The only document that is ever requested by Nigerian policemen is cash. I have been driving Nigerian roads since the time Jesus captained the Jerusalem Juggernaut Football Club, and thus I have not yet to be asked to show my driving license to any Nigerian policeman at a check point along any Nigerian road. All the same I do carry my fake but beautifully designed Oluwole-printed driving license everywhere I go, simply as a matter of patriotic pride. Have cash, will travel. Driving licenses are for stubborn Nigerian road users who think they can refuse to pay their road taxes as and when due. |
nothingspoil70:I noticed them with alarm as well, good sir. You are indeed a Man of Culture in good standing and with all rights and privileges implied. God breast Nigeria |
Validated:This is a brilliant summation. If I picked someone's pocket to the tune of one thousand, my handing back two hundred does not make me that person's saving grace. |
Sellfish:I observe from the picture that you failed to fry the government-prescribed akara in accordance with the laws you quoted, therefore please turn yourself in at the nearest high court in your area, so that your fair trial can commence to allow justice to run its course. God bless Ajegunle |
EyeCumInPeace:Any poon that is rented out to more than 69 subscribers is, in accordance with the Nigerian Constitution Chapter 23, Section 11, Verse 419, be defined guilty of allocating too many subscribers accessing one single poon, thereby qualifying all offenders for a custodial jail sentence of 6 months with hard labor, without the option of a fine. |
Godwins4:There is but one crop that is immune to cow damage, and that is oil palm trees. If you ever decide to venture back into agriculture, specialize in oil palm trees alone, and your only worry then will become kidnapping while visiting your farm. |
The architect of the reign of terror imposed on Igboland, under that insidious name of "stay at home" must be allowed to continue enjoying his own "sit in jail" holiday deep in the bowels of prison. |
Sonnobax15:I will NEVER touch touch the anointed blokkos of Sheikh Gummi in Jeeeesus name. Let me hear somebody shout Hallelujah! I will address all Fulani cow men as MEGIDA or OGAAJO to avoid aaabaaamo. Praise the Lord! I will ALWAYS smile and wave like a simpleton whenever I see Ogaajo Dan Fulani's cows enjoying and destroying my crops free of charge. |
The surveillance drone operators who failed to notify the chain of command about the approaching terrorist formations deserve to face a military tribunal and be court martialed for dereliction of duty. When those enemy fighters were initially spotted in a single file on that road was the time to raise the alarm so that ground attack aircraft could be called in to strafe and bomb the invaders. |
Igbophobia:This is the ultimate nightmare scenario. As much as the Chinese are to be mistrusted, their help with establishing a drone fleet for Nigeria would be a welcome development right about now. |
iwaeda:The comparison of Nigeria with Mexico is sadly an appropriate observation now. The Mexican drug cartel gunmen move in convoys and deploy belt-fed General Purpose Machine Guns, likewise the Islamic terror gangs of Northern and Middle-Belt Nigeria, while similarly equipped separatists prowl the nation's restive South Eastern states. |
Music lasts for generations, becoming a key element of human history. When the founding fathers of Nigerian Juju music are cited, King Sunny Ade and Chief Commander Evangelist Ebenezer Obey will ALWAYS be honorably mentioned in one breath. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lyXswaO6EpM https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=osNAy1DNkOQ |
It is absolutely a blessing for Nigeria and for Juju music lovers worldwide that BOTH founding fathers of Juju music are very much alive, and both still taking to the stage to play their timeless tunes for new generations to enjoy. The longevity and robust health of King Sunny Ade and Chief Commander Ebenezer Obey is testimony to lives lived in moderation and avoidance of the vices that have felled so many other younger performers. |
This marathon sex idea is not original because it takes after a British woman called Ms. Blue, who recently filmed herself having sex with hundreds of men to sell the footage online. There is apparently no shortage of men who are willing to dip their wick where hundreds have gone before. Such Russian Roulette sexual proclivity has sent many to early graves, yet hundreds more men are ready to roll the dice in the spirit of "any sex is good sex." |
Ilekokonit:In a photo lineup of 100 wealthy Nigerians, it is doubtful whether one could spot more than five individuals who are fit and trim. Factor in the traditional African association of obesity with "good living", and it is no wonder that physically fit Nigerians over the age of 30 are a rarity even today in 2025. On a positive note, Nigeria's young musicians and many of their fans take physical fitness seriously enough to exercise regularly, so the old ways are changing as a younger, better informed demographic replaces the waddling herd of clinically obese water buffalo that comprised Nigeria's middle class in bygone years. |
Righteousness2:Oga Pastor calm down na. No be by force to look am. And if you look am, anden no like am, just know say many of man pikin like to look am. Fine woman, na Papa God build am. If she dress to show Papa God work and I like am, I nogo need advice from Oga Pastor before I look am. Praise the Lord! |
Any pagan ritual that instills confidence in the mind of a criminal, will make that person a more successful and creative criminal due to the Placebo Effect, meaning that the PROCEDURES and even the monetary cost of participating in hocus-pocus rituals, impart a sense of omnipotence and impunity that is particularly beneficial if one is by trade a practitioner of deception. In a similar light, an outlaw gunslinger who procures voodoo amulets from a Babalawo witch doctor, will sincerely believe himself to be "bullet proof" even without wearing conventional body armor. That calm delusionary confidence that black magic will carry the day, will enable the ritualist pistolero to take more careful aim when partaking of gun duels, thereby improving the odds of prevailing or at least escaping the ballistic melee unscathed. In summary therefore, the "efficacy" of talismans, amulets, and rituals is not attributable to imaginary magical properties, but is by virtue of the psychological state attained by superstitious adherents who dress up in elaborate regalia and pay handsomely to undergo such "traditional" ceremonies which are, from a practical standpoint, purely theatrical. |
