We will see how this will pan out because it is Buhari's interest that will suffer the most if APC implodes through his divisive actions in the Party over the years.

Stop crying mr man. I've shouting it here that with Buni as a governor and chairman of APC, it is impossible for convention to legitimately take place. Once his signature is on any paper, that's doom. It was all planned. APC wasn't commissioned to be in power but for north to come to power. They have achieved that, it's time for PDP to take their rightful place.
So it's not Buhari, it's the king makers.

So who will joined me?

HOW BUHARI AND HIS MEN ARE CALCULATING AGAINST OHANEZE OVER NNAMDI KANU

Movement for peaceful change (MPC)

The best person to effectively represent Nnamdi Kanu's interest is an intelligent and experienced lawyer who has a clear picture of the direction of his case. Nnamdi Kanu doesn’t have that caliber of lawyer in the person of Barrister Ejiofor.

The absence of a competent lawyer as leader of Nnamdi Kanu’s legal team led to the situation where Ohaneze is playing such a prominent role in a criminal case pending in court. Can you imagine that? This is a criminal trial for goodness sake. The Government wants to use the criminal justice to achieve its objective. That is quite evident, and I will show you how I came to that conclusion. On the other hand, either by design or because of the absence of a good defense lawyer, Ohaneze is using political approach to achieve its desired outcome.

So, you can see the gap in the strategies. Government (the custodian of politics) is using the courts while Ohaneze is using politics to resolve the Kanu challenge. And when Ohaneze met President Buhari and presented its political option, President Buhari quickly went back to his court option. That was why the President wrongly claimed that the matter is before the courts and that he might lack the power to intervene. That position is really wrong because the President, through his Attorney General, has all the powers to terminate the prosecution and have the charges dismissed. But because the President had calculated that the judicial option was more in his interest, he pretended to lack the ability to abort the judicial option in preference for the political option proposed by Ohaneze.

To show that the President has entrenched interest in the judicial option, two key figures in his government have come out recently to suggest that the President lacks the power to get Nnamdi Kanu released without completing the trial. Festus Keyamo repeated the pretentious position that the President lacks the power to end the trial. And today, Malami, the Attorney General, repeated the same position by suggesting that discussions of release of Nnamdi Kanu are premature because Nnamdi Kanu is still standing trial. In other words, Malami wants the trial to be completed before pardon could be discussed. He wants Nnamdi Kanu to be convicted and sentenced to death or life before he could be granted pardon and then released. Ironically, Malami can end trial with only two paragraphs of written statement entering nolli prosecue in the case.

The funny thing is that my Ohaneze brothers may think they are smart, and that they are making progress over Nnamdi Kanu’s case, when, in fact, they are complicating matters. Ohaneze’s moves may actually turn out against Nnamdi Kanu. They are pleading for forgiveness, which is an admission that Nnamdi Kanu committed the offences. The leader of Ohaneze delegation was quoted to be assuring Buhari that: “I know how to control him. If you release him to me, I will get him to stop saying those things he was saying”. In other words, he admitted that Nnamdi Kanu was inciting violence and preaching ethnic hatred, but that he would stop him from continuing to commit those offences. The Nigerian Government is yet to prove in court that it was indeed Nnamdi Kanu that was making those broadcasts. But our Ohaneze elders already admitted that fact, thus providing for the state the evidence they may actually not have at trial.

If Nnamdi Kanu had a good lawyer, he would have made some critical advances in the case and would have advised Ohaneze to sit back and watch for the time being. Instead, because there is no good lawyer for Nnamdi Kanu, Ohaneze is so confused. The Ohaneze members don’t know how to approach this case. They come in as observers of the trial (and get denied entry to the courtroom – they monitor the trial from the corridors and the parking lot) and they came as delegates to the President to ask for amnesty, but end up admitting to the offences charged. It is clear that Ohaneze is at a loss. The President is far more calculated and is ahead of them in strategy and thinking. President will listen to the advice of his Attorney General before deciding how to respond to the Ohaneze people. And the Attorney General will tell the President that the discussions with Ohaneze is premature, that he should wait until Kanu is convicted.

At the present pace of progress in the trial, the trial will not be completed in the next three years. But also, the trial can be sped up if Nnamdi pleads guilty to some of the charges, by way of a plea-bargain. In other words, the Government will ask Nnamdi to plead guilty to some of the charges in order for the government to drop the other charges and he will be sentenced to time already served in detention. The guilty plea will effectively disqualify Nnamdi Kanu from holding a political office in the future, unless pardoned. So, this is quite complicated and too advanced for Nnamdi Kanu’s current lead counsel. He is actually a lame duck and unable to even comprehend what is happening.

My advice to the Igbos is this: Do not underestimate the President and his men. They seem to have a game plan. The Nigerian agents that brought Nnamdi Kanu to Nigeria could have killed him in Kenya if that was what they wanted. But no! They had a plan and their plan is intended to play out through the court. Be careful and smart as you deal with the Government. They are not as stupid as they appear clumsy. They have a game plan to permanently suppress this Biafran agitation using Nnamdi Kanu’s case.

