Religion / The Double Standard Of Freeze In Calling Oyedepo: "Bald Headed Fowl" by jamael(m): 3:48pm On Feb 28, 2018
When I read Freeze's reaction to the news regarding former JTF boss giving 5 million to Winners Chapel, I was like shocked shocked.

The crux of the matter is neither Oyedepo, the JTF boss, Tithe and offering, or even Freeze.

No. The problem is that the yardstick Freeze uses in judging those men of God, is quite different from the one he uses on himself.

Freeze is the leader of His religious movement. We assume that it is also a Christian movement. This is because Freeze uses the Bible, prays and talks about Christ. Same as most men of God.

The yardstick which Freeze uses is mainly: (i) What the Preachers say, (ii) What the Preachers do and how they live (iii) What their members do.

I won't dwell on the second and the third. I'll give just one instance of the first case.

When Adeboye prayed for the death of relatives blocking the way to prosperity.
Freeze said: "We are gradually departing from the era of Grace and returning to the era of curses"
https://www.nairaland.com/4224116/daddy-freeze-eldee-react-pastor

But then I wonder, what does calling another human being "a bald headed fowl" amount to?

It is not a question of whether Oyedepo or anyone is right or wrong. It's not also a question of whether we can insult bad or good leaders. It's a question of what and who Freeze supposedly represents. Christ.

You can say the truth. But when you say it derogatorily, it becomes obscene. If you then go to the extent of equating a full grown man, with wife and children, to a fowl shocked shocked shocked. That's in the extreme. But the worst of it all, is too equate all his words, sermons etc as mere "screeching of the bald headed fowl". That is simply wicked and unbecoming of an acclaimed man-of-God.

Aside the fact that he (Freeze) earlier condemned cursing, what does the Bible, which Freeze expressly quotes from have to say with concerning that.

Matt 5:22 But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.

Matt 15:18-19 But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man. For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies:

Matt 12:37 For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.

1 Peter 3:10 For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile:

Ps 34:13 Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile.

Prov 21:23 Whoso keepeth his mouth and his tongue keepeth his soul from troubles.

If Freeze applies a tithe (a mere 10 percent cool cool) of the yardstick he uses on many people on himself, it will be for the best.

Finally, "He who comes into equity must come with clean hands."

My two cents.

Atheist, Pagans, Hindus, Budhist etc. all count their words with their teeth before talking.

But this is so bad. He first conceived a foul idea, modified it in his mind and then took time packaging it to look presentable, and what turned out was: "bald headed foul"?. shocked shocked shocked Jesus Christ.

Freeze, a so-called pastor, one who wants to emancipate the sheep (mind you, Jesus Christ calls His followers sheep) from "religious slavery" with just that single post shows he either does not read his Bible, or has overlooked:

Matt 15:18-19 But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man. For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies:

Yes of course. What I am saying is that for people who draw their basis for argument solely on the question of whether it was done, or said by Jesus, or the apostles and yet don't apply that rule to this issue.

Have you heard of Deborah?
You still don't get my point sir. In the services to the Lord, all positions were held by the priests (including singing). Check both old and new testament. Deborah's case was after a victory. Same as Mariam. What I am talking about is the regular services rendered to the Lord by the priests.

Do you get my point?

Where did you get it that only men sang in the Bible??
In the scriptures, those who sang were the Levites. The only exception being when Mariam sang after they left Egypt.

Relating it to contemporary choir groups, those who say so, will not allow women to lead songs. I actually attended such a missionary school.

The problem is that many people do not even know the meaning of the word doctrine. Go on deeperlife website and you will find the 22 doctrines that deeperlife believes in and it has been same since the inception of the church.
How do you call a man made set up like marriage committee, or building committee a doctrine? They are just administrative setup. There is no choir or usher in the new testament, it is an administrative set up and not a doctrine

Also, only men were singers in the whole Bible. Is it therefore unscriptural for women to sing? And yes, Jesus didn't make any reference to it, neither did any of the apostles.

We should be more optimistic about men of God. And test our standards on ourselves first.

Happy Sunday.

Religion / Re: Freeze Suggests Confessed Benny Hinn Refund Money To Those Lied To by jamael(m): 4:47am On Feb 25, 2018
Please, see what Benny Hinn said:

Popular Israeli televangelist, Benny Hinn, has faulted pastors, whose sermons only focus on prosperity and living ostentatiously.

