Is there anything you have done because of love which you regret anytime you remember? Hmmm, I can remember a friend of mine that helped his new girlfriend to write an exam, this my friend (Let me call him A) is a scholar on a good day, this babe begged him to write an exam because she has failed that same exam back to back, she couldn't afford another failure. My guy being the Samaritan he is agreed but with the promise of entering the promise land after all said and done. We the friends gingered him and some advised against it. To cut the story short, he was caught and saved by a hair's breadth, the said girl reneged on her promise and threaten to 'finish' my guy if he make any advance towards her. Come see how she was loyal prior the exam, this made my friend never to try such and anytime he remembers, he always seem like crying. We do taunt him till today and to cap it all, he had to pay his way out with his own money. ![]() Share your experience... |
The author is unarguably right. We did not ask, what kind of load? Even thinking is a load. The thing is, kids can easily relates to it, what's the importance of teaching if pupils can't relate to what's being taught? Even if those kids have never in their life carried a physical load on their head, they have seen others do it. It's just hypocrisy if we fail to call a spade a spade. Learning is a gradual process and the good thing is, life never stops teaching. |
If we are not getting it right, can't our minister for Education visit foreign countries to seek for help? I mean, he should go to countries like America, Finland, France, ask for the method they use over there to in relation to their lecturers and implement it over here. If we can't get an acceptable indigenous program/1software to enroll the intellectuals in, let's go ask for one and the issue of Ippis or no ippis will be sorted out once and for all. |
Wow, would have advised you to endure and face it head on but since this is 100l first semester, you can continue but rewrite waec/jamb, go for a course you like in art and live your life to the fullest. It's better to change now and live later to regret it, take a manly decision. To pacify those at home, just continue going to the school, you must have paid school fees et al, so maximize what's paid. |
Same here please. |

He won't remember. I barely remember what happened when I was 10yrs old. My childhood, I only remembered memorable event so don't worry, the boy won't remember but stop this your act. Accept Christ and don't go to that single mum house again. |
Kind of thread I love. Due to the increase in grain, supply of bread will shift outward, and also, because the population decided to consume other food than bread, the demand curve will shift inward So, there will be a fall in price and about quantity demanded, we will be unsure. The likelihood is for there to be an increase in quantity demanded/supplied but we are unsure. This is because we don't know the change that has the higher impact. Is it the increase in grain or decrease in demand? To know this, we have to be sure of the elasticity, we have to know by how much an increase in grain causes an increase in the supply of bread and also, how big is the fall in demand. I would have given you a detailed diagram but my phone's rear-camera lens got smashed some days back. Can't take a clear picture. Adiós |

You write well. |
Betrayals Hmm, maybe one day, I will write a story and title it betrayal. So many but I've forgotten them however these two stands out. A cousin of mine was getting married. I thought I was a close friend to his lil bro, I mean, we attended same primary and secondary school, sat together, same gang. The night of the party, wanted to sleep, so, it's genial for me to sleep on his Bed. I entered his room, two children were already sleeping there with him, however, I could manage a little space, it's just for a night as I intended to leave that place the next day. My fried said I can't sleep on his bed that it's too crowded, offered a wrapper and spread it close towards the bathroom for me to sleep. Jeez! This is someone I can break my back for, someone I could borrow to help. We were both in different institution, he is someone that can come to my school and I will host comfortably, even provide babes for him and go sleep elsewhere. The betrayal was the audacity in telling me he couldn't shift for me to sleep. Till now, it still caused a strain in our relationship. Never went there to spend the night again, families are like WTF! Also, I made sure that anywhere I go to spend the night, be it family or not, I have my own bed. Having my bed doesn't necessary mean taking bed to everyplace I wanna sleep... It means having enough worth that people would be willing to give me theirs. I love you brother... We move Second betrayal Hmm, there is this girl in my class that's quite pretty. Schooled in the south so speaking Yoruba is quite uncommon. Found out she has a boyfriend who is one of my friend. Well, the girl and I do speak sometimes and rounds were going that I was dating her since whenever we meet, we just speak Yoruba uncontrollably, those that didn't understand the language read meanings and told her boyfriend which is my friend. My friend called me and try to confirm his suspicions, I allayed his fears. The moment I know both were together, there is that camaraderie that came to be, I took both as friends. Nothing more, even stopped to speak Yoruba with her. I withdrew myself from the said girl. Later, this babe went to tell her boyfriend that I'm trying to meet her eyes and ***** Gosh, loads of what never transpired. So, came to class hearing the boyfriend want to involve cultist into the matter. Hmmm, innocent me. The guy was like whenever I see him, I'm always pricked by conscience that I rarely speak to him too. I thought he trusted me... Anyway, we move. Remembered when I had face-off with some bad boys, they threatened to beat me black and blue. The news went viral and almost all my friends start running from me. Anytime they're with me, there's that urgency. Hmmm When I'm a friend with someone, I maintain my loyalty to the letter, I don't switch sides even if it's insidious for me. I just can't stand myself betraying someone. |

