Awww, sweet memories.....2012 UCL finals, was still in sec school, Dad and my big cousins (man U fans) where having this heated argument as the boys where gloating and trash talking Chelsea....dad being the only Chelsea fan maintained his stance that the blues will win the match.

I still remember picking interest and also sympathising with my dad as those my cousins wouldn't let my old man be.

Fast forward to kickoff, I just saw the line up of both teams... So many blacks in the Chelsea team and I had a notebook (chemistry) that the coverpage had chelsea players on it. I just went to sit by my popsy, held his palm, He looked at my eyes and I smiled while rubbing my small palm in his ....then I just said the word...."Daddy! We ll win". His response portrayed fear...
"I di sure?"(are you sure?)... I smiled and said yes papa....

It was one hell of a match but I just had that confidence.....lol.. when the magic moment happened .....tears of joy streamed down my face as I watched my dad dancing .....He lifted and hugged me tightly ....that was one of the best memories I had of him. God bless and keep you NNa m...I love you with all I ve got.....Will continue to make you proud.
Lol. Similar thing. Same 2012, was in school preparing for WAEC exams. Chelsea were playing against Barcelona. When Torres scored that second goal, I really felt emotional and began to support Chelsea. Although I didn't watch the match, but we were following it on goal.com then. Some of my classmates jumped the fence to watch that match and were narrating the experience to us. Lampard throw-way face pass, Terry's red card, Penalty miss etc.

A great experience that I still carry with me.

Health / Re: 148 New Cases Of #COVID19; by jamael(m): 12:15am On May 06, 2020
As the numbers keep increasing everyday, it's definitely going to be more risky going out side.

We now have about 3,000 cases, meaning that the chances of getting the virus has greatly increased geometrically, as the 3,000 would have families, friends, relations, etc.

If care is not taken, I see our health care system being overrun in the coming weeks, especially as more doctors and health officials are getting infected

I thought there was no approved vaccine yet. If there isn't, who then are the vaccine manufactures that paid the House of Representatives?

If there would be a vaccine, would the citizens pay for it? Do we pay for current vaccines available for polio?

If we don't, why would they be bribed for it, seeing that the same Foreign bodies like WHO would most likely pay for the vaccine when it's available?

I smell lies all around your post.

From 10k to 500 notes?! Which year are you talking about exactly?

No lies bro. Maybe some stuff didn't add up in my narrative.

1. Like you pointed out, I don't recall the exact value of the coin I gave him, that's what I said around 10 kobo.

2. 500 note was in existence then, around 2004. That was even what made them notice that it was missing.

Funny scam when I was still a child.

Mine happened a long time ago. However, I still remember it crystal clear cuz it taught me some deep lessons.

I schooled in a religious school, back then in Sokoto, Mamman Barkeji Nursery and Primary School. In my Primary 3, I got first position for the first time and became the class prefect. Normally, girls started coming closer to me. I also reciprocated their kind gesture. There was this beautiful girl who came second that term. She was taller then most of us, had a pointed nose, and a very wonderful smile. I think her name was like Henuwell.

Naturally, I liked her. After school one day, a friend of mine, Musa, came to me and told me that she liked me and that she wanted to be my friend and would need some money. Mind you, I was about 7 years old then oh. Happily, I have him the little I has on me, about 10 kobo (not too sure about this since was around 6 or 7 then.).

The next day, during the morning assembly, he told me that she was very grateful and that she loved me for that. My head began to swell. He asked whether I had some more money for her that it would make her love me the more. Unfortunately, I didn't have any with me, but I promised him that I would get it for him the next day. My people, that was how I started stealing the small change from our children's purse that was kept in my parent's room. I stole the N 25 that was there and gave it to the boy. Everyday, I got one new love story or another from the girl about how she was thinking of me, how she loved me better than any other boy, etc through Musa. grin

On one Monday morning, nemesis decided to pursue and catch up with me. I went into the Children's purse and lo and behold, only N 500 note was left there. Without thinking twice, I took the money and kept it in my bag. When it was time for us to go, my dad told us to enter his vehicle so that he could pick up our neighbours and drop us all at school. I really don't know what happened, but when he came out of the room, he came out with an empty bag of Children's money and began to ask for the thief. All of us initially denied it. Then my mom joined him and began to beg us to open up. By that time, I was already shaking. That was how I confessed and got serious beatings from both my parents. I cried and cried and cried. It was really painful. After some time, my parents stopped and bundled me inside the car.

