seunmsg:
We know their intention already and we have a plan in place to deal with them.
My dear, there’s no plan to stop South East because if you want to stop them, you will stop yourself. That’s why Tinubu camp has remained silent on South East while Atiku camp is begging. Go and read The PDP report on 2023 presidential elections. The team chaired by gov of Bauchi said that only two zones should be assuaged: South East and North East.
In APC, the hierarchy have finally had their way on consensus candidate. Tinubu camp have kicked against it, but there’s nothing they can do. Because if the East doesn’t vote in 2023, which can easily be achieved through IPOB sit-at-home, it will be a serious problem.
The plan is to either give Amaechi the ticket or Ogbonnaya Onuh.
Igbos will never vote a northerner. It will never happen in 2023. The worst is, no election.
But just be assured that none of Tinubu or Osibanjo shall be on the ticket.
PoliticsPeter Obi: When? by JaroMan(op): 3:48pm On Jan 30, 2022
When is Mr. Peter Obi going declare his interest in presidency of Nigeria?
I tell you, his popularity both offline and online is immense. The good thing I found out about the man Peter is that you don’t hoodwink him into taking unplanned steps. Because some people would’ve declared going by how people are pulling him into the mix.
Until he takes his time, I wish him the very best.

Soludo talks too much this days.

This was how that useless Mannique was giving us promises and running his mouth like someone with epilepsy & diarrhea
He should start learning how to keep quiet.
Those that voted Buhari did out of tribal supremacy. Buhari never said much. He didn’t even come for debate.
What Soludo is doing is normal. It is called Optics. The expectations are high, so he doesn’t want to dampen the morale of people who believe so much in him. He wants to add fuel in the fire so that those that have anything against him will not have space to fertilize.
You know he measured in Political Economics. In this field of economics, you use politics to achieve economic gains. So he will make use of politics and media to convince and convict the people to his side because he’s coming with reforms that will disrupt even people’s livelihood.
But if the are convinced he means, he will succeed

These clashes will continue until after election. The Jandor of a guy is serious and he got the backing of influential people in APC and PDP. The plan is: even if the won't take away Lagos from Tinubu, at least they must shake his grip.
So these clashes are politically motivated.

The Clamor for PDP to zone their presidential ticket to SE is hitting all camp real hard, esp Atiku's camp.

PDP have a very tough choice to make, They know they can't ignore SE this time around.
It's also hitting APC hard too with Amaechi turning out to the beneficiary. I said it here that Igbo presidency in 2023 is sure. The question is: is it South East Igbo or South South Igbo.
PoliticsI Am An Igbo Man; I Have No Problem With Asiwaju. But... by JaroMan(op): 11:38am On Jan 23, 2022
This rider has become imperative because a lot of Tinubu supporters have this notion that Igbos hate Tinubu. Hell No!!! I for one don't hate him. Joe Igbokwe don't hate him, Dr Akabueze don't hate him. And I'm sure that a good number of Igbos don't hate him.
Ahmed Tinubu is bigger than me in all ramifications. Yes.
He is an institution based on how disciplined he has been that made him be a reference point in 2023 politics.
He was intentional and patient.
He is dogged and meticulous.
He is consistent and focus. These qualities marked him out.
But, does Tinubu supporters expect him to be all loved? It is water that doesn't have enemy:
But I dislike rainy season.
Why it appears Igbos don't like Tinubu has to do with how Igbos see someone who wants to Lord over all.
Tinubu was senator
Tinubu was governor
Tinubu wife is senator
Tinubu 'mother' was Iya Oloja
Tinubu daughter is Iya Oloja
Tinubu son has a state in LASG
Tinubu cousin is Osun governor
To many business interests
This is what Igbos detest.
But do I have problems with it? God forbid!
How can I cry more than the bereaved?
Since majority of Lagosians nay Yorubas are at ease with him, who am I?
Has it benefited Yorubas? Yes, in great measure.
If Yorubas have left Lagos in the hands of real Lagosians, the rest of the SW would've suffered worst.
The turn by turn sharing of governance of Lagos between 5 SW states, without owners of Lagos is where Yorubas hit the bullseye and Tinubu is the protagonist.
So why won't Yorubas be happy?
But... I am a Nigerian and want the best for Nigeria.
Imagine how happy Nigerians are because Super Eagles are doing well. You see how we praise the coach, because according to many, he got his selection right.
This simply means that if we get the right man in govt, Nigerians will be happy.
Is Tinubu the right man? Emphatically No.
Reason: he doesn't have that background of a good leader- everything about him is questionable.
This is same problem Nigeria faced with Buhari, but people waved it aside. Today what is happening?
A president that could not be careful enough to straighten his paper qualifications cannot do the simplest thing as a president. So he doesn't have files?
No one has come out to defend Tinubu on salient grey areas of his journey in life. Are we waiting when he will enter, so that one old man from Ijesha will appear in court with one dusty paper to prove us he knows Tinubu more than us?
That is where I have issues with him. His ambition is Germaine and he is the only Southerner that will be in Aso Rock, and the north will mind their business.

