seunmsg: The president should sign the amended electoral law immediately. There is no point holding back because of a particular clause that can be challenged later at the court. We need the new law to improve our electioneering process and restore credibility and transparency to our election. The bill was sent to him to look at; item by item. It's either he declines the bill because of one item or sign the whole bill. The best is to return the bill to NASS so that contentious clause will be expunged. Those that put it there knew it was going to be a snag. |

Even their son that was president went there and removed clock and calendar in Aso Rock, that make him to forget how time flies and the urgency in lifting his state. bolaayenimo: By Temidayo Akinsuyi
Aggrieved leaders in the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) are set to launch a new political party ahead of the 2023 general elections, Daily Independent exclusively gathered.
The arrowhead of the movement, who is a former two-term governor and currently a member of the National Assembly in a text message to Daily Independent, said “the formation of the new political party is already at advanced stage”.
He also said some active members of the two political parties have been giving “clandestine backing and covert support” to the yet to be launched political party
Leaders of the yet-to-be formed party said they are expecting an influx of APC and PDP members to join the party when it is officially launched.
Another source, who is also part of the movement, said the leaders of the movement are already in talks with other anti-APC, PDP, who are desirous of providing a credible alternative to Nigeria in 2023 such as the National Consultative Front (NCFront), Rescue Nigeria Project (RNP) and other civil society organisations.
The NCFront is led by Ghali Umar Na’Abba, a former Speaker of the House of Representatives; Dr. Olu Agunloye, a former Minister of Power and Steel; Ralph Nwosu, National Chairman of Africa Democratic Congress (ADC) and Dr. Yunusa Tanko, former presidential candidate of the National Conscience Party (NCP).
Leaders of the RNM include former Chairman of Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof. Attahiru Jega; political economist, Prof. Pat Utomi; former governor of Kwara State, Ahmed Abdulfatai; and former governor of Cross River State, Donald Duke.
One of the leaders, who asked not to be named, said it is clear that Nigerians are fed up with both the APC and PDP and will gladly embrace the new political party especially given the calibre of people coming on board.
When asked if the time frame is not too short to form a new political party with just one year and two months to the date of the presidential election, he said, “You just wait and watch. It is people that make up a political party. All the machineries are in place already and we are confident that the party we are putting together will be registered by INEC.
“Nigerians voted the PDP out in 2015 when the APC presented themselves as credible alternative. But now, it has been discovered that the APC is even worse than the PDP. They are birds of a feather and politicians without ideology who do not have the interests of Nigeria at heart. Just wait and see what happens in the two political parties in days to come, especially during their primaries”, he said.
Also speaking, Senator Rufai Hanga, pioneer national chairman of the defunct Congress for Progressive Change (CPC), who recently dumped the APC, said the new political party to be formed will be stronger than the APC when it was first launched in 2013.
He said, “God forbid for Nigeria to end up between APC and PDP. PDP and APC are drifting, sinking by the day. A third force will soon emerge which will be stronger than APC when it first launched in 2013.
“You know APC was very strong when it was formed and that was why it was able to dislodge PDP in the 2015 presidential election. The third force that will emerge now will be much stronger than the APC when it came. The party will participate in this forthcoming 2023 election and it will clean sweep the whole polity. I can assure you of this”.
However, when contacted, Yunusa Tanko, who is the Head, Public Affairs Bureau of NCFront, said nobody has contacted them for any alignment.
“Nobody has contacted us for any alignment as at today. We are not into any alliance with any other group as at now. We are going on with our own programme”, he said. https://independent.ng/2023-election-aggrieved-apc-pdp-leaders-set-to-launch-new-party/ Useless new party |

