AntiZikist: Treat prostrate cancer the same way you will treat brain tumour - let it be
Fatality from prostrate cancer averages 2ys after surgery.
Those who don't undergo any treatment live on average 18.5ys and they always never die from prostrate cancer. What is this one saying? Go to urology department and see men who lived long for many years after prostatectomy. Where did you get your data? What field are you, even? |

AntiZikist: They used to treat some infections in the past with mercury injections .
We now know that mercury is lethal to the human body
Until we understand that the main medical complication surrounding prostrate cancer is not the cancer itself but other infections like UTI, urinary retention , bladder infections , etc.
These are what medical professionals should look into and not dangerous surgery and chemo that will see to a more aggressive cancer. We are talking about a malignant disease that kills and youre talking about cystitis, UTI etc which won't directly kill one. Urinary retention is a complication of prostate enlargement and as soon as the retention is relieved, how do we shrink the prostate? |

It will only be an inconvenience like every age related condition. What is this one smoking? Prostate cancer can spread via many routes, commonest is hematogenous to the bone. The commonest presentation of prostate cancer is low back pain and fractures. That's the number 1 killer and not the disease itself that does not spread beyond the prostrates. So what do you advocate for prostrate cancer? |

AntiZikist: Prostrate cancer is not an issue.
People live with it and will not die from it.
The main issue with prostate cancer is the treatment be it chemotherapy, surgery or radiation treatment.
The treatment of the disease is what leads to death .
More Medical scientists are now calling for both the treatment and routine test for prostrate cancer be reviewed but they are going against the behemoth beasts in the Medical Industrial Complex aka Big Pharma that makes a lot of money from this dangerous practice. How does the treatment kill? Once a cancer patient presents late(after metastasis), every other management is palliative. So the key is early detection. Stop this your ignorant rant on medical topics |

What's the difference when someone is seized and will not be set free until money is paid? ... is it not also kidnapping? The doctor should've been charged for kidnapping.... that will be upholding the law. If the doctor wasn't paid then it is for him to press charges on the mother for not paying for services rendered. I wonder if the CP has a young hot wife and the doctor seizes her for bill payment if he will take same action. Press charges where? Court? No body has also said patients shouldn't pay their bills or think hospitals are charitable organisations.
However, what some of us are condemning are:
1. Holding mother and infants hostage for 6 months. He has no right whatsoever to do that.
2. "The activist narrated that his team wasn’t the first to come for the discharge of the twins but the doctor kept hiking the delivery charges in order to make it difficult for whoever came for their release." 1.So what do you suggest the doc should have done? 2. Prices increase because the mother and babies are being taken care of by the hospital. Their medical, accommodation, feeding(probably) etc are added to the mounting bills |

The Doctor did all he could to frustrate the mother towards handing the twins to him in return for medical bills

AntiZikist: Shut your dirty mouth there.
The Doctor was looking at stealing those twins and selling them
How much was the bill that the doctor was willing to detain the mother for 6months in his hospital after delivery ?
And same Doctor was jacking the bills daily so as to make it impossible for the mother to pay the bills.
The Doctor knew the girl was poor and that she is a single mother. He wanted to force her to hand over her babies to him from where he will sell them for profit.
Go and read how it took the intervention of the State Commissioner of Police to release both mother and babies. Idddiiot close your dirty trap! The added bills was for services like nursing, medical, feeding etc. Do you think the hospital won't do anything for them as they are there? The doc is obligated to provide services til those patients leave the hospital. Thus bills are mounting. Asking why the bills are high, hope you know that was twin delivery. Its not the same fees as normal spontaneous vertex delivery |

Or were they expecting the doctor to discharge them without paying. Nairalanders are already castigating the doctor. The bill increased for each day the twins and the mother spent in the hospital. That's how it works. If your bill is 20k and you fail to pay, after one week, it would get to 30k as long as you are being sheltered in the hospital Not just bills for the shelter, there are other services like nursing fees, feeding etc. The daffft Nairalanders don't think |

PulsingPurple: After taking days to reply, I thought you'd be making a more direct point. Can't you just make the final point you've been driving at.
I understand the need to take things easy and move slowly, one question at a time. But honestly, that would go well if the conversation was spontaneous, not all these hit-and-run messages.
That aside, it's common knowledge that some of the manuscripts and scrolls from which the scriptures were translated are still in existence, and are open to anyone who cares to do a lookup. There is also something called a Bible concordance, where each word/phrase on the Bible is cross referenced to its exact Hebrew/Greek/etc source word/phrase. So a person having trouble assimilating the logic of a sentence in a scriptural reading can easily go back to read the exact Hebrew/Greek version, compare the meaning, usage/context of the original version, go as deep as understanding etymology, background influence, etc of a word. The possibilities are limitless.
After all these, the person's sense of reasoning can add all these together and effectively re-translate that translation of the Bible.
The people who offered to translate everything only made the job much easier, so we read, hoping we'll get access to the right understandings.
Lastly, it's not just a book, you already know it's a spiritual kinda book (to us). So we pray for a small voice in our minds to help us explain each part as we read.
In the end, it's every man with his own understanding, two different people understand a passage from different perspectives, based on what they've been learning with. And then like minds gather together and agree with themselves, building and improving on previous knowledge.
We also take time reviewing the so called mistranslations and ascertaining that it is indeed an error, just like scientists would investigate hypothesis.
Good thing free speech is somewhat allowed and we can say it out, if we conclude that there's mistranslations circulating.
All this is to say I've said as much as I can say, in an effort to end this unnecessary deviation.
You should make a direct point. Pardon any bad grammar too. Are you aware some of us have jobs and don't always come every time to Nairaland. If you want a debate in the Bible, dedicate a day and time lets do it. About the topic, please where are those original manuscripts and do you have access to it? If you don't, then you don't have a case |
