mmanwuijele:People don't know that Igbo Leaders have given Buhari and FG an escape route. The case is a national embarrassment and worse is: same Buhari tried such thing with Umaru Dikko and failed. The government is jumping at it while pretending to dragging feet. |
trutharena:Stale. Try harder. |
PrinceOfLagos:I didn't take it serious my dear until our Minister for defense to France and made the speech. OBJ, GEJ won't take IPOB serious the way this govt is serious about them. Go and read that speech and get what I'm saying. Or how do you reconcile the comparisons of South East with virtually every state on the IGR and VAT and not education? Why are mainstream media particular about these areas of comparative advantage against South East? Think we'll dear. |
I've been reading all manner of fabrication, cut and join reports by mainstream media on different sectors of Nigeria. One will be curious to ask: to what end? What does these fabricators tend to gain? Simple: THE NIGERIA STATE IS TRYING TO DEMARKET SOUTH EAST, IN CASE IF ANY FOREIGN POWER WANTS TO BACK SOUTH EAST IN THE EVENT OF SECESSION STRUGGLE. THEY WANT TO PAINT A PICTURE OF ECONOMICALLY NONVIABLE REGION. Apart from the above, how can you explain that a zone doing great few years ago suddenly started dying; yet reality on ground still contradicts the recent reports. I've been to the north. I've been to the south west and South South. And I'm from South East. But in all honesty, Kano, Lagos, Oyo, Ogun, Kaduna and Rivers are rich states. Lagos is no body's mate. But you see the rest of the states, Anambra and Abia top them in economic activities. This is a fact we all know until IPOB started pushing for secession. Why I don't like explaining in details, these indices is because, 85% of non-Igbos have not visited Igbo land. While 75% of Igbos have VISITED other regions. So I leave naysayers to wallow in their ignorance. Continue digesting junks from paid newspapers. |
walefresh3:Grammar Check. Lag behind not lack behind. |
Deborah98:Which one is "we Igbos"? So Orji Kalu is the person Igbos will support to show they love themselves? If I slap you ehnn. |
Uzomarrr123:I think you're frustrated. I strongly believe there's a problem with you upbringing because you're such a bitter guy. Only you know who is broke among all the HMs and the rich ones. Yet you're not their bankers. You must be frustrated going by your takes |
Tinubuadvocate:This one wasted his school fees. See how he writes like a toddler. |
Babssoo:Thought in 2014, he was the best Emir in the history? |
DubaiLandLord1:1. The South will have national chairman and to think that you don't know this explains how ignorant you are in politics. 2. Tinubu worked with ACN, just like Ogbonnaya Onuh worked with ANPP. Also you're still a newbie in politics, both historically and otherwise. Onuh was presidential candidate of APP in 1999 and stepped down for Olu Falae. Is that not enough sacrifice to South West? He went to become ANPP chairman and ever since, has been with Buhari. So what role did Tinubu play better than Onuh? His governor is even in APC just like Tinubu. So he has strong points in APC and I strongly believe that his block in APC are making a strong point. Buhari has used the time of NC and NE but OBJ has used the turn of SW. So what informed all SW candidates in 1999? Amnesia is dangerous. Some of you are loud and ignorant and that is the problem with Nigeria. The wise ones are quiet while the loquacious and foolish are everywhere causing trouble. Misrepresenting information because they have the audience. But even a distant look is enough to know how empty they are. You people think SE doesn't know how to play politics? Edwin Clark asked you South West: who is the person in your region that compared to Zik? Is it because you brandish 'Biafra' scar to the north and they fall for it. This time, SE will help you brandish it and the option is left for the north. Watch out |
BeeBeeOoh:Is he talking in isolation? He is Igbo too. So if he is good terms with Buhari, why beg more people to join. When they see how Buhari treats him well, others will jump ship |
thebosstrevor1:And you're someone's child, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, friend? SMH |
If you are a keen observer, you will know that the president is literally walking on an egg shell. #EndSars report is trending US Secretary of state came visiting The delisting of Nigeria from religion intolerant country and the Reno petition before ICC. So the coming of Igbo Leaders is soothing and watch how the president media will maximize that meeting to launder the images of the man. He will eventually release Nnamdi Kanu, because the case is not looking good for the government. Kenya has refused to play ball and it's in the public domain. So the president is relieved. |
