Fun fact: The actual first university of medical science was also established by the Yoruba in Ondo state. That was 2 years before PAMO in River state. So Yoruba are still correct.

The hospital, located at Iyun Street, off Funsho William Avenue, was officially handed over to the state government during the ceremony.

Expressing optimism about the impact of the secondary health facility and general hospital, Governor Sanwo-Olu emphasized that the initiatives would contribute to reducing maternal mortality rates.

During the event, the governor recapped the previous commissionings, including an international conference center for Lagos State University (LASU) under the education pillar, the transformation of Babs Animashaun Road into a dual-carriage road with bridges, and the inauguration of a Youth Development Center with various amenities, aligning with youth engagement and gender equality.

Governor Sanwo-Olu affirmed the commitment of his administration to meaningful development, stating, "This is also an opportunity for me to announce another bold initiative of the Lagos State Government to establish a University of Medical Science before the end of this year."

Explaining the rationale behind the medical university, the governor emphasized its role in addressing brain drain and the challenges associated with the "Japa" syndrome, outlining the strategic approach to confront healthcare sector issues.

And in all occasions speaks less of himself and more of the Governor including spending a very brief time in his speeches allowing the sitting Governor to have more of the day.

The Governor openly said recently that the ex governor is not giving him any pressure, rather that he is the one trying to get the attention of the ex governor most of the times to get his contributions on issues. Which according to him the ex governor most times tells him “you are the governor “.

Even in Rivers State there are more Efik-Ibibios than Ijaw. The only part of Port Harcourt you encounter Ijaws is the Borokiri and Amadi/Abuloma area which is a tiny unit compared with landmass and population of the whole city.

The Riverine areas of Rivers State is sparsely populated because they have little or no habitable land for proper human livability. Its all made up of swamps, mangrove forest and very little land. They have very small communities made up of few hundred persons.

Infact, if they had initially accepted the Ijaw tag they now bear, most of them would have been merged together to form an LGA.

The reason for creation of many LGAs was because they considered themselves as distinct ethnicities and not one people. Else you can comfortably fit in Bonny, Opobo and Andoni into 1LGA, Okrika Ogu/Bolo into 1LGA. Asari Toru/Akuku Toru into 1 LGA.

I created this account to I don't know, maybe vent or something.

So I met this girl a while ago, even though she has been putting me off (she later adduced it to being in a relationship then) but we got really close and started dating about a year ago.

She turned out to be my dream girl, I fell deeper than I intended and for the first time in a long while considered marriage. She on the other hand, loved me, I could tell. Before the 27 decamped to APC, the other 4 lawmakers had already mpeached Amaewhule and made Edison the speaker of the house. The governor recognised Edison as speaker that same day. It was an illegality because the 4 members of the house cannot form a quorum required by law to impeach the speaker of the House.

And from the day Edison was proclaimed speaker, he began coordinating the activities of the factional members and he had the ears of the governor, who repeatedly interfaced with him in the capacity of speaker, which was wrong as the governor blatantly refused to acknowledge his emergence as an illegality.

Now the Federal High Court still affirmed same Edison as speaker, even when they know he failed to reach a quorum and shouldn't have been speaker.

In the eyes of the law, Edison was never a speaker because the circumstances surrounding his emergency is soaked in illegality. He shouldn't parade himself as an ex-speaker. He never was.

This is like the fifth time this thing is happening to me. Anytime I eat semo, I begin to feel dizzy. I'm not really a semo person like that but each time I crave it with a particular soup and eat it, this happens.

I made bitter leaf soup and ate eba with it twice, nothing happened.