I read engineering and I didn't do second degree but I'm beginning to think that Nigeria lawyers are the dumbest in the world.
From Malami, to Keyamo and now this Ugwuonye.
My one cent:
Ohaneze didn't meet president on Nnamdi Kanu. Mbazulike Amaechi and his group did. They even have one name like that. Yes, they maybe members of Ohaneze but they didn't go there in the name of Ohaneze.
Secondary, those that went to beg are not joined in Kanu case and therefore, their opinion will never have effect in the case. It could only raise emotions. So if they say "we are sorry for what Kanu did"; it doesn't mean Kanu did that. They're only trying warm their way into the heart of the president. The onus of proof rests solely on the FG and so far, they have been trying to establish these proof including employing state and nonstate actors to wreck terror in the East and hang it on the neck of IPOB(remember Nnamdi is not IPOB, he is just a member).
Emeka Ugwuonye used to be IPOB lawyer but they sacked him and with this opinion, he would've been a disaster for IPOB: don't forget he was arrested for fraud on many occasions.
So I'm not surprised.

AWKA – The public presentation of the award winning book titled: “Okuko Sakata Usa Nkata Ekpudo ya” by the author, Nze U Nze on Friday at Tansian University Umunya, turned into a day of tribute as the author recalled how N1million Obi, then governor of Anambra State give him and others inspired them to strive for the sky.

Nze, a lecturer in the Department of Mass Communication of the university was among graduates of Anambra State origin who graduated in first class and were given N1 million each by Obi, then governor of the state in a show of appreciation.

At the public presentation attended by Obi, who was Vice Presidential Candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, (PDP) in the 2019 national election, Nze described him as a “true, tried and tasted change agent.”

Nze, recalled that the N1 million said to be a grant which Obi gave to all the first class graduates of which he was a beneficiary, helped many of them to realize their dreams of furthering their education.

He said: “I can assure you that many of us are teaching in different higher institutions across the country and some gainfully employed by good organizations and corporate bodies. We are all fulfilled.

“You did not give money to individuals, but as the Governor, everybody now appreciates the fact that you used the resources of the state to work for the state and to build the Human Resources.”

Speaking at the event, Obi recalled how he visited a hospital and was greeted by a nurse who happily introduced herself as a former student of Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, which Obi massively supported the upgrade and enabled its School of Nursing, Laboratory Technology and Midwifery to gain accreditation.

“Likewise,” Obi continued, “one medical doctor I met recently also said he was able to graduate from Chukwuemeka-Odumegwu University after my administration secured accreditation of the University’s Teaching Hospital”.

Obi said that the two encounters, as well as the book presentation by a lecturer that benefitted from the state’s recognition of their achievements were what give him joy and fulfillment and not attending birthday or related epicurean parties, where people display their limited perspective of life by displaying affluence.

He said he was particularly delighted that Mr. Nze wrote in Igbo language and that his work won the First Prize in the 2021 Nigeria National Award for Creative Writing in Indigenous Language.

Obi took the opportunity to lament the increasing neglect of Igbo language to the point that even a bricklayer in the village now speaks English to his children.

He said it was because of the ugly situation that he supported the “ Otu Subakwa Igbo” group, offered automatic employment to Igbo Language graduates and gave out all manners of scholarships on Igbo Language.

Obi said that the situation was more alarming today and actually calls for the meeting of stakeholders to come up with drastic measures to stem the ugly tide.

The students of the school expressed appreciation to Obi for the N100 million he gave to their school that enabled them tar the entrance road to the school and for the school bus and other amenities they benefitted under Obi’s administration#

Lagos state governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has said that he and his government will never walk alone, IgbereTV reports.

He stated this on his Instagram page in the evening hours of Thursday 2nd December 2021 after students of the Lagos State University LASU pledged to join his peace walk.

On Tuesday, November 30, the governor announced plans to stage a peace walk as part of the healing process for residents of the state after the October 20, 2020, Lekki tollgate shooting. Governor Sanwo-Olu called on entertainers and activists like Falz, Mr Macaroni, Dele Farotimi, and others to join his peace walk. Many of those he invited have turned down the invitation. Some of them on their social media pages wrote ''You will walk alone''.

Yesterday, the students of LASU declared their support for the peace walk, stating that they are ready to walk with the governor.

Though it was a fatal error on the side of the governor elect,I don't think it's sufficient reason to invalidate the mandate his people gave him.

I am more interested in the legitimacy when in power, if the process leading to emergence as party candidate is chaotic and not transparent,the elected candidate gets into power but lacks legitimacy.

This is why Direct Primaries are the best. It saves the time and resources wasted on litigations arising from the process party candidates emerge.
The President should sign the new electoral bill that recommended Direct Primaries.

What is happening in kano is a power tussle between Ganduje and shekarau of which Ganduje have more resources to push shekarau just like he did to kwankaso

Resource don't always win case. At times, interest determines who gets upper hand.
Ganduje is with unpopular lineup in APC and the popular lineup wants Kano in their camp. You Kano is diamond of Nigeria politics. So resources may not give ganduje the winning.