Like I said, it is disappointing that he had to pay influencers to talk about the song. I have seen handles that have no business talking about music, coming to promote that song.
The only thing this proves is that his fanbase is useless after all. You people cannot promote your fave's song, but you will come and be bragging about deals that you are still useless in.
Big fanbase big fanbase, but not one sold out brand. Simple question, you're reciting Psalm 119. Whether he paid influencers, it's none of your business. Even established musicians pay influencers, why can't beginners? Coca Cola is still advertising, paying influencers. What is the work of BBN HMs signed by companies, even established ones to influence for them? You lot always have opinions on people hustle when you cannot manage your own. I've listened to the song today for the first time and the song is good for a beginner. The fan Base question: If Laycon had to visit Ozoemena and solicited that Superions help stream his songs, despite the huge size of ICONS. Even Beyonce still pays Mr. Knight, a music promoter, despite the size of Beehive and Jay-Z fans. So why won't Whitemoney? I think you have not said what's problem. WMG or the influencer? Critics The herds of critics are fans of ex HMs who are into music; and they know themselves. The important thing is to finish any project because any abandoned project has its own cost implications. You don't expect billions of tax payers money to go down the drain because someone, who is privileged to be a president is too lazy to act on the project. On the CNG, it goes to show the level of education/wisdom its hierarchy posses, you just gave the IPOB voice with the balance of supporters tilting a bit more to that end without even knowing it. CNG think Ezeife is helpless in this situation. I think if care is not taken, it may come to a point of boycott. TheNewsBeat21: After petitions addressed to the Nigeria police force (NPF), the family of the late 12-year-old Dowen College student, Sylvester Oromoni Jnr, has hired the firm of a foremost human rights lawyer and activist, Femi Falana, to prosecute the case against the institution over the unfortunate death of their son.
The lawyer has, therefore, written to the office of Lagos State’s chief coroner, requesting an inquest into the circumstances leading to the death of his client’s child.
Newslead had earlier on Monday reported the insistence of the deceased’s father, Sylvester Oromoni Snr, that his son was bullied to death, even as he lamented the attitude of the school management to the development.
Lawyer’s letter
The letter, which was dated December 6, 2021 and signed by Taiwo Olawale, a copy of which was obtained by this newspaper, was specifically addressed to the chief coroner, high court of Lagos State.
Entitled; “Request for Inquest into the Tragic Death of Sylvester Oromoni killed at Dowen College, Lekki, Lagos,” noted that based on the briefings by the family, the late student died as a result of injuries allegedly inflicted on him by his seniors at the school.”
The letter reads in part: “Given the needless death of Sylvester Oromoni, we are compelled to request you to use your good offices to cause a coroner’s inquest to be conducted into the cause of death of this young and promising boy and make appropriate recommendations pursuant to Section 15 of the Lagos State Coroner’s Law 2007 that states that an inquest shall hold whenever a coroner is informed that the death of a deceased person within his coroner district is as a result of a death in a violent, unnatural or suspicious situation.
“We hereby request your lordship to conduct an inquest into the circumstance surrounding this tragic death and we are confident that your lordship will accede to our request with utmost urgency.”

