. |

CrystalTiger: Consequences of politicizing every thing..A bastard like OrjiUzorKalu that said that after 8yrs as governor, going to 8yrs as senator, his LGA doesn't have network is the same idiot found worthy of leading a development commission?
There's a mathematics competition going on for the youngings in the southeast that I donated my little kobo because I've followed the convener's journey and I thank God is going well so far..How is such a person or individuals like him not on that development commission board?
Like PO said, we're almost always letting the worst of us lead us every time.. We have almost gotten to a dispensation where every current Nigerian politician is either a relative of an older one, or a godchild of an older one. The people cannot make any choice. All our options are what they gave us. Maybe dividing Nigeria would have made sense in the 70s, but it can never favour you now. It can never favour any common man in any region now. |

Sportsweb: Oga, if opportunity miraculous comes out and this country is to be divided, abeg divide let everybody form their own nation. This Nigeria ain't working What exactly do you think will come out of your own nation? The only difference between you and others is the fact that you haven't ruled like them. The SE has the exact same potent bad leaders like others. See SEDC wey never reach one year, dem don blow 140 billion on nothing. If not for Tony Nwoye who called out some of the funny allocations for 2026, other senators don dey clap for am. Bad leaders na collective issue, and dividing Nigeria will never make any region better, even the Almighty Lagos. |

AnfieldFan: Amaechi is an interesting figure😂😂
He's aware Nigeria is washed, he's also aware that Nigerian Politicians are a swarm of locusts that have all but razed Nigeria to the ground albeit with the compliance of our populace due to extreme docility...
But what bedevils me sometimes when I hear him speak is the way he thinks of himself, he fancies himself a man of clean conscience who can't help but be corrupt and steal because we let him...
He strikes me as one who always has an existential soul crisis within himself, like telling himself that he won't mess with the People's commonwealth if he gets power but then keeps going back on his word and internal resolve because he's weak and money is too tempting combined with the knowledge that we, they people won't do anything ...
I don't even know if this makes sense or if it's true at all and I can't point to one single statement that he has made that makes me feel this way(I would say it's a collection of speeches and interviews), but it is how I feel...
He is just like the rest of them, he is a locust and a hypocrite too and on one hand, I feel like if he's self aware enough to know these things, he should shut up but that would mean one less person for APC to worry about and that would counterproductive... Someone who just decamped to ADC in 2025, wants to educate us on Opposition. A Buharist for that matter |

If u talk now, some people will say u must align with them if u don't want Tinubu to continue as president in 2027; they will say if u don't align with these hypocrites then it means u are working for Tinubu's continuity. shior!
I detest people like Amaechi and ElRufai; anybody seeing them as the only way is just allowing himself to get fooled by these political gangsters for their selfish reasons. Elrufai that was rubbishing opposition in 2023, is the person that wants my vote... I'll rather use my thumb for money rituals than thumbprint for these kind of people |

What exactly did he do to stop Tinubu from winning? Is there any post on Amaechi asking Nigerians not to vote Tinubu in 2023? All Buhari's people should go and rest. They have had their time. They can never be throwing shades at opposition. They should rest. When Tinubu calls him now, he will go to Aso rock and begin to sing again |

PDPGuy: At best, she will place 2nd in the primary.
Now, speaking of the primaries, as the 2026 Electoral Act only permits direct primaries or consensus choices, how would new/small parties like the ADC, AA etc hold such primaries in all 774 LGAs? That would be a tough task to execute sha She will place 5th sef. Ogun primaries no be by English oh. It will mostly be by Consensus. I even believe that parties like ADC already have their presidential candidate ready. They are just waiting for the deadline to do the direct primary. |

BlueRayDick: I've just read through the article; Amaechi didn't make any sense at all.
Person wey serve under Buhari and kept making excuse for that government while he was running Nigeria to the ground is here talking about "Urgent Call to Save Nigeria’s Democracy". Did he not remember democracy while Buhari was ruling like an emperor?
Why does he suddenly care about democracy now if not for his own selfish reasons?
You see this Amaechi, El-Rufai, Malami, Lauretta Onochie and other Buharists now forming opposition figures, we no supposed dey hear their voice when Nigerians dey complain about this administration at all. I thought it was only me. That has to be one of the most hypocritical, self centered, deceptive statement we have heard in ages. Just 3 years ago, you fostered Tinubu on Nigerians. Today, you want to tell us you are for us, because bread no reach you. Talking about hypocrisy, what exactly has he identified with as an opposition. We have seen Obi, Atiku lament since 2023. Where was Amaechi's voice then? Nq people like this guy, Elrufai, Malami and the rest make me no support Obi for ADC.
