Mashgash: https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2021/dec/16/ohio-police-ask-for-help-finding-thieves-who-stole-entire-bridge?CMP=fb_gu&utm_medium=Social&utm_source=Facebook#Echobox=1639662630 What happens in places like U.S. and UK is the innovation that comes with crime. The ingenuity that comes with these vices is what help these countries to develop faster. E.g. some guys will just sit down and decide to steal in Whitehouse. They will invest everything in it. And they will research thoroughly. Their aim is to make history because eventually, they will caught and sentenced, not killed like it's done here. But it will help government to improve security in Whitehouse. Now ask yourself: why would someone think of stealing a whole bridge if not to spite the govt that "hey! You're not doing enough in security". I know Ohio. A predominantly white state and very modest. In America, people think blacks are more criminals than white. Hell no! Blacks are noisy and leaves traces of blood in their crimes, but whites are silent operators. That is Ohio for you. Go to Cincinnati and see crimes but no one cares because lives are not lost. If Nigerians can start being adventurous in crime rather than devilish, the government will sit up. Like, shut down power supply in Aso Rock using ICT. Try stealing govt cars. Anyone with that govt plate number, steal and dump it somewhere. Emphasis on sirens and jumbo cars will reduce. Go to all these expensive schools, gain access to them and put a call across to prominent figures whose children are there telling them how porous the school security is. Steal in police stations. If you're reading this and you want to do it, please don't shed any blood. Just do it because you want to play prank. It's call crime activism |

Politics › Re: Save Nigeria Movement Accuses Obasanjo Of Planning To Divide Nigeria by JaroMan: 8:44pm On Dec 16, 2021 |
aminulive: POLITICSNIGERIA.COM
A group known as the Save Nigeria Movement has accused former President Olusegun Obasanjo of planning to divide the country.
In a statement sent to POLITICS NIGERIA on Thursday, the group cautioned the former leader to thread with caution and rethink his intentions.
The statement read;
"The attention of the Save Nigeria Movement has been drawn to media reports indicating former president Olusegun Obasanjo's decision to embark on another round of divisive consultations conversant with his character. Media reports further indicate Obasanjo plans to co-opt past heads of state, traditional rulers , religious leaders and some respected elderstatesmen among which is a former federal commisioner pa Edwin Clark into the massive drive to divide the country. All these antics are in a bid to discredit president Buhari administration efforts having surpassed former president Obasanjo's two epochs in office both as military and civilian head of state."
"Former president Olusegun Obasanjo's antecedents are scary if allowed to fester. The Save Nigeria Movement is deeply concerned that Obasanjo would choose to inflame passions and raise tensions at this critical point in time when the federal government is consolidating on security. Former President Olusegun is urged to reconsider his personal agenda as it can only jeopardise national security. To this end, the Movement is suspicious of the former president and calls all Nigerians to speak in one voice against him."
"The Save Nigeria Movement is inclined to caution the former president to have a rethink if his personal intentions will not promote peace and unity in the country. This appeal is also a word of caution that should Obasanjo be bent on heating the polity and raising tensions, Nigerans will know who to hold responsible and demand for the law to take its full course."
"As a citizens and true patriots, we expect nothing but selfless service to the nation and moral support from people like former president Olusegun Obasanjo and not the other way round shamelessly fanning the embers of disunity. Former president Olusegun Obasanjo is urged to once again remind himself of the pledges he made at each moment this country gave him the opportunity to serve the nation. We believe good conscience will prevail for the right thing to be done."