Politics › Re: Former Governor & His Boys, Not Efcc, Are After Obiano! by JaroMan: 5:34pm On Dec 06, 2021 |
Danniscott: A FORMER GOVERNOR & HIS BOYS, NOT EFCC, ARE AFTER OBIANO!
Any close watcher of the Governor of Anambra State, Chief Willie Obiano's style of governance and the devilish envy it has drawn from a former governor & his boys for nearly eight years would have predicted these lifeless insinuations flying around as connecting Obiano and the anti-graft agency, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). Any time Governor Obiano’s profile peaks; and Anambra State's image rates high in good news, the former governor’s personal envy runs riots. Days would not go before e-rats and pay-per-attack writers sponsored by this sworn political opponent would fling concocted tale all over the place to deflate the governor's public reward. Anambra people and in deed, all well-meaning Nigerians should have seen it coming. The massive victory of the All-Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in the Anambra State Gubernatorial election 2021 that produced and promises another sterling leadership for the state re-ignited a new Anambra hope but regrettably seem to have murdered sleep for the hardened minds of a certain former governor & co who cannot live to see anything in Anambra state that essentially shoots up Obiano's rating. In foreboding tones, community clusters of Anambra people currently discuss that the recent triumph of APGA has hurt him far deeper than the electoral loss suffered by his own party. On the other hand, the All-Progressives Congress (APC) candidate has so far woefully lost in all kangaroo attempts at using the courts to steal power in Anambra State. But the vicarious mourner on APC's candidate’s behalf is the vicious former governor. Anambra people know his antics so well that before the choreographed publication of the incoherent news of EFCC and the placement of Obiano on their imaginary Watchlist, it was almost certain that the bruised would seek Obiano’s pound of rising popularity flesh else how. It was however uncertain how and from where the counter offensive would emanate.
Suddenly there was this unnecessary hoopla over perceived mistakes in an affidavit in support filled out by the winner of the election, Prof Chukwuma Soludo. It is only a man that was born with the heart of Lucifer that can live with his own loss but never with the thought of that loss actually meaning a win for another. As people made fun of the glitch in the INEC form, the Lucifers of Anambra politics sponsored an orchestrated media frenzy over a letter purportedly placing Governor Obiano on the Watchlist of the EFCC. There was no doubt about those whose handiwork set out to create the mischief and embarrass a sitting Governor. Metaphorically speaking, in their furious chase of the Israelites, Pharaoh's men were totally blind to the gaping Red Sea. Similarly, the Pharaohs of Anambra politics did not actually know how they in pursuit of Obiano, dragged the hallowed name of the EFCC into their unintelligent scheme. Everybody except the envious Pharaohs of Anambra politics knows that prosecution cannot be meted to a sitting governor prior first, to a formal notification from the EFCC of any constitutional infringements; and that public pronouncement or open communication of guilt of an office holder serving a term firmly protected by the constitution is a serious infraction. But the former governor and his boys owned up that crime, inferring publicly that they are steeped in that criminal hand-holding with EFCC. In their blind pursuit of Obiano they dragged the name of EFCC in the mud, weakening the anti-graft agency's moral strength in this matter concerning Anambra. In the mind of every Anambra person, this bad move has already created a public mind-picture of a compromised EFCC. The angry Pharaoh and his boys have erred big time by publishing a picture of the EFCC picking its teeth after lunch with them.
The fabricated report, "Why EFCC is After Obiano" is a trending headline that was crafted to publicly undo Obiano's character but in tonality that headline roars something different. It admits that it was crafted at that lunch table. Otherwise, how on earth could a faceless third-party issue to the public with such clinical certainty the private workplans on the table of EFCC without earning a corresponding public rebuke from the anti-graft agency? It was no brainer interpreting who the face-less author of the purported infraction list is. The outlined list in the fake report is a regurgitation of a tired and retired liturgy. Here are there claims and our answers to them:
1. 11.3 billion Paris Refund squandered. To this ndi Anambra are damagingly asking: Which actually was squandered? Is it 11.5 billion or 17 billion because these two figures have been so tossed and bandied about in the social media? In their haste to imply squander, Pharaoh & company forgot to indicate if the humongous amount was in Naira or other currency.
2. Over 75 billion left by his predecessor squandered. To this ndi Anambra are damagingly asking again: Is this not like the exhumation of a body long buried? But to make the corpse look new, the concocted EFCC checklist described it as "over 75billion" to make it look infinite, attempting a stretching of the infiniteness of alleged Obiano's rascality. Again, is the humongous 75 billion in Naira or other currencies?
3. 56 million Dollars left by his predecessor squandered. To this ndi Anambra ask: Before now the 56million Dollars was recorded as a component of the phantom 75BN. May be this has now been made to stand alone in order to make the itemized list of Obiano’s alleged infractions longer in the eye of his darling public.
4. Borrowed and squandered over 111.48 million Dollars from China and India.
To this ndi Anambra ask: Before a state can access a foreign loan, it must first get the approvals of the State House of Assembly, the Federal Ministry of Finance and the Debt Management Office. But in their haste to imply squander, Pharaoh and his co-travelers failed to see these details. Or is it to be understood that Obiano jetted to China, connecting India on a spree of private, personal borrowing?
5. Owing contractors over 200 billion Dollars
To this, ndi Anambra are still shouting hehehehe e e! Can a zero or two be removed from this twelve-digit figure so that the lie can at least be sellable? How much is Nigeria's internal debt as a whole not to mention Anambra’s?
6. Collected back from contractors’ money paid to them by Obi for some projects like the three arms zone, new Govt. House, Chief Judge’s house, etc
To this ndi Anambra ask: Was it by consensus or force? And the Contractors have not rioted or gone to court?
7. 1.2 billion Naira Security votes per month
To this Anambra people muse: It looks as if Pharaoh & his boys have been obsessed with this number for eight years.
8. Unaccounted IGR stolen
To this ndi Anambra admonish: Until the checklist says how much, please spare our peace and spare yourselves of beer-parlour gossip…
9. Question on what happened to gratuities of retirees since 2017.
To this ndi Anambra say: Answers await the questions. Or should answers come before the questions?
10. To give account of some of the houses he purchased all over the world, example being the castle at 10 Ruxton rd, off Bourdillion Street, Ikoyi.
To this Anambra people simply heave a sigh saying "too petty for Pharaoh. "An allegation of global crime is citing a phantom local proof; why not cite one, just one foreign evidence!
11. Anambra International Cargo and Passenger Airport as "white elephant project."
To this Anambra people say if they prefer it as a "black elephant project", so be it. We like it. And are thankful to Obiano for the elephant, its colour being of little relevance!
Ndi Anambra long delivered the verdict by giving Obiano victory over his traducers in three consecutive elections since 2017. Obiano has nothing to worry about since records of his stewardship to ndi Anambra are not hidden nor can be denied under frenzied fabrications by unforgiving opponents and his legacies cannot be blotted.

