Xiaomi is catching up to Huawei , am I wrong ?

PS I use a Xiaomi phone.
And you would have bought a Xiaomi that doesn't have Facebook, whatsapp, instagram, chrome, Mozilla, snap chat, Google Map and the entire play store?

Can you buy a phone like that?

many times i have transferred change to riders, many times i done VTU recharge for riders.
One should be smart enough to understand the mood/attitude before d end of a trip.
We are talking about a girl who reached her destination and said she would go into d hotel room and bring my money.
She took her bags and shoes and left nothing.
She would have stayed back and not bring my money.
I was just confident, 1. I was at GRA, 2. I was close to my house,
A girl who hurriedly and excitedly brought my money in few moments . 2k, fare was 1300.
Gave her 500 to balance 200 that was not available.
And with a pleasant gesture, you owe me 200.

Well some people want to read all the details to understand little gist.
The Frank guy always has an insultive way to drop his view

Calling someone senseless for nothing

If only some of you know how the Huawei board is sweating on their butts,... grin

Huawei's problem is not with China adopting their OS. It's with the rest of the world.

The girl doesn't come off as a terrible person, but a clumsy one. Most Nigerians are not time-conscious people. I would do anything I think is most convenient and civil option for me. Sure, lets play ostritch. It was from a good place... wink
I'm not even concerned about what transpired. It's the change part I'm asking

You complete a ride of #800. You are given #1000 and you don't have #200. It's late already. What would you have done?

The "yes, I owe you...your father", what is the insult for? That statement shouldn't be hard to decipher. It isn't rocket science.

It is not him forcing her to forfeit her balance, but it definitely doesn't come from a good place.
The "your father" was probably said in his mind. He couldn't have said that to her

And we can't just conclude it wasn't from a good place. Put yourself in his shoes that night. What would you have done?

She was been nice from the beginning, but you are too aggressive and pouring out your frustration at her.
And Neva force someone to dash you his/her change, u are supposed to hv change with you (that's y riders prefer bank transfer cos drivers like you feels dey are entitled to people's change)
Can you please show us the part where he "forced her" to leave her change?

you just want to rant without reasoning. Did you read my first post? I never said huawei was better off now although I will buy huawei if I want to. What I said initially is if the Chinese government were to intervene. So in your own delusion of America worship you think 6 extremely big Chinese, if compelled can't create an OS but you believe Google will miraculously survive after losing over 60% of its customer. Even as bad as Tecno and infinix are they made Android popular in Africa. If not for Tecno and Infinix which are also Chinese companies who would have known Android in Africa
So the six extremely big Chinese companies will create the OS and sell to who? Chinese only

An OS that won't have gmail, yahoo mail, facebook, whatsapp, instagram. Na only wechat and Alibaba we know. Is that something you'll want to put your money on?

Huawei is dying but not giving up. That doesn't mean it won't still die finally. They will come to a truce, but they can't compete with Android.

6am in the morning, I'll ask, I can't come and see my self in redemption camp. Funny how riders tell me lately to ask if it is card or cash trips and if they are going to pay via transfer. Whenever I ask and you end the call on me, I'll patiently wait for you to cancel, then I'll quickly check, if I see its a sweet trip, what does one do with ego? I'll patiently wait for the request to enter again and we can talk in a reasonable manner, but if it is Ayobo... Off app, wait for some mins for jump & pass
Arepo
Ayobo
Alagbole
Ijegun

And a host of all..... I no go

And make I give you one tip to dodge cancellation. If rider refuses to cancel, just click arrive, and wait for 5 minutes, then cancel with the reason "Client did not show". It won't count against you

I was doing god boy driver before until they show me pepper too, I started asking by force even in the morning.
I ask for every single trip. A lady just cancelled on me now. She said she can't tell me until I come. I simply told her to cancel that I can NEVER come until I'm told the destination.

Some of these riders don't have mercy. Your street will be flooded and you'll be telling me "Can't you see other cars and keke passing it"? angry

Some even ask if the rider is paying with card or cash.

I always ask for destination no matter the time of the day.

A man once told me I was not supposed to ask. And I told him some places are not motorable, and I must ask. If you refuse to tell me, I cancel

So it’s my first week of Uber driving and these are the lessons learnt :

So many people living above their means so as to please people (especially in Lekki, but what do I know ? It’s all about faking it till they make it )

There are lots of undocumented extremely comfortable people in Nigeria , they don’t care about the price just deliver !

Uber will make you meet people you planned meeting in ten years ( whatever comes off it is up to you , some would want your service on offline but it depends on your carriage and rapport )

Uber itself is a morale , career booster ! ( met a young fella into software programming and development , same thing I am into ... he told me some one or two things , some websites to secure very high paying Jobs )

There are very toxic and extremely selfish people that don’t care about you or your car , they just give you directives like they are your parents (met a woman that keeps nagging and querying me about why I was driving too fast , then too slow , that i want Uber to take all her money , funnily it was just a 600N trip and she wanted me to go through the worst of roads )

Lots and lots that I can’t put here for some passenger privacies ( met an associate of the guy that got a popular blogger pregnant which was the talk of the town at that moment ... from the phone calls among other things was where I deduced things )

Etc Etc Et Al

Gotta sleep ...... stay safe on the roads guys

Some of you guys here are drivers and might never own A car of ur own.

I'm proud to be a driver and I believe God will help me own a car in this business, with my hard work.

Via Uber dashboard we earn nothing less than 80k-85k weekly. And goes home with 20k weekly.

But still want to manipulate owner, believe me you can't succeed with manipulation, it will only glow at the beginning, but on the long run, you won't succeed.

I mention here I take home 20k weekly, most of u attack me poverty mentality that the 20k weekly is not enough as a driver. Giving me a breakdown expenses.

But you expect owner that invested millions to give us opportunities to take home that same amount. Repent guys the kingdom of God is close
But the person that posted the advert is not a driver naa. It's the car owner. Abi dem force am collect 20k? undecided

If I owned a car, I can't give it out for 20k sha. Instead I go put Ragolis bottle for the top grin

When life gives you cassava, don't be worried. Turn it to tapioca sharparly grin

And I took this decent looking child of God from Radisson blue at Ozumba to Abuleegba. Trip was fine, map was working. Sound city was repping.

On getting to IyanaIpaja, I checked fare only to see #500. I laughed so hard and thanked my God. You know why? Uche and his gang go collect only #75 inside.

Ended the trip and the lady was shocked. I told her to give me 5k but she pleaded that she has only #4k. I use shakara collect am.... Thanked her and we bade ourselves farewell.

Uche can take #75 from it. After all, he deserves it grin

It doesn't make sense to me to seek low remittance for a hire purchase agreement, unless the driver has no intention of paying off that car ab-initio... The sooner he's able to pay off the better unless he's setting himself up for indentured servitude
And you think he won't default for 18 to 24 months?

40k plus bearing all expenses will wear any driver out, especially in this time of peanut fares

I wish any driver who takes it well. But in the end, the owner wins
