We need 2 new moderators who are passionate about Romance and Nairaland, and can dedicate sufficient time to remove inappropriate content, ban people who break the rules, and create threads on hot topics to ensure that the Romance section attracts more engagement.

Most importantly, the war between men and women on this section must end. Women need to feel safe to participate and share their views in this section without being harassed by men. And vice versa. This requires consistent and unyielding enforcement of the rules every day.

Ijaws have propagated the notion that Ijawness is based purely on ancestry and not language. How then can the stool of Opobo be said to be Ijaw when Jaja was clearly an Igboman. No matter the traditional rites done, you can never alter the DNA of an Igboman into an Ijaw and vice versa.

Alot of "Ijaws" today are actually Igbos because the Igbos were the readily available humans In the slave market as at then. The traditional practices that turned them from Igbos into Ijaws especially in Okrika is simply tradional and unscientific in nature, as no amount of tradition can displace the biological composition of the different races.

And going by ancestry again, a lot of "Ijaws" are actually people from different parts of Nigeria and west Africa because there is also a notion that Ijaw women are the owners of children they bore. I know persons in Kalabari especially whose paternity are traced to other ethnicities in Nigeria and west Africa at large but bear Kalabari names and claim to be native of Kalabari communities, which by extension are Ijaw, simply because of their maternity. So is the Ijaw ancestry now a feature of any parent?

Upon serving my ban, I deliberately refused to log back into the forum, given you and your moderators appear to have totally lost control of your creation. Today, I wanted to deactivate my handle and noticed that isn't possible.

Nairaland isn't what it used to be and may never be, because you've chosen to be such a coward in wheilding the big stick against those who violate the same rules you set for the forum. I have contributed in no small measure to the discussion here, with numerous personally written articles which I published nowhere else but here. All I requested was the application of your rules in equal measure across board. You have totally failed in this responsibility and I sincerely doubt you plan to do any better. If you can't enforce your own rules, then leave the field open to members to deal with the stench of their own farts.

Whatever it is, enable those of us who desire to leave the forum to do so in peace as anything otherwise is equivalent holding us hostage. Let the dogs you have created by your aloofness have the forum. I and a couple other persons are NO LONGER INTERESTED.

I do believe the same Peter Obi was a great governor esp considering the fact that he tried his best for the people of Anambra state!
If he didn't perform well,he wouldn't be walking the streets of Anambra without a security detail but other former governors in that state needed soldiers to enter the state!

He may not have done everything within those 8 years but he did enough to win the appraisal of even his most vocal critics in Anambra state to a point that the last election results in Anambra state were overwhelming and an explicit evidence of his popularity!
Even Tinubu who was touted to have developed Lagos state could not even win his own adopted state let alone the state he claimed to have come from!

If the democratic Presidential aspirant comes to campaign in a state say New York and says to the New Yorkers to vote for him in Federal and vote for Republicans in state elections, wouldn't that be scandalous? Is it because Nigerians have no party value system that you condone the excesses of Peter Obi.

Hence what was on offer was the presidency which Obi knew was within his grasp!

Some people may sight Otti as reference but people are forgetting that Otti has been popular and contesting...he was already well known in abia state before he joined LP!

Even if Obi intended to throw the Labour woman under the bus, must he say it in public?. Tinubu made alliances across board, but never for once did he undermine his party at any level in public. But Obi came to PH and made mockery of Beatrice Itubo. He undermined the chances of the woman and Labour party before the contest (she even came 3rd ahead of Magnus Abe). That alone portrayed obi as being desperate and untrustworthy.

Desperate and untrustworthy people cannot be relied on for anything. I don't know what people see in Obi, he has no tangible legacy in Anambra one can point to as a reason for support.

He's my parents last child, he's 19 now. I feel he was born gay because right from when he was a child, he acts like a woman. I am familiar with that judgement. Ozuboko is different from the other areas. Port Harcourt is owned basically by two ethnic groups in Rivers. Ikwere and Okrika. A smaller portion of the city is owned by other ethnic groups.

When they called the chief of Abuloma to testify, he informed the judges that when they migrated from Okrika, the people of Rebisi(Ikwerre) in that case, being the Elekahia, Oginigba and Woji gave then land to settle. That some Okrikans left after sometime but they remained because they had cordial relationship with the Rebisi. Also, that the land in dispute was owned by the Ikwerres, for which the supreme court justices awarded judgement in favour of the Ikwerre and also asked them to pay fine of N500 to the Ikwerres (the case was instituted in 1930s, but judgment was passed in 1981).

All that area consisting of Amadi Ama, Fimie, Ozuboko, Azuabie are the properties of the Ikwerres. The occupants are customary tenants. They are welcomed to stay but cannot claim ownership.

In the case of Port Harcourt Town, ie, The Port and Railways area and Town itself, there is no doubt who owns it. I will give you a snapshot of what you should investigate as a scholar.