MANDIPUTIN: *North Doesn't Need Your Deceitful Kneeling, Begging For 2023 Presidency, Northern Groups Reply Ex-Anambra Governor, Ezeife
*The CNG described it as nothing but deception
The Coalition of Northern Groups (CNG) has reacted to a recent comment made by a former Governor of Anambra State, Dr Chukwuemeka Ezeife, that the South-East is prepared to kneel or bow before every ethnic group to clinch the 2023 presidency.
A statement by CNG's Spokesperson, Abdul-Azeez Suleiman, said the Igbo have by their conduct, denied themselves the opportunity to be trusted with power in the near future. "The bitter truth is that no matter how low the Igbo are willing to go or how long they are willing to keep their knees on the ground, it will be unreasonable to expect other Nigerian tribes, not least the North, to risk entrusting the presidency in them. "It is said that once bitten, twice shy and the current northern thinking is beyond the repeated deceptions such as this one by the Igbo which at every turn, results in tragedy. "We see the recent belated desperation by the Igbo as nothing but an afterthought that is downright unacceptable. It is deceptive for them to make such overtures after having encouraged and supported Nnamdi Kanu (leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra - IPOB) and the atrocities committed against other Nigerians, particularly northerners by his IPOB.
"If the Igbo must prostrate to anyone, they should prostrate to Kanu as the North has come of age and shall not be deceived or fooled any longer," Suleiman said.
Speaking at the United for Better Nigeria Initiative National Convention in Abuja on Saturday, Ezeife noted that one of the ways for a Southeasterner to become Nigeria's President 2023 was for the region to swallow its pride and start begging other regions for the presidential seat.
“So I found Hausa, Yoruba, Igbo and other groups in this place talking about the need for federal character. If you do it that way, there will be unity, if there is fairness, equity, justice, you will have unity and progress,” he said.
"In the absence of those, you see where we are now. It is not a matter of - to give us president, we don’t give, you have to work for it, the Igbo does not prostrate.
“The Igbo man does not kneel down but this time, we are prepared to kneel down to every part of Nigeria, every group, every ethnic group in Nigeria. We are prepared to even prostrate because we believe in this country.”
http://saharareporters.com/2021/12/05/north-doesnt-need-your-deceitful-kneeling-begging-2023-presidency-northern-groups-reply The CNG are known for radical views and this one is not different. Dr Ezeife is a Harverd trained political scientist and he served Nigeria to the level of permanent Secretary. He was the first gov of Anambra state and represented AD in OBJ govt as SSA on political matters. So he has seen it all. If he used those words to bring home how the Pro Nigeria Igbos want other Nigerians to help them prove the leftist Igbos wrong, the least CNG should is make jest of it. Also, Ezeife was addressing the who Nigeria, not the north west where CNG is based, but it's laughable how CNG have taken it personal. Let's not forget, that it's only Nnamdi Kanu the govt is holding, not IPOB. So there's a tendency that another crusader may emerge and continue speaking. If you condemn Nnamdi Kanu release and condemn olive branch by Igbo leaders, then you're actually being arrogant and it goes before a fall. Time shall tell. |