However he ought to have been reaching out to other parts of the country to get the support of power brokers that can give him widespread support.
Those that reach out loudly are not actually the contenders. Or haven't you noticed?
How many people did Yaradua reach out to? Peter Odili was doing all the reach outs and doling out money to the north, exactly what Tinubu is doing now, but he didn't even contest. Rivers money finished, yet he couldn't instal his successor in Rivers.
Peter Obi started reaching out before anybody. And I will start showing receipts.

PoliticsRe: What Did PDP Do To Deserve The Loyalty Of Igbos? By Fredrick Nwabufo by JaroMan: 6:43pm On Jan 21, 2022
Esseite:
There is no sympathy for the PDP..

Did you really expect massive decamp to APC in 2015, when there was a Jonathan from the southern region?

Did you really expect massive decamp despite Buhari's poor performance?

If APC had performed well in its seven years, it would have made massive inroad into the SE with a clean slate election in 2023, it's unfortunate the reverse is the case as the SE sees it as "we may not have been wrong initially".. while others including some SE persons may have may have come to a conclusion the SE was right all along.

Why play the guilty card on the SE with the biased article like the APC did wonders while pushing a narrative on rewarding persons whom were part and parcel the reason for the terrible economic situation. If they could not help the situation while being in power and extremely close to power, what new thing does one expect ?
Don't mind him. They are always quick to exaggerated non issue when it involves Igbo

Don't be surprised to see Benue going to APC.Those are unpredictable lots.Niger State governor has backed Tinubu already.Kogi's margin maybe inconsequential or d governor even backs Tinubu if he gets reassurances.
Turnout in Katsina/Bauchi maynot be that substantial because there is no Buhari they would rig the elections for;even if it turnout is substantial the margin of victory maynot be that substantial for either candidate in 2023.
Your other assertions are also up for debate.
One factor you can't rule out is religion.
A Muslim South with a Muslim north is risky.
A Muslim South with a Christian north is risky.
These are entrenched sentiments that must not be wished away.
The 2nd term governors can't be trusted especially those that came in through Buhari. Except the assurance are Germaine, I don't see Tinubu beating any northerner

PoliticsRe: Why Tinubu Nomination Will Give The PDP A Presidential Choice Dilemma. by JaroMan: 5:00pm On Jan 20, 2022
doctokwus:
PDP's nomination
The PDP is controlled by it's state governors, particularly the financial war chest of governor Nyesom Wike is tending towards nominating a Northerner,as it's presidential candidate. This will pave a way for Wike or any of the outgoing 2 term Southern governors to be the party's vice presidential candidate.
The most likely Northern candidates are Abubakar Atiku, Governor Tambuwal of Sokoto State or the Bauchi State governor who Wike seems to have tacitly lent his support to.
Each of these candidates,Atiku of whom I think is the strongest of them all, will leave PDP clutching at straws,if APC goes ahead to nominate a Southern candidate, specifically a Bola Tinubu,or even an Osinbajo,in my humble opinion.
TBC..
Who told you Wike controls PDP? Wike can't even control South South PDP. Is he more influential than Peter Odili? But we know how it ended.
If the retired Generals decide where power goes, nobody will even consult Wike if Rivers money is to be used.
PoliticsRe: Why Tinubu Nomination Will Give The PDP A Presidential Choice Dilemma. by JaroMan: 4:51pm On Jan 20, 2022
doctokwus:
The arithmetic of a Tinubu/North vs Atiku/South candidacy
Contrary to some other opinion, despite the handicaps a Tinubu candidacy may present, surprisingly the Arithmetic seems to favor him (assuming he wins the primaries) than any other candidate.
Lagos is sewn up for him because the voting population that would be mobilised to vote that day are the commoners and some chunk of the middle class.Majority of Southwestern votes too, despite party affiliation.
Since elections started becoming relatively credible in Nigeria, the SouthEast has been shown to historical have a penchant for not turning up on election day,to be made worse if no southeasterner is on any of the ballots. So whatever the tally there,it won't make much difference to the overall margin or the 25% spread, who ever wins here.
Same, but to a lesser extent applies to the South South.A PDP candidate may win here, but the Lagos margin alone may wipe out whatever gain the PDP secures here.
TBC
If APC gives Tinubu the ticket(which I doubt), and PDP gives to north (which I also doubt), PDP will win fair and square.
The north is prepared for a slip in South. They are mobilizing seriously and if the South fails to agree on SE, it will happen.
SE might not vote; yes. South South will go to PDP especially with Udom or Okowa as VP. Wike can't be VP. He doesn't have that mien. OBJ made that mistake with Atiku, no one wants to repeat it.
Apart from Nasarawa and Kwara in NC, APC will struggle there.
NW will vote a northern candidate. It's sacrosanct. Kebbi, Jigawa, Kaduna, Sokoto, Zamfara and 40% of Kano will give PDP victory there.
NE will ostracize anyone that works against their chance to be president.
So a closer observer will tell you this.