"Former president Olusegun Obasanjo has no moral right to be dissatisfied with the modest achievements of president Buhari administration especially when he could not do better when Nigerians gave him the opportunity twice as military and civilian head of state."
"Indeed, president Buhari has offended many people in the mold of Obasanjo by not joining the league of those who must own a presidential library, an oil well or a multinational farm while in office. Looks like former president Obasanjo truly missed the infamous "third term" where he would have consolidated his full grip on the nation's resources. This is the point of departure between Former President Obasanjo, his cohorts and incubent President Buhari."
"Former President Obasanjo is further called upon to help the Yoruba nation heal by providing immediate and satisfactory answers to the gruesome murder of late sage chief Bola Ige; one of Yoruba's most admired sons. Perhaps, that is what all Yoruba nation and indeed Nigerians want at this moment. How about the gruesome political assassination of Harry Marshal and many others? Former President Olusegun Obasanjo should be magnanimous enough to come clear on these unresolved puzzles around political killings and corrupt enrichment while in office as president than resort to self pontification."
"We will not talk about the infamous kidnap of a sitting governor in the south east under the inglorious watch of the seasoned Otta farmer. Nigerians do not want those memories. Obasanjo should seize the moment to re-write history with his words and public conduct."
"At least under president Buhari administration, no such high profile killings are in vogue. No such fanfare over launching of presidential libraries or other bussiness concerns of sort is ongoing unlike under former president Olusegun Obasanjo's regime. Should we begin to review how Obasanjo muzzled Lagos State, the economic nerve center, the heart of Yoruba nation of statutory funds in flagrant disregard for court orders? Which true Yoruba Son worthy of his name would be proud of Obasanjo? Nigerians have had enough of whatever salvage value is left of Mr Obasanjo."
"Nigerians are proud of what president Buhari is doing to rescue the nation from the grip of people like Obasanjo who designated the country as a free zone for corruption for more than a decade. Nigerians from all walks of life are proud of the modest achievements recorded under the Buhari administration. From road infrastructure to massive social welfare packages and a historic recapture of territories hitherto held by insurgents and bandits."
"At least president Buhari has not mobilized soldiers to demolish communities and kill scores of innocent Nigerians like Obasanjo did in Odi, Bayelsa and Zakibiam, in Benue states respectively during Obasanjo's reign as president."
"Nigerians are indeed asking when former president Obasanjo would be called upon to account for his many sins against his Yoruba kinsmen and Nigerians. This may truly be the moment of judgement. President Buhari administration in all sincerity has admitted to challenges and taken steps to secure the nation, all the government needs now is wise counsel and moral support as opposed to acts that could jeorpardise existing efforts in peace and security of the country."
"Let us rise up and hold our leaders to standards that will ensure the legacies of peace and unity. This is our responsibility. It is in fulfilling this obligation that the Save Nigeria Movement is calling on former president Olusegun Obasanjo to respect himself and status and desist from acts capable of reversing the progress so far made in country. The whole world is watching and will join us in solidarity to hold anyone who would be responsible for acts that breach national security."