Moferere: In all these 2023 games, what is the fate of our South Eastern people? Will they get referendum, Biafra or a Presidential candidate? In all these, South East will get the president or there won't be elections in the East. |

seunmsg: Whatever challenges Tinubu is facing is not the sole reason why Hanga left APC. He left for so many reasons best known to him. Again, you need to also appreciate the fact that there are lots of die hard Tinubu loyalist in the north who will swim or sink with him. Those are the ones I will rather bother myself about. The likes of Ganduje, Masari, Zulum, Wamako etc. Loyalists? For intro, I'm a PDP man. I've held leadership positions in PDP in my state and I was an LGA RO in the just concluded Anambra election. So I've known these men You mentioned before they joined APC, having worked for Sule Lamido, the former gov of Jigawa state. It is interest that brought them together. When was the last time you heard from these men on national politics? They're back to base. Once you some politicians like Orji Kalu and Rochas start talking down on a their party, there is problem. Reason is: those two are errand boys of the big men in the north. They don't have patience once they get signal. Tinubu has been an enigma in Nigeria politics and a reference point. But you see the task at hand? It is beyond him. I've been saying it. The power brokers will even prefer Osibanjo to Tinubu because, it's not always strategic to enthrone someone with 100% home support. That's what Nigeria is suffering in Buhari now. So those ones are not loyalists but they union was borne out of the circumstances at that time. |

nairavsdollars: I reason with you. They deliberately put Buni there and keeps extending his tenure for a purpose They should ask themselves: why will Orji Kalu, and APC senator and chief whip for that matter, holding meeting with PDP guys. That's a great pointer if you're into politics and politicking |

Dsalvo: Mumu, who is crying? You think I am an IPOBian loser like you? I believe, same as Tinubu, that no obstacle is insurmountable.
That does not stop me highlighting the actions of Buhari only you hateful IPOBians can support because you are dishonarable people too.
You lot always turn mere mortals and fallible men into gods. That is how you pushed Kanu into thinking he is some messiah and now he is caged like a bird plus held incommunicado. Buni is now your new 'superman' ba?
Let us keep watching. One sure thing time has proven, again and again, is that you IPOBians are premature ejaculators who always get too excited to then be unable to finish the job. What led to IPOB matter now? Thought we're talking about how Tinubu has been sent on errand with salt and those that sent him invited rain maker? Please carry you diarrhea mouth go away |

Dsalvo: Lol. That's why they will suck at politics eternally like the Vitalis or Livinus chap yapping above like a deranged chihuahua thinking he is mocking Yorubas.
Tinubu understands power and all its facets of application far better than the IBB, OBJ, Atiku and Buharis of the world ever will. You're beginning to talk too much. I will report your account |

omenkaLives: Exactly. No one has weathered the kind of political storm Tinubu has in his political career, and he does so in utter silence.
Imagine what he went through under pdp in the hands of Obj. Gentleman didn't throw in the towel, but rather silently rebuilt the opposition, routing the ruling party in an entire region, and ultimately clinching the most prized political asset for his party- the presidency.
Tinubu is a legend in his own right, but I don't expect "those people" to acknowledge that. Ogbonnaya Onuh has also weathered storms. Chris Ngige has weathered storms. Yea, they are not the subject of this discussion but let's not forget them. |

seunmsg: Nobody is in doubt about the hurdles before Tinubu as far as APC is concerned. The challenges are there and we are aware. The lack of challenges in not what makes a man but his ability to stand strong and overcome the challenges.
The most important point in the outburst of the former Senator is the fact that Tinubu is still standing and overcoming his traducers. Since he is a Tinubu man, why didn't he stay back with Tinubu so they can scale these hurdles and enjoy later? The man has seen that there is not light in the tunnel so he backed out. |
