Politics / Re: Roger Johnson: What I Hate About Corruption In Africa And Nigeria Specifically by jarkbauer: 6:24am On Apr 30, 2019
Rossikk:
Who is HE to talk about corruption in Nigeria??

He should ask his fellow British colonisers what they did with all the billions of pounds they made from 1897 to 1960, exporting our cocoa, rubber, tin, palm oil, groundnuts, coal, iron ore, timber, aluminium, etc etc, such that at independence in 1960 we were an underdeveloped bush with mass illiteracy, no major power station, no expressways, no major industry, and near zero infrastructure. In fact as late as the 1950s, our national football team travelled to England on a tour and played BAREFOOT because the colonial regime had starved them of basic funds for everything, and they'd never seen football boots...

The audacity of these people....

Forget the messenger listen to the message

You think that is a way forward abi? You will end up adding to the problem because about 30 states will remain in darkness for the next 10 years including the oil rich region that think they have the money.

Lmao. You are funny. But that's the truth. All these generate power in Taraba send to osogbo then send to Enugu will not work
Politics / Re: How Will You Rate Fashola's Performance As Minister Of Power? by jarkbauer: 4:11pm On Apr 28, 2019
If you have met Fashola you will rate very high. The guy is very cerebral. However I am dissapointed in the performance of the power ministry. The truth is no power minister will perform until we are ready to do the needful as a nation , restructure. National grid must be unbundled. Let each state or region do this thing by themselves

This is not admissible in court even if it is true because electronic transmission of results is not part of the electoral law.

Abuse me from now to tomorrow emotions dont win case. Electoral act is the law guiding everything about elections. Electronic transmission of result is not a law in Nigeria. For those Atiku supporters attacking me your abuse wont help the cameroonian.

The stock market never really crashes. What people call a stock market crash is actually an opportunity to buy at very low prices and make huge profits within a very short time. You must have been reading about bonanza here.

As long as bubu is in power. More money to be lost

Both men and women are promiscuous. You guys should stop castigating women. Truth is if you dont marry a woman a virgin. You dont really know what she has done in the past. What matters really her behaviour in your house.

Nigeria has never floated his currency before.
Between 2013 to 2015 Nigeria devalued her currency twice. From 158/$ to 185 $ then to 197/$. Bubu met it at 197 and refused to devalue when it was obvious we could not support the naira at that rate.

A serious govt will remove subsidy on petrol. Put tax on 150% tax on cars above 1.6L. Even Camry will become a luxury car.

You are in a country where you can get documents from the black market. That is why you can say this. İf there are strong processes, you can't even register such a car. İmagine where you have to produce the documents to police and police have access to details of all vehicles that were brought legally into the country and you bring yours from the back yard. How will you explain this?

That's what I expect a serious govt to do. We need to automate all our processes. You are not suppose to be able to register a car without paying everything payable. When you go to Mvaa to get number plates one tunde will just ask for your customs paper. There is no place to check with your chassis number whether you've paid customs duty. They wanted to start the process in 2016 but they backtracked. We are not serious as a nation.

You can't stop import by banning them. İt will increase smuggling. All you need to do is just put a luxury tax on any vehicle with Engine capacity greater than 1.6 litre or cost more than N8m. İf the engine cap is 2L (or above) or more than N8m make the Luxury tax 150%. İf you know that the car is a basic necessity for you, you don't need costly car. So this tax will be targeting the rich.

Go to the border towns in Ogun state you will see expensive cars all smuggled inside waiting for the right time to move. If you like make duty 200% it wont affect shishi.