PoliticsRe: Why Do A Lot Of Nigerians Of Other Ethnic Groups Reject Igbo Presidency? by JaroMan: 8:23pm On Jan 16, 2022
Onyiiobi7735:
Hmmm! That's a question I can't answer properly, but all I know is this,we Igbos don't know how to play national politics well. Moreover we are not even united in one accord on the issue.Ordinary Ohanaeze Ndigbo presidency, and we were already tearing ourselves apart, forming two opposing factions in the sociocultural group.
If Biafra should come,is that how the nation would be ruled?
Enugu man against Anambra man,Anambra against Abia,Abia against Imo.
But one thing is sure,if Biafra should come, Ebonyi would be heavily marginalised because other Igbo subgroups see them as second class.
I doubt your identity but if true, learn this;
1. After the war, an Igbo man became VP, speaker of HoR. Despite the suspicion at that time, they got these posts.
2. In 1993, they were prominent in SDP and NRC. Vice to Tofa, while Nzeribe was very strong in SDP.
3. In 1999, Alex Ekwueme formed PDP. If not annulment of June 12, he would've won that ticket fair and square because while those you think know politics, were busy with AD and APP, Ekwueme played national politics, yet lost.
In same 1999, Ogbonnaya Onuh won APP ticket against all odds.
So Igbos were prominent in north based APP and also nationally spread PDP. Yet they lost out.
4. In 2003, APGA came up, Igbos voted overwhelmingly for APGA, yet they rigged the election. Yet they said we played tribal politics, forgetting that APP and AD won majority in north and all SW respectively.
So in all these, Igbos have always been with the party at the until 2015.
I always think that all you kids started following politics in 2015. How painful it will be discussing politics with y'all.
Ohaneze election was Superb and Amb Obiozor is the chairman. Same can't be said of ACF who divided into ACF and NEF. Or haven't you noticed the drag for space for the two bodies? I guess you're blind.
Afenifere has Renewal and other factions. You're blind to see it.
Like I said, I strongly doubt your identity and I hope I'm wrong. But if I'm right, shame shall be your lot.

PoliticsOrji Kalu V Ahmed Tinubu by JaroMan(op): 6:02pm On Jan 13, 2022
In football matches, there's a player normally regarded as a 'spoiler'. They will don't score goal but will never allow the best play on the opponent side to score.
'Spoilers' play well when best players failed to score or settle in games. Spoilers are not always regular starters. They are only available when the coach wants to thwart the best player's game.
In APC presidential race, the best player is Tinubu but the spoiler is Orji Kalu.
I want us to watch how Orji Kalu will outwit Tinubu.
But what did Tinubu do to Orji Kalu?
Orji Kalu believes that Tinubu masterminded his going to prison.
Is it true? Time shall tell.
Let's keep a close watch on them
PoliticsRe: Anambra 2022 Governorship Transition Committee full List by JaroMan: 5:47pm On Jan 13, 2022
The list is impressive and it's made up of people that can contribute to the development of the state.
Delta state has not owned Pat Utomi. But SE has continued to show him respect.
Ezekwesili is a workaholic and will make sure every 'i' and 't' are dotted and crossed.
Alex Otti is the one Abia state will look up to as they make a paradigm shift.
I saw Prof Osita Ogbu: you have to work with these people to know how resourceful they are. Ogbu with Ezekwesili are good in development economy. They were together in OBJ cabinet.
I saw Chinwe Okoli, not forgetting Dr Ezeilo.
The most significant thing here is that he assembled Igbos without boundaries.
Abia
Delta
Ebonyi
Rivers
Imo
Enugu
Anambra are all represented