Benny Hinn, while reflecting on Billy Graham’s death in a Facebook Live broadcast, called on preachers of the gospel to stop living extravagant lives and start living according to God’s instruction.

Everyone knows that that is not right.

According to him, everything should be about Jesus not other extravagant things

Word!!!

“We get attacked for preaching prosperity, well it’s in the Bible, but I think some have gone to the extreme with it sadly, and it’s not God’s word what is taught and I think I’m as guilty as others. Sometimes you go a little farther than you really need to go and then God brings you back to normality and reality,”

So true.

He admitted that as he has grown older and come to understand the Bible more, he now realizes that some of the things he learned from preachers when he was growing up weren’t biblical and the popular interpretation of the prosperity gospel — the teaching that believers have a right to the blessings of health and wealth and that they can obtain these blessings through positive confessions of faith and the “sowing of seeds” through the faithful payments of tithes and offerings is one of those things.

“The more you know the Bible the more you become biblically based and more balanced in your opinions and your thoughts because we are influenced. When I was younger I was influenced by the preachers who taught whatever they taught. But as I’ve lived longer I’m thinking wait a minute, you know this doesn’t fit totally with the Bible and it doesn’t fit with the reality. So what is prosperity? No lack. I’ve said this before.

“Did Elijah the prophet have a car? No. Did not even have a bicycle. He had no lack … Did Jesus drive a car or live in a mansion? No. He had no lack. How about the apostles? None lacked among them.

“Today, the idea is abundance and palatial homes and cars and bank accounts. The focus is wrong … It’s so wrong.”

“I mean forgive me. People have accused me of things that aren’t even real. One guy wrote a comment ‘Oh he’s worth 40 million.’ Oh how I wish. I would give it all to the Kingdom before God Almighty.

“‘Well he flies private jets,'” he continued mimicking criticism. “No, I don’t. I have not flown private in dear God years. I fly commercial just like anyone else.

“We all sadly make the mistake of thinking that this is what God wants and God says ‘No, that’s not what I want.’ It’s time to live biblically. You know it all comes down to one thing. Do we love Jesus, yes or no? If we love Jesus then it’s all about Jesus. If we don’t love Jesus then it’s about other things.

It is very good for ministers to also consider their messages and the emphasis they place on it in relation to the emphasis God places on it in His word. The prosperity gospel is summed up in Mathew 6: 33
"But seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you"
Religion / Re: Deeper Life Has Never Changed Their Doctrines by jamael(m): 3:42am On Feb 25, 2018
I will advise any sincere believer to watch the video for your self.

In fact, the only time he mentioned doctrine was when he said, that they would be faithful to the doctrine in Romans 12:1-3 of not being conformed to this word.

It is not as a result of any movement. In fact, the man lambasted Linda when she said those in heaven dress like deeper life. Simply because, when of Lazarus and the rich man, where the bible states that if the living didn't hear the messages of the prophets, they wouldn't repent if one came back from the dead. (Luke 16:31)

Don't allow yourself to be misled.

God's grace.

Re: I WILL REMOVE SOME DEEPER LIFE DOCTRINES - KUMUYI

First, what is doctrine?
a belief or set of beliefs held and taught by a Church, political party, or other group.

Based on this, a church's doctrine should be based on the Bible.

When Kumuyi said he will change somethings he set up, it was the practices that he established with the aim that it would help the members of the church to be more like God, it was not on the doctrines of the bible. He clearly mentioned marriage committee --not seen in the Bible- (in the youtube video). (Which was actually preached about 5 years ago)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wf-fmJkbRwI

These are administrations, and manner of worship peculiar to a denomination. It is seen in the New testaments, where the seven churches in Asia had different methods of worshiping. Also, a careful look at the epistles show that the churches Paul wrote to had different peculiar practices from each other. In fact, Paul tried to tell the church in Corinth to change some of them. (1 Corinthians 11:16,18,19; 14:1; 16:1) Also, organized religion with reference to administration, organization of outreaches etc were not explicitly stated in the Bible.

It's just like saying that every pastor must have 12 apostles since Jesus had only 12 or that it is wrong to clap since there was no record of clapping hands by the apostles in the New Testament. They are not doctrines just practices peculiar to one denomination or the other that might be changed by the respective denominations depending on whether it is drawing them to God or away from him.

