Installations is pretty easy! Let me know how many you are buying I have my guys in Enugu they can swing by and install for you.

Price of the 400w delivered to Enugu is #48,500
PropertiesRe: Our Solar Street Light. by jabolo(m): 12:42pm On Jun 24, 2025
For the 400W

- Price (delivered to somewhere like PH, or installed even)?
- How long in between battery replacements and can this be done by anyone?
- Price of batteries when it comes to replacement?

Thanks, and apologies if this has been answered somewhere else on this thread.

I'm also in the same positiion, family house, nostalgia etc. Only last week, I was discussing the import option for refurbishment.

I'm guessing we can get a critical quantity for imports if we put our minds to it.

Do you have a link to share for preliminary research?

We invested in agbalaka bond backed up by one SW state.

They paid first 3 coupon and when the gov died, next gov ignored us for another 2 years only for Afrinvest to buy us out with only our capital and interest of 2 years gone.

Good news, I got my capital.
Thanks for this useful feedback. Could you please share when the Afrinvest intervention took place as I would like to take it up with them.

They were original bookrunners on the bond and, as I recall, one of the security instruments with this bond was a legally constituted charge on accounts related to the Ondo state allocations from the FGN, and was blessed by the State legislature. Don't want to be flippant but it shouldn't matter whether the Governor died or lived on. So the bond was not really unsecured.

If this arrangement failed then it has implications for similar arrangements elsewhere and must be publicized widely.

Bakosokoto:
You might want to look @ Presco PLC 7yrs Bond on offer now
On this particular bond, yes it is unsecured, but you rely on the Aa rating from Agusto in making the investment decision.

My view sir.
Appreciate your respectful disagreement Chief, but I also respectfully disagree.

Most people seeing that particular post would naturally assume those are his works. He needs to make clearer those are not his works.

For example, an unknown architect using a picture of Cocoa House to vaguely advertize his skills would be ridiculed and avoided, don't you think?

Even better, he needs to post his own works. That's all the reference he needs. People here are mostly generous in spirit.

Good day.

The turbines were just delivered in December (https://independent.ng/power-ondo-ag-gov-aiyedatiwa-to-take-delivery-of-n7-8bn-worth-gas-engine/) so not yet operational. Paying coupon from financing cashflows could be a mini-Ponzi.

On the other hand, the ultimate Guarantor is the Ondo State Government so there is your recourse.

I believe RayRay06677 asked a similar question in September, and later confirmed the coupon is usually paid a couple of days late.

Likely there are.

If you have mostly organic matter (food waste etc) in a bin that is unopened over a period of time, decomposition produces an accumulation of methane gas which can build up and explode when the metal bin subsequently gets heated in the sun.

Or, by a fire source such as burning cigarette carelessly introduced in or near the bin.

By eye really. Slimmer profile blocks are better to behold somehow.

Or, just count the number of coaches on the fence. Typical 9 inch blocks would be 9 coaches, here we have 12.

If the tank is the battery, what will be the battery when the same setup is used for irrigation?

I know the Irrigation doesn’t need a tank
The 'battery' here is the volume afforded by the irrigation canals.

n3xt:
The DC pump
The water tank is the 'battery' in this setup. The solar pump will fill the tank intermittently but there is always a buffer to ensure adequate water drawoff.

It is incorrect advice to suggest you don't need batteries for a process that, say, requires continuous power even if during the day. Sizing the battery to the barest minimum after evaluating the business needs might be better advice.

Good day.

What is the difference between discount rate and implied yield?
These things are traded on the secondary market so you use the latest price to calculate the yield to maturity of the paper.

Taking that price into consideration, the yield is the return (expressed on an annualized basis) you as an investor would be earning if you bought today.

Hope it helps.

for the question raised.... the roofer was informed from the beginning of the project that we are installing solar on the roof.. so enough support was provided for the roof and also during the installation of the solar panels, the roofer was on ground to monitor the installations as well so that no damage is done to the roof..
Thank you for your prompt response, which makes sense - for a new build.

My implied takeaway is that those with already built houses would need a proper survey (by a roofing professional) before the installation.

Good luck.

lets work for you
HNY.

I do like the way you're diversifying into associated services. Homeowners can 'pick and choose' what they require from you.

When I recover from my disappointment over another esteemed electrical services provider from NL (who effectively 'abandoned' my job), I might be looking to introduce solar panels to the existing installation, and contact you.

Quick question first: My biggest issue with retro-fitting solar panels on the roof is who takes liability for damage to the roof structure and sheets. I don't see a cherry-picker or similar machinery being used here so I take it the installers are going to be clambering all over the roof. In my view, typical Nigerian roof support stuctures do not have beefed up joists to carry all that weight of people and it is often difficult to locate the rafters for manouevering.

Do you use specialists for this aspect of the job and, again, who provides the warranty against roof damage?

Thanks

Tourette Syndrome (TS).

...
(TS) is a condition of the nervous system. TS causes people to have “tics”.

Tics are sudden twitches, movements, or sounds that people do repeatedly. People who have tics cannot stop their body from doing these things. For example, a person might keep blinking over and over. Or, a person might make a grunting sound unwillingly.

Thank you very much sir. But I didn’t quite get it. What number should I enter under the input coordinates? Is it the number ending in mE and mN or the angles on each beacon points on the survey plan?
Yes. One of the beacons is usually identified as the reference for which these details are provided - usually in a box on the survey plan. As you know, all other beacons are determined relative to the reference beacon using the provided angles and distances, simple geometry.

The number with N goes into the Y-axis and the number with E goes into the X-axis. Click <<Transform>> and the lat/lon of this reference beacon should be calculated. Further click on the map option to see it on a map.

Hope it helps. Please note that I'm not a surveyor - i just happened to chase down this particular rabbit hole a while back and kept this knowledge filed away.

Please I need help with this question.
I chased this down a few years ago. It's almost like a closed shop of trade secrets.

There are many websites that help you convert geodetic datums (which Surveyors use) to lat/lon coordinates. I found out that Nigerian surveyors use the specific Minna datum (happy to be corrected!) and this link I ended up with, should do what you want.

https://epsg.io/transform#s_srs=26332&t_srs=4326&x=326432.0800000&y=1018652.7100000

You enter the input coordinates on one side and it shows the lat/lon coordinates on the other side. Even more useful, it can show you the location on a map.

Hope it helps.

Treasury bills is a bid and offer process. If a bank bids 10% and CBN offers 13%, the bank gets 10%. If the bank bids 13.1%, the bid fails.
RayRay06677:
He was right. Stop rate gives max rate for that bidding. If you bid within the range, you get what you asked for but if outside range your bid is deemed failed and your money returned to you. That's the reason different banks get different rates on same auction.

If you have 50m and above, you can place your bid independently from the bank, if within range then you get exact what you asked for.

Thanks for reading my submission though not professional.
