What people don't understand is that CS cannot win you a match. As a defender, the highest VVD can do is marshal the defence to be watertight. But if you keep the whole CS in this world and your strikers don't score, you can't win the match.

Even for the CS sef, we see influential signings made in that defense department. So why only VVD?