Men like John Calvin and John Wesley set up structures in their respective denominations as directed by God and it did not go contrary to the gospel of Christ. Calvinism and Methodist respectively. You can search out their practices, methods and administrations online. Led by the Spirit, but not lifted verbatim from the scriptures.

Finally, deeper life doctrines include: The Holy Bible (2 Timothy 2:16,17); The Godhead (Mathew 28:19,20); The Virgin Birth of Christ (Isaiah 7:14); Repentance (Hebrews 6:1-3); Restitution (James 4:17); Water Baptism (Mark 16:15,16); The Rapture ( 1 Corinthians 15:51-58) to mention but a few.

These are the things they believe in and also teach their members. They have never changed it and by God's grace never will.

I read newspapers and online version too. If one has been following the events since 2015, it is not hard to know whom money has been recovered from and how much is recovered. Majority of the recovery are done through court judgement (temporary and permanent forfeiture) and the rest are publicized like the Ikoyi recovery, subsidy from marketers, Diziani, etc..
It's like you don't understand what I am saying. When EFCC makes accusations, it goes like: "Patience Jonathan looted 45 million dollars. Every body begins to get exited. But when the claim victory, they say something like the title of this thread: N511 billion recovered. Now, I am simply asking, from whom?

Even the Ikoyi recovery that you mentioned had no tags.

Finally, I don't make speculations. 10 persons may have stolen 10 million each. If EFCC states that they recovered 20 million, can we confidently name any of the persons accused? No. In issues that affect about 180 million citizens, there should be no room for ambiguity.

These people are seriously playing on our intelligence.

What Nigerians need are:

1. Who did you recover the money from? We want names of individuals and their portfolios not just random figures

2. If they were public figures, what has been done to them. Have they been charged to court or prosecuted?

3. What has the money been used for?

For me, that's (No. 3) the most important question. Corrupt men took money that was meant for a purpose. If the so-called money is recovered, has it been used for the purpose it was originally meant for?

EFCC is a tool used to victimize corrupt members of the opposition.

Let 2019 do and come abeg.

It's the sad reality but it's really true.
The problem is that these children need attention from their parents but most parents don't give it to them. They are either to busy with work or fighting with themselves.
Reminds me of an incident that occurred 2 years ago during my SIWES program in the village. Because I had time, I spent it with those small children, and they adored it, simply because most of their parents never had time for them.

I saw an 11 year old boy whose family stay in our compound excitedly dry-humping a 6 year old girl who was playfully telling him to stop, in broad day light.

Me: Chiboy, what are you doing?
Chiboy: Broda, nothing
Me: I will deal with you oh, I saw what you and this girl were doing.
Chiboy: Broda, I didn't do anything. We were just playing
Me: Don't worry. I'll tell your mother.
Chiboy: (As soon as I said that, he began to beg) Broda please don't tell. She almost killed me when they told her before.

As I told the boy to kneel down, and questioned him, I was shocked to hear that almost all the children that I was friendly with engaged in such acts on a regular basis. The poor Chiboy began to tell me that he had done the act about 10 times in the corridor, how his friend taught him, how they do it naked and with clothes on and how even his younger brother, a 6 year old boy, engages is such acts. I caned the boy small and later talked to him.
I couldn't believe my ears. I thought that those in the villages were naive and innocent.

Child molestation is a cancer that is not only perpetuated by older ones. It can also involve a child with another child and can only be dealt with by proper care and attention. Not every smiling girl or boy is truly happy. Spend time with your kids and take nothing for granted.

Religion / Does Your Pastor Do Any Of These? by jamael(m): 9:14pm On Jan 25, 2018
The members of churches are expected to pray for their pastors. But in these last days, do our pastors really obey the Bible?

2 Corinthians 12:14,15: “Behold, the third time I am ready to come to you: for I seek not yours, but you: for the children ought not to lay up for the parents, but the parents for the children. And I will very gladly spend and be spent for you; though the more abundantly I love you, the less I be loved.”

