Romance › Re: 6 Reasons Nigerian Men Run From Marriage by izzou(m): 6:33am On Apr 20, 2018

1. No wife materials
Common among some men is the reservation that there is scarcity of ‘wife-materials’ in Nigeria.
This is the most deluded statement I've heard from a lady

2. They get sex freely without marriage than in time past
Realizing now that they can get sex more easily than in times past, when ‘virginity’ for women was a pass value to marriage, some men now feel lot of women today have lost it when it comes to keeping themselves whole.
So in marriage, you don't get sex freely baa? undecided Another trash as I expected

3. Nigeria weddings are expensive
In a country where a man is expected to marry a woman in three different kinds of wedding- Religious, Traditional and Court, the cost of marriage no doubt is something men find very intimidating. Presently the average Nigeria wedding cost something like N700,000 and the it goes upward from that to more unimaginable cost.
So gatemen, drivers, and people that work in the same biscuit factory with you don't have husbands and wives baa? Did they spend as much as 700k? Keep living in delusion

4. In search of a ‘working class’
Today, most Nigerian men are in search of a wife capable of sharing financial responsibilities with them. Gone are the days when men marry ‘full-house-wives’, the increasing cost of living has tilted most men in favor of ladies who have a means of livelihood and willing to share with their man, the burden of building a home.
Well, this reason makes a little sense angry

5. Unrealistic Expectations from In-laws
Some parents have set certain standards for anyone who will marry their child, either way be it that such expectations are from the groom parent’s or bride, the regulations sometimes affect relationships
Give an example of an unrealistic expectation or for ever lipsrsealed

6. Trust issues
Most times, people fear to get committed into a relationship because of trust issues. Some men have been bruised in their past relationships and therefore they don’t want to put themselves out there.
You are talking about marriage. This means they must be in a relationship already. So how is the issue of trust here again.? Mtcheew angry

“I think that whatever age a person chooses to run should not matter; what should matter is the preparedness of the person because elective positions require some skills.
If only we had known this earlier, Buhari would not have won.

Anyways, I will vote for anything except Buhari come 2019. I prefer to wail in the hands of another politician than to continue in the afflictions of both you and the dullard

Why is everyone so emotional? grin grin grin

The other day, Sanusi Lamido's son got a job as a police officer. How many people typed GOD BLESS HIS PARENTS?

You know why? Because we always feel the rich oppresses the poor with their privileges, and we forget that we would do much more if we got there.

That boy got that job because his mother recommended him first, then he passed the test and interview, which is very beautiful. God bless his mother

Would you have said the same if the mother was rich? If no, then you are just as hypocritical as I thought

Like I said, don't let your emotions becloud your sense of judgement. What happened her is just Connection, Corruption(if I may borrow the word) and man-know-man.

You can actually scroll down if you don't like what I typed

what's your point exactly, did you miss the part where it said she is a CLEANER that recommended her son,who sat and passed the interview?
My point is, it was her recommendation that got her son a seat for the test and interview

If it was the rich, would you have said the same? You still haven't answered

I have no issue with the son or the job. I'm happy for them. But the lower class always feel cheated if it was the other way round

I'm sure if her son was sidelined and someone else was taken based on recommendation, she would have cried to God. But here she is, doing the same grin

Hope you get my point? cool

And if you don't, please don't quote me again. My hand is paining because you still don't understand kiss

I don't think there are direct buses to Kebbi from there

Just take a bus to Sokoto, and then you'll board a car to Kebbi or even directly to the camp

Or board a bus to Minna or Kontagora, and do the same

so guys what do you think about this plan??
Iddo, Oyingbo or Ijora

You will see buses going to Kebbi. You all could charter to Dakingari. It shouldn't be up to 10k. 8K5 max.

Or better still, board a bus going to Kebbi. Stop at Koko. Tell the driver to stop you at the junction where you'll board a car going to Dakingari. This should be at least 7k

Then take a car to the camp. It shouldn't be up to 1k