Quote me anywhere: Terrorism can never grow in any southern part of Nigeria because we attach value to human life. The north and south are miles apart. Is act of terrorism = fearless? South is actually the fearless zone. Don't mix up things |

SmartPolician: One thing I like northerners for is that they are fearless. That's probably because they don't attach importance to human life. No offense intended.
Over the past decade, we have seen these people being massacred in their numbers, villages wiped out, dreams shattered, tens of thousands of people displaced, people thrown into abject penury, rocketing figures of out-of-school children, and women raped just to get food for their children.
And it took them 10 years to speak up and challenge the status quo. Well, the good thing is that they finally woke up from their deep slumber. May God help them because they have ruled the country the most, making it the world's poverty capital. Fearless? Then you don't know them. What happens in north is: if their big men are not pissed, no one is pissed. This protest is sponsored by the big men in the north. Target: Southern President. Watch out the next scope. Of course you read about Sen Sani Ahmed challenging people to paste Tinubu posters. These are schemes |

Politics › Re: Southwest Is The Face Of Nigeria & The Most Powerful Region In Nigeria by JaroMan: 6:44am On Dec 16, 2021 |
Movic1: Southwest is the homeland and cultural region of the Yoruba people in Nigeria. SW has an estimated GDP of about N67 trillion naira( about $305 billion US dollars), more than half of the GDP of the nation. By estimates, the Southwest region was the third largest economy in the continent of Africa in 2014! This must be a shock or a pleasant surprise to many people!
Highlights
SW is the gateway to Nigeria
High human resources, Natural resources capital formation and technology.
Tourist attraction (Most visited region by foreigners and locals )
Real estate
Entertainment
Ease of doing business
Affordability
Best Economy
Education
Best Healthcare
Best Churches and Mosque
Quality of Life
Peaceful
ETC.
The list is endless can't list it all, there's no other region in Nigeria with an energy that can compete with Southwest, the most developed part of Nigeria . All aforementioned made SW the most vibrant region in Nigeria. Southwest is the only region that has all it takes to be self determine. Please Lagos, not South West. Please be guided. Thank you |

joyandfaith: It is south that is keeping north together. North has been using blood of southerners for economic and political advantage. Gej presidency angered them, they released jihadists jto frustrate him. They are now loose cannon, uncontrollable. They would stop until south get sense. Violence will worse in the coming years especially if a southerner emerges as president in 2023. I see uprisings like Arab type in the North. I stayed well I Kano. Do you know Hezbollah? That is the Lebanese terror group? They have strong base in Kano. So many terror groups in Africa and middle East have strong base in Kano. They don't hide it o.o. The violence in the north are not reported at all, especially Kano. North will one day have inter terrorist fight because the rate the seek recognition is becoming daring. |
Politics › Re: Why Killings In The North With Get WORSE by JaroMan(op): 9:17pm On Dec 14, 2021 |
TooMuchStuff: In addition to your points.... The Muslim North are neck deep in Sunni Muslim ideology. Hate and bloody violence is most cherished.
In their wicked world, a crime committed is viewed from the position of WHO commits it as against what the LAW says on the CRIME. When a southerner is involved in murder in the North the law would definitely take its course but if it's a Muslim to Muslim, it's MAY be watered down with little or no punishment You're correct. Those that commit violent crimes in the north are well know. But the authorities preserve them for the purpose of violence. And one thing about the violence in the north is; it can come from any angle. There are intra religious(Sunni v Shiite) there are inter religious(Islam v Christian). Intra tribe and inter tribe. These fights happen almost on daily basis. But why these fights persist is the question of : who are involved? |

Scammers everywhere. Northerners are just forming group to come down south to scam us. Imagine the name. |
Politics › Why Killings In The North With Get WORSE by JaroMan(op): 8:35pm On Dec 14, 2021 |
Every society harvest what the place the values on. I stayed in the north and these were my observation. 1. Religion: The north place premium value on religion. And most of their teachers are foreigners. Libya, Egypt, Pakistan etc. The messages of these teachers are not diluted to suit the Nigeria society. So the adherents over do to impress the foreign teachers. Just like when a Israeli Rabbi is explaining Tora to you. A Nigeria Jewish Rabbi can't say things the way they are.
2. Politics: During voters registration, secondary and primary schools are closed so that students and pupils will participate. So the north place more value on politics than education and this informs their approach to politics. They can do anything for power. But because they neglecte the very thing (education) that would guide a power holder, he will becomes rudderless with power. Are there educated North? Very well and brilliant too. But emphasis is not on education.
3. Extreme love for money: The Southerners are saints when it comes to corruption compared to north. They are very very corrupt and because of power, they have EFCC and get selective treatment. They think it's helpful. When corrupt money enters the hand of politicians, he invests in two places: Religion and politics. These two breed the bandits and terrorists we see today.
4. Tribe: North takes issue of tribe very serious. During my stay in Keffi-Hausa(didn't know if I got the name correctly), there are Fulani there who migrated from Niger, but by the name of the area, you will know it's predominantly Hausa. The Hausas warned us never to register these Fulanis. But because of these few F ulanis, the state REC will always call our AO to make sure those people are registered. According to my friend Sani, those Fulani are killers but there's nothing they can do since, according to him, even the governor knows they're there. If you've not been to north, you may think it's all about Fulani and Hausa. In fact in my church, one Sunday we had cultural Sunday, where all the tribes would do song presentation. When it was the turn of the north, for more than 30 minutes, they couldn't agree on who to represent them. I was shocked, the even our pastor, a Taraba man could not prevail on them.
So these and more are why I think violence in the north is just starting. |