1. Your pastor should make concerted efforts to visit you.
2. Your pastor should not seek your possessions, money, house etc. Instead, his focus should be on your overall welfare, spiritually, emotionally, physically and otherwise.
3. Your pastor should endeavor to lay up for you through prayers, manifestation of the work of the Spirit in your life and families and if he has, your material needs.
4. Your primary duty is not to lay up for him. You can do that willingly if led by God but not compulsory. You can also pray for him and give him.
5. Your pastor should be willing to gladly spend for you. As a child of God, God has place you as a sheep in his fold. He is the great shepherd. But he has his servants who can and should when necessary assist you.
6. Your pastor could be and should be willing to be spent in the work of God. It may take his time, energy and even resources, but it is the service of God.
7. Finally, even though it is good for you to reciprocate the love of God to your pastor and leaders, the fact that a member doesn’t do that should not make the pastor stop loving.
From this, we see that the “title”, if I may be permitted to use the word, pastor is not one that should be trivialized. Is your pastor truly a pastor? Or is he using you to make merchandise for his selfish purpose?

I would have said that experience is the best teacher simply because I have experienced it, and I have also seen people who were in sin who also experienced the same thing which is freedom. But that does not make for good argument and reasoning

I'll simply point out the prophesy in the Old testament (Original Jewish text from the Bible).

Let's start from the beginning:

In Genesis 3:15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel. This clearly shows that the provision of Jesus to die for our sins was not an after thought. It was declared right from when man sinned. Also, Jesus is referred to as the "seed of the woman" showing that the conception will be by God and not through natural means.
In Isaiah 7: 14, "...Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel"
In Isaiah 9: 6, "For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace." The Hebrew word for "is given" is nathan which means to give or to be used. This son is Jesus as "mighty God" and "The Prince of Peace" Jesus was born, He died and the governement will be upon His shoulder when he comes during his millennial reign.
In Micah 5:2 "But thou Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose going forth have been told from of old, from everlasting." The exact place where He will come from was also prophesied.

So many scriptures speak about his but the most explicit is
Isa 53:3-12

3 He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.

4 Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.

5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.

7 He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth.

8 He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken.

9 And he made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death; because he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth.

10 Yet it pleased the Lord to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in his hand.

11 He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities.

12 Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.
KJV

Finally, the scriptures in the book of Hebrews tell us that the offering of animals foreshadowed the offering of Christ.

Heb 9:13-28
13 The blood of goats and bulls and the ashes of a heifer sprinkled on those who are ceremonially unclean sanctify them so that they are outwardly clean.
14 How much more, then, will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself unblemished to God, cleanse our consciences from acts that lead to death, so that we may serve the living God!
15 For this reason Christ is the mediator of a new covenant, that those who are called may receive the promised eternal inheritance — now that he has died as a ransom to set them free from the sins committed under the first covenant.
16 In the case of a will, it is necessary to prove the death of the one who made it, 17 because a will is in force only when somebody has died; it never takes effect while the one who made it is living. 18 This is why even the first covenant was not put into effect without blood. 19 When Moses had proclaimed every commandment of the law to all the people, he took the blood of calves, together with water, scarlet wool and branches of hyssop, and sprinkled the scroll and all the people. 20 He said, "This is the blood of the covenant, which God has commanded you to keep."
21 In the same way, he sprinkled with the blood both the tabernacle and everything used in its ceremonies. 22 In fact, the law requires that nearly everything be cleansed with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness.

23 It was necessary, then, for the copies of the heavenly things to be purified with these sacrifices, but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these. 24 For Christ did not enter a man-made sanctuary that was only a copy of the true one; he entered heaven itself, now to appear for us in God's presence. 25 Nor did he enter heaven to offer himself again and again, the way the high priest enters the Most Holy Place every year with blood that is not his own. 26 Then Christ would have had to suffer many times since the creation of the world. But now he has appeared once for all at the end of the ages to do away with sin by the sacrifice of himself. 27 Just as man is destined to die once, and after that to face judgment, 28 so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many people; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him.

You're going too far...
Just Multiply the Upper numbers (as digits) with the number in the middle....ie 258 * 2 =516
Apply it to all of it
The others forms will be division.
Thanks man, I even started making some silly mistakes. Thanks once again.

Multiply each of the numbers on the left hand side by 3, then subtract 5 from the answer. It gives you the number on the right hand side:
2 * 3 = 6; 6-5 = 1.
16 * 3 = 48; 48-5 = 43.
27 * 3 = 81; 81-5 = 76.
40 * 3 = 120; 120-5 = 115.
Now do the same for each of them and then your teacher will be happy with you or the pupil.