As soon as we got to school, they told the Headmaster and I went for the morning assembly. The first thing that Musa asked when he saw me was whether I came with the money. At that point, the pain I was feeling was more than my love for Henuwell and I told him to leave me alone. As soon as the assembly was dismissed, my class teacher called me to kneel down under the tree for stealing from my parents. I then told him that it was because of Musa and Henuwell.

When both of them came, Musa couldn't look at me. As the man was about to punish both of them, the girl shouted that she didn't know anything about it. That was when Musa confessed that he didn't even talk to the girl and that he was using the money I gave him for himself. You need extra beatings I received that morning. Musa was called a criminal, was terribly beaten and got seriously punished throughout the whole day. They even asked reported him to his parents.

To crown it all, about a week later, I learnt that Henuwell actually really loved me and wanted to be my good friend. embarassed

The next term, I left that school.

That was how I was scammed.
This stuff happened about 16 years ago, but funny enough, as I was typing this, I could still visualise Henuwell's face. wink

Edit: For those asking about the 10 kobo I gave Musa, like I said initially, I don't exactly remember the actual value, but I know it was the change I had on me which was a coin. grin

Also, N 500 note was in existence as at 2003/2004 cool

Religion / Re: What Does The Bible Say About Masturbation? by jamael(m): 8:05pm On Apr 12, 2020
Inteltower:

remember the passage where Christ taught about
the issue of lust ?
even when there is no physical actions between
the male and female.
Christ pointed out clearly that lusting (to have
carnal knowledge with someone) is a sin. and this
sin triggers adultery, fornication, rape and sexual
harassment.
How Masturbation is a Sin ?
in the act of masturbation there is only one
stimulus needed which lust.
when a man is stroking himself he can not
ejaculate without having a picture on his mind of
who his fucking. lust triggers masturbation. you
can never masturbate without being heavily
influenced by lust.
it's our human nature for instant gratification we
cut corners rather than follow the Godly way
don't mix masturbation with wet dreams.
the former is a deliberate act while the latter is an
unconscious activity which sometimes is caused
by a build of your sexual hormones that want to be
released just like women in their periods.
they are cases that are natural
lusting is abnormal (fallen nature)
masturbation as a product of it is there for a sin
when one masturbates he is lusting
so to you is it sin or not ?
sin starts with a motive not the act itself

God bless you 100 percent. That's the whole truth. Feed the Spirit so that it controls the flesh. Nothing more, nothing less.

Politics / Re: Nigeria Election : Full Text Of President Buhari's National Broadcast by jamael(m): 7:35am On Feb 22, 2019
Do not allow anyone to discourage you from the exercise of your rights as citizens and voters tomorrow.
Your presidential order to the military is already more than enough discouragement.

“To vote means that you believe in Nigeria and the excellent things the future holds for this nation and its people.
Baba, do you yourself actually believe in Nigeria? With the gross nepotism, abject and stark poverty, unrivaled security challenge and unchecked terrorism, does the nation still have a future with you at the helm of affairs?

Anyway, like someone said, that's a nice farewell speech. Safe trip back to Daura.

Politics / Re: INEC Is Such An Irresponsible Institution For Postponing The Election! by jamael(m): 5:35am On Feb 16, 2019
That's just the truth. Inec is irresponsible. Even in my LGA, the presiding officers where not even clear, those who didn't go for the training saw their names printed out, the material had not yet arrived, people were in disarray throughout the area.

Although, I feel that the implication of carrying out the election today would have had far reaching negative effect than the postponement.
