same here bro.
God will see us through.
Since February after we were ordered to evacuate the school's premises due to the useless festival of sports, we've all been incarcerated at home.
So may I ask, have you made any valuable use of the long vacation?
Mine is worst

Yours is better.
I didn't resume that January so been out of school since... Was it November?

Yea, while in 200l or so, I've been learning how to style hair anytime there's an holiday; when the vacation became longer had to stick to my styling.

Funny enough, people feel handiwork is a waste(Given I'm a supposed literate), why not intern or sell petroleum products as popular around here??

Then, I tried partaking in an online course, the course was so hard and I don't have some materials needed for it. Another thing is, there's no certificate to it so I had low morale in pursuing it

Anyway, the holiday has made me learn new things like HTML cheesy
Still at intermediate level cool

However, those seem uninspiring.
What about you?

Religion / Re: How Were You Able To Quit Your Addiction? by Jackossky(m): 10:03am On Sep 06, 2020
Didn't quit.
Jeez, my mistake was I didn't know it was an addiction, I felt I could stop whenever I feel like but the experience to me was sweet so, why stop when I can stop tomorrow, later, it started affecting my personal life, I'm always intoxicated especially at night, without it, couldn't have a good sleep, so, I realised I'm in a Penelope's web.
I dont think fasting did much but praying contributed just a lil ; maybe enormous in the supernatural realm but in the physical, just a bit.

So I decided on physical ways to stop, couldn't meet up still, said when I become become older, I will stop but as I grow, I kept on at it..... Hehehe

Now, I start having respite, giving myself a damn break and sometimes, I make a promise and lay curse on myself if I fail to keep to that date, I think that has worked.

I might still be addicted but I think the degree has lessened.
Alsoz this Bible quote do come to my mind

"Resist the devil and he will flee"

The emphasis is on RESIST

Hehehehehe.

It doesn't need prayers, God has important matters to attend to.

You guys should contribute money for a new transformer, write to your local government/state government about your dire need for a transformer, hold the official responsible for handling power distribution in your area and then, watch magic happen.

Please, who is this guy?

Read that. Had to go download "The monk who sold his Ferrari"

Lemme recommend one

"THE SMART MONEY WOMAN"

You don't know even if you will be wealthy like Otedola or rich like oga mechanic

Brotherly, one day, everything will be clear like a seaway. We should just be concerned for now about adding value to oneself for now

True, there are myriads that have made it at 22 but you didn't know the kind of paddling they undertook years ago or plans their parent orchestrated for them.

Let's move at our own pace and maybe, with enough value, we would strike gold.

Family / Re: How Guys Use Marriage To Plunge Themselves Into Perpetual Poverty. by Jackossky(m): 12:12pm On Jul 21, 2020
Let me put it in a more decent way

If you know your family does not have enough and you are the one to break the jinx of poverty, I mean, you decided not to inherit poverty and bestow it on your children, then, don't go into marriage when you are not ready, when you are still trying to get a hold on your feet...

See, being successful in Nigeria is hard enough for one person, adding a companion and birthing a youngling in such state compounds one's problem. It will be a perpetual poverty as the op noted, find your means first, have a stable life before saying you want to marry.
Don't marry in poverty, don't you pity your children?

Jeez, I feel like crying while writing this

veave:
Errrrrr. You go need patience oooo.

One thing you should know is that your brother is now married and is firstly responsible to his wife and kids before any other person so him allowing three extended family to stay in this hard times is an act of kindness and bravery please don't add more stress to his life by bickering with your in-laws. We women are troublesome by nature then when we see someone who has our time we extend the trouble. The truth is
1. There is no way the room would have been left for you while there are women in the house (they need privacy).
2. Why will you say that you will go to the village? Don't you know you give your brother some kind of security in the midst of his wife and her obviously troublesome sisters by staying with him? Has he asked you to leave yet?
3. You where wrong to slap the young woman, no matter what the grieviance is you don't touch a woman.
4. They where wrong to throw your mattress out but please forgive them and move on. Thank God your brother made provisions for a replacement.
5. Take this place as a training ground for your future, if it's anything you should be bothered about now, is to be more determined about gaining independence and making it in life.
6. Leave rofo rofo fight for women, in fact ignore them totally for your national peace.
7. Hustle!!! Hustle!!! Hustle oooooo!!!!

Hugs.

From inception, I have always thought it's wrong to lay hands on a woman no matter the offence, but lately, my perception has been changing. One, because young females are capitalising on it and 2, there are some offence that you might have to go physical. Like a quick slap reset or something
I meant there are some situations that calls for such and for months, I have been pondering if it's right or wrong to slap a girl.

I thought it was equal right and everyone should be treated the same.
If it's not right for a guy to slap a girl, then it shouldn't be right for a girl to do likewise.

Whatever her motivation is for doing such, then the tempo should be maintained in receiving the consequence of her actions with equal grace.

This is not just on the matter being deliberated but generally. So lady, I think we have to enlarge our schema.

Education / Re: Share Your Embarrassing Examination Day Experiences by Jackossky(m): 7:24pm On Jul 09, 2020
Okay, this one ain't embarrassing but kinda funny.

For a reason or two, your home boy and some of my course mate decided to write gst(100l course) in 300L.

I mean, we were in 300l and thinking of how to write an exam that we should have written in 100l, so, the day started with anxiety and doubt boldly written on our face.

It was our last paper and Home boy decided to locate his exam room(CBT exam)

when I found it, my guys were littering outside, waiting for the exuberant 100l and 200l to get in,waiting it out was quite embarrassing,I mean, having to fight for queue with those younglings.

As agba awo, we rendezvoused unknowing that an invigilator took Cognizance of us.

Since it's CBT, it doesn't matter when you get in, your time starts counting the moment you log into the system. We were the last to check into the exam room but as we did, one of the invigilators made a degrading statement about us being fools and chided us with words.

The man felt we were 100l students who are too blinded by the euphoria of being in school and ...

Well, you won't believe it, the exam was to last for an hour but somehow, at the 8th minutes, two of my guys stood up and headed for the exit. They were done

Everyone was just looking at them, I was kinda laughing in my mind, those guys are on strong 4.* Gp

While others were still looking, I clicked on the submit icon, home boy was done and before you know it, I was in my way to leave the exam room.

We got accosted by the invigilator that made a sarcastic remark on us earlier, he said it was impossible and he is suspecting us to be machineries.

We got delayed at the exit point as this man requested for our ID cards, we were still in the process when my other course mate came to join us, the man was simply astonished.

I can still remember his look when I recall the incident.

Las las, he got to know we were in 300l and demanded we buy him coke. Mtcheww, we did buy and do you know what amazes me

We all had A in the exam.

Something toutedt be very tough, fear my guys oo. Na genius dem be.

.It's just an experience that makes me to remember how scholarly my friends could be.

Laughs
