@Great1

Thanks for the update. I pray peace is returned to your town and that Justice be visited on the people performing all these deeds. If Uduaghan is as evil as the reports state, then may his days in power be short.

@Phreakabit

"Advise" is the verb whilst "Advice" is the noun. One doesn't give a piece of a verb.

Given the structure of your comment it is logical to assume you meant to use the latter.

People vent anger with bombs? Those mosque attendants don't pho.ck around!

A bomb, what happened with fighting, finding the person messing you about and putting a bullet in his head - just straight to bombing. Interesting times!

The Almajiri in the North and the Unemployed Thug in the South have both been failed by our military and political rulers.

I thank God no one was killed.

Are the names unisex in nature? For example, many Yoruba names are used for both male and female.

Eg: Biodun, Sola.

How many has he purchased?

If Boko Haram kills GEJ the cost to Nigeria will be higher than N5bn.

Assuming this report is true, I can only pray for proper accountability and that God keeps
us all safe (including GEJ)!

PoliticsRe: Biafra: Adekunle’s Wartime Interview With German Randolph Baumann, Of Stern Maga by JamesDoe: 1:12pm On Dec 10, 2011
@Onlytruth (or is it utter lies)

I really don't spend my day agonising over a person or an ethnic group. I do have better things to do.

Feel free to insult public figures but what I don't want to hear from your mouth are racial insults and ethnic slurs. You seem obsessed with Yorubas and this obsession is disconcerting and quite strange. It is a weird "philia" of some sort.

You spend your day calling those that defeated your army cowards, you then enlarge your commentary to cover an entire ethnic group. And yet you think you are on some sort of higher plane!

If Yorubas bother you that much and make you hide under your bed at night, hiding your manliness then don't post rubbish.

Just because a few people post things about the civil war doesn't give you the right to trash talk.

It would seem that instead of some Igbos to face the specific generals within the Nigerian armed forces that defeated Biafra you come onto an anonymous online forum to trash talk - how brave?

I have more respect for the young boy who threw "pure water" at OBJ than for this clown claiming to be some sort of "eze" on Nairaland! Dude, you are a PUNK!

Ghanaians now know about Yoruba's scheming, and treachery. Anyway, I wouldn't be surprised. Their antecedents precede them.
Leave a monkey with a pc and a working internet connection and voila: "PointB" is created.

That article is filled with grammatical errors. Did you write it?

How absurd that you had to go all the way to Ghana, to dig up a poorly written article by some faceless person.

Was the article written on the go (ie whilst fleeing)?

Seems PointB is omo-Ghana, that is bitter about the whole "Ghana must go" incident from the early 1980s!

Was that an armed robbery or a "repossession"? Abacha's family should be made to prove ownership of the items repossessed from them, after all there is no honour amongst thieves.

I hope his son fully recovers.
PoliticsRe: OPC Marches Through Lagos, armed with Guns and machetes by JamesDoe: 1:03am On Dec 09, 2011
How many soldiers are there on Nairaland, how many people have actually killed another man or seen another man die?

War is messy, evil and without laws.

Japan bombed Pearl Harbour (a military base) and the US nuked two cities.

Hannibal of Carthage marched on Rome but the Romans wiped Carthage off the map.

If a new civil war breaks out 99.9999% of Nairalanders will be refugees squealing and bleating.

It is better we put pressure on the National Assembly and GEJ than all this quasi-Militia gymnastics!

Lagos is Yoruba land, and Yorubas will defend Yorubaland, If politics fails then all other options are open!
PoliticsRe: Boko Haram Are Rebels Who Want Change-ribadu by JamesDoe: 5:51pm On Dec 08, 2011
Ribadu was my candidate in April, but he has to improve his oratory skills.

I worry about Northerners, they are the only zone that seems to understand power.

"The West won the world not by the superiority of its ideas, values or religion but rather by its superiority in applying organised violence". - Samuel Huntington.

Only the North and its elite seems to understand this, the other zones don't appear to!
BusinessRe: Youwin Updates by JamesDoe: 10:26am On Dec 08, 2011

No judgements being made.

The initial post was that cash gifts would be up to N1m for 1600 people. If you understood my post you will see that I allowed N5bn for cash gifts and another N5bn for advisors(including the expenses -food etc), leaving a N40bn unexplained difference.

Now if you read the posters response he added new information and increased the cash gift to N10m. So thanks for the info, but the answer has already been provided.
BusinessYouwin - N40bn Hole Unexplained by JamesDoe(op): 11:17pm On Dec 07, 2011
I understand the Youwin participants will get up to N1m each and there are around 1600 winners.

The scheme will run for 3 years. The media and fanfare said N50bn was the total cost. If so, then there must be more explaining to do.

The press said N50bn. How do you reconcile this.

Year 1 cash gift: 1600 x 1m= N1.6bn
Year 2 cash gift: 1600 x 1m = N1.6bn
Year 3 cash gift: 1600 x 1m= N1.6bn
TOTAL= N4.8bn
Advisors=N4.8bn (assumed for three years)
Cash gift and advisors = N9.6bn

Total per media announcement =N50bn
Less cash gift and advisors = (N9.6bn)
Unexplained difference = N40.4bn

I hope someone can help explain the difference.

PoliticsRe: Towards True Federalism: Middle Belt Ideology by JamesDoe: 1:14am On Dec 07, 2011
So if Nigeria was to disintegrate the Middle Belt will have to be strong to survive as many groups will lay claim to their territories. I think it is better for the Middle belt to redraw state lines in relative peaceful times now than attempt to do so at a not so opportune time.
PoliticsRe: Towards True Federalism: Middle Belt Ideology by JamesDoe: 12:18am On Dec 07, 2011
Do we have anybody from the Nupe ethnic group here?

I hear they are related to Yoruba somehow (share similar sounding words) but I would like to know better or have this notion dismissed.