Amudeneogu:There was a recent news report online that Israel was cooperating with Nigeria to fight terror with Israel's high tech armaments and drones. One can only hope this joint endeavor commences right away all over Nigeria. |
Nigeria must beef up her drone fleet, and deploy drone fleets for surveillance, target designation and ground attack. While military boots on the ground are a requirement for keeping insurgents at bay, the role played by drones must be dramatically broadened and prioritized over conventional infantry combat or guerrilla warfare, in keeping with the rapid evolution of drone warfare as seen unfolding by daily installment amid Ukraine's battlefields. |
AbuAeesha:The presumption that legalizing cannabis would increase the number of weed consumers sounds logical, yet was not found to be true in places like California and Colorado, where weed usage by the general public did not change in a statistically significant manner, when data was examined both before and after the legalization took effect. Take cigarettes and alcohol as examples. Even as a lover of cannabis (vaporized but never smoked), I cannot stand the smell of cigarette smoke, and would NEVER touch a cigarette despite the fact that tobacco is perfectly legal to buy anywhere in most countries. Likewise I hate the way alcohol makes me clumsy, goofy, and sedated, so I avoid drinking alcohol save for maybe a can of beer every few months. The fact that alcohol is legal to buy and drink does not inspire me to become a drunkard. By the same token one should not presume that legalizing cannabis will serve to encourage non-stoners to get high for the first time. Returning to cannabis, it is also important to mention that there is a non-psychoactive component of cannabis called CBD, which is currently imported for use in a wide variety of medical therapies in Nigeria, where it retails for astronomically high prices. If Nigeria legalized cannabis, that liquid gold called CBD could be distilled from cannabis for local consumption and for export out of Nigeria in liquid form to earn vast sums of foreign exchange in stable currencies like the US dollar. |
Mabuggi88:You are going to be proved right in concluding that the "Gentle" gunman has now joined his ancestors. The two reasons you are right follow: 1. If he had been captured alive, the army would have immediately posted videos of their elusive quarry in chains, and being interrogated. 2. If Mr. Genital had somehow managed to evade the military's dragnet, he would have posted a video online within days, to show he was smart enough to avoid capture Since neither the army nor Mr. Genital have issued any video clips proving the fugitive either was captured alive, or escaped entirely, the only deductive conclusion to draw is that the body of the targeted militant was incinerated beyond recognition when the house where he was holed up was bombarded and bunt to the ground by the attacking troops. |
If you think you can guess at what I am thinking, then I think you might be wrong. |
tommy589:Regardless of my personal opinion on the subject, rich people who are afflicted with a narcissistic compulsion to announce their wealth in public by adorning themselves with jewelry, will turn themselves into juicy targets for hungry criminals. This reality prevails in Los Angeles just as it does in Lagos. A person who decorates their body with trinkets worth ten years of paid labor for university graduates living in the same country, will inspire hatred and crime when spotted by society's desperados, without adding anything of redeeming value to society by so decorating themselves in a bid to show off amid an angered majority of the population wallowing in abject poverty. |
2cribz:Ok then let us accept your appraisal that the poseur's gold chain was worth ten million naira or $6K in US dollars. Wearing gold chains worth more than some Nigerian graduates could earn as salary over the course of TEN YEARS, is just asking for trouble. |
Meanwhile, in Ghana, the government is pulling out all the stops to go full steam ahead with industrialized production of newly legalized cannabis for industrial and medical purposes. The economic boom that will be witnessed in Ghana WILL certainly attract the attention of Nigeria's legislators who one sincerely hopes will be inspired to replicate this highly lucrative business model in Nigeria. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8-_au58lZAk https://www.youtube.com/shorts/MM5QMjSx3VY |
Rilwayne001:Men who wear jewelry are weak and effeminate sissy boys suffering from fragile egos that need to be boosted by wearing shiny trinkets. Zero sympathy here for any man who gets rolled by hungry hoodlums who were attracted to that victim's display of excess wealth. If you can afford a $20K Rolex watch, don't be surprised if you lose your hand along with that watch one fine day. This villager can never fathom the rationale that compels rappers and assorted other poseurs to display wealth in the midst of poverty. |
DeepSight:This is a valid question for whose answer one can look to California, a cannabis-legal state, where inspection of legal cannabis grow operations was simply added to the responsibilities of law enforcement officers. Cannabis develops a distinctive aroma when the flowers are ripe for harvest, and the bigger the crop, the more pervasive and powerful the aroma that can be detected anywhere within 50 meters of the plant or plants. On the basis of odor alone, therefore, police officers can conduct spot checks to identify and prosecute growers who choose to exploit a relaxation of cannabis laws as an excuse to grow on a commercial scale. Conversely, licensed commercial export growers will, as a condition of their permits, grant the police access to their facilities to ascertain that the production limits are not being exceeded. |
odaniel1:The greatest economic boom of modern times would commence if Nigeria becomes the tenth African nation to legalize medical marijuana. |
derico:This is the best option for any nation's cannabis laws. If every citizen over the age of 25 is permitted by law to grow 6 plants legally for their personal consumption alone, while being prohibited from selling cannabis, criminals will be eliminated from the cannabis supply chain forever, and each grower will be able to rest assured they are not consuming poisonous chemicals when they ingest cannabis or its vapor. Harsh penalties and jail sentences should still apply to SELLERS of weed, but since users will be free to grow their own supply, the market for illegal cannabis will collapse instantly, putting the criminals that currently supply it and poison it, out of business forever. |
Zionmdde:One wonders whether there were other factors that contributed to the UK Home Office deciding to deport this lady. |