Well written. However, I couldn't help but notice the enormous pride /arrogance the article is clouted wiith. I mean, the way you demeaned others just to prove a point, maybe you don't know, if you are blaming auxiliary nurses for their mistakes, what about their success? Since you are placing so much importance on Jamb, then Nursing should peg their cut off mark to be as high as that of Med and Surg and let's see if you would have made it. So much debilitating words casted on RN holders, Jupeb students are given admission to study Medicine (200l of course) Besides, physiotherapist has more prestige than nursing. The commodity that is scarce possess the highest value. Come to the basics, The number of people admitted for Med and Surg, Dentistry, Physiotherapy etc is very limited but nursing; hmmm, as high as 120+ That reduces the value(economically) and Oh, it's not just in Nigeria. Lastly, learn to write without bringing others down, RN holders shouldn't be Juxtaposed with a road side mechanic The corruption et al are all on point, the larcenous fees; so on spot. Ciao |
helpmeohgod:Hmm this skin itch has been a millennial problem, has the capacity to plummet ones GP to 0.1. in short, when it crawls up to the public area, just know you're gone. Even with money for treatment, I spent months battling that infection, all thanks to Benzyl Benzoate. Come to think of it, I'm staying in one of the highbrow hostels, chaiii. I don suffer, the resultant effect manifested conspicuously in my 1st semester exam. Oh! I'm enjoying your story. I have a Mentor, he sponsored himself all through, now, he is a multi-millionaire, running a school. Smiles, he started as a teacher, made his first one-million as a teacher. ![]() |
The thing is that Lecturers are abusing this right to go work as external exaniners, part time lecturers etc. They leave their initial school and could be teaching in more than 3 schools at the same time. Tell me how this is beneficial to the students? Worst is when the schools are located in different states and there will be cases where a lecturer only presented himself three times in a semester. Woe betide the students. I feel it's not right for the Government not to resolve issues with ASUU and pay them them their salaries. They are also humans, they've worked for it, they deserve their pay. However, during strike actions, the government shouldn't pay them their full salaries, maybe half. That way, both parties bear a cost and would be reluctant in using strike as a weapon of negotiation. If anything differs from this, there's bound to be crisis as the weight all bears down on the student who lose years being unproductive. |
She actually liked you You heard right, everyone sees her as reticent They don't wanna mention her name, you never for once thought about her But silently, she sees you as her hero Your words hurt her, she broods anytime she sees you sitting alone She thought she could come closer Feelings like this makes her feel less bolder. She've envisaged you both as pals, whenever you're with others, she'd crave that attention She stands at the corridor holding the coarse piers, looking at you from the backstage. To her, you're the glamorous princess No homo, she went online;glared over all your profile pics, zoomed to see your fluffy cheeks She was tensed and shy in clicking the like button Coz anytime she thinks of you, you give her goosebumps. For four years, she soliloquized about how wonderful to be with you, she felt you look idem After several shots of self confidence, she took a walk towards you Dosed in fear but after all, she's about to face it, even if it's a hi...Oh! She made up her mind Meeting you, you sized her up, you never took notice, Felt disdain, your cheeky smile becoming impassive, She cussed herself under her breath, Scurried off but hearing your loud jest. Finally, she can't take it anymore, slowly, She buillt a niche of hers The sobriquet she secretly named you was her trade emblem You've depreciated in her eyes, when once, you're her f**king HERO. Diary of the quiet artist. |
iammo:Don't mind that one, he doesn't know music. |

It happens, sometimes you just believe that it is impossible to happen. You shouldn't have told everyone you are to write an exam, tell them the success, not the process. |
One day, I was up and doing my barbing apprenticeship. So, these girls (SS2 and ilks) came in, like two of them were to barb while others came for unmm, barbing support... The camaraderie among friends became manifest and they got talking. One said jocosely, " Your lips have been getting reddish oo" The other who was sitting beside her responded belligerently.. " Don't talk about it, is it not that Agric teacher? The first time she came to class, she insults me, telling me how dark my lips are, she compares and likened me to a smoker. Whenever it's her period, she uses me as an example and make mockery of me in front of the whole class" "... Since then, I started rubbing cream on my lips to make it light..." She continued. Pheeew, that's one of the most terrifying thing I've heard in a while. It only took the teacher an encounter to shatter the girl's world. Now, she will never feel complete. |
Petyprincess:Don't do that... Titus, OMG. Make sure your data is on; would track your loc through that. Cheers |
Born2winnx:Haven't read the story you mentioned, not even this one, however, we should laud writers. It's not easy to string words together to create a piece, talkless a story. I wish you know the complexity in it, it's okay to not flow with the story but lambasting the writer is a no no. You could decide not to read it since there are myriads of others. To me, every story is fantastic but not every story I connect with. It applies to everyone as there are others who love what the writer is doing. To all the great writers in the house, I hope to be like you someday. And to you Cheers. Ciao |
Petyprincess:Fufu Vegetable and Emm Turkey. Cheiii... Address asap. |