thebosstrevor1:Is that what you understood from the post? SMH |
No one should feign ignorant of the Crystal meth drug. It exists and it is deadly. Also, no one should be unaware of the war against Mkpurummiri in Anambra state. But what people of good conscience should ask is: where is NDLEA in all these fight. Where is Buba Marwa in all these? A responsible body would have milked this opportunity to rid nip drug abuse in the bud. If NDLEA is not for political settlement, they should have gone to these communities, liase with them to handover these peddlers to NDLEA so they can know if prosecution or rehab will be ideal. The communities are doing great job, but you can't rule out unprofessional conduct. What if in the course of flogging these people, someone dies? Yes, those one are confessing on camera, but NDLEA should know what next after the confession. Or is NDLEA standing aloof because someone is taking their shine? This is a great concern. |
If you're still in doubt as to APC jaundiced leadership working for PDP, then you're not paying attention. Who is APC national chairman? No one. Who is the caretaker chairman? A governor Is this constitutional? No Is this in the APC constitution? No Who is empowered to conduct Congress? Chairman or caretaker chairman? In the eyes of the law, is there any of these? No Is there a court case on this? Yes When is it going to be determined? No date Who instituted this case? Tinubu group. Is APC empasse a party affairs? According to supreme court, it's no longer a party affairs. Anybody can use the party, even PDP members. Implications: Any Congress is a sham. And any sham can't produce candidates. Prove me wrong |
There are many mentally unstable people on this thread. I suggest a check measure be introduced in this platform to help people recoil when they are veering off the lane. You continue to see same set of people repeating same thing since July. Or is there robot aid options in nairaland? |
benuejosh:What did Buhari pinpoint in 2019? High cost of things? Please go and sit down |
chosen4now:That airport is not ready. The FG cited security reasons initially, but got defeated on logic and facts. Also, know that the security reasons are still there and that they government is not friendly to South East. Therefore, it's not going to be easy. In fact, I foresee that airport not opening until after 2023. Imagine the aviation minister has never been there. That's unheard of. Obiano should also take some blames. He made the airport look like a political tool and those in APC moved politically too. |
seunolu7:I've continued to doubt the age and academic qualifications of some of our Yoruba brothers. Also, one knows the maxim "travelling is part of education" and how valid is this statement. I am from Anambra state, but in all honesty, no state in Nigeria is as educated as Imo state. No state even comes close. If you are below 25 mind what you post. If you're not lettered, be careful not to embarrass your family. If you haven't left South West, please and please, stop posting about Nigeria because you cannot make sense. The worst is if you have stayed in Lagos all your life, please stop posting about Nigeria. Let's be guided please. |

What is the difference between Ohaneze stand and Afenifere stand on national discourse? Has Afenifere attracted any meaningful thing to Yorubas? The only party the backed, AD died a natural death. Can you say so about APGA? Have you seen Afenifere being vocal on Igboho and Ohaneze is on Kanu? Since Baba Kekere died, who is Afenifere leader? How did he emerge? Unlike Ohaneze that the election was celebrated across Nigeria. I knew you're dumb, but didn't know it's this unimaginable. |
portplus:On the contrary, he has lost it. Check all the people campaigning for him, they're IDPs in their state chapters. |
oyatz:Lemme tell you the truth, you are pointlessly pointless |
BJanta:FFK is a Yoruba and had called north all manner of names. Does that mean Yoruba have called north all manner of names? Asari is Ijaw and have called north all manner of names, does that mean Ijaws or South South have called north all of names? Why are you so dumb? |
AtikuNetwork:Show me where Atiku condemned Boko Haram from 2010 to 2015. |
EcoBrick:Tinubu is smart but not wise. He has continued to burn bridges to the detriment of the party. And he's been doing this against foundational members of the party. He did it to Rochas using Adams Oshiomole via Gulak. He did it to former Zamfara gov He did to Ngige in Anambra. The party is just living on life support and keen observers know this. That is why there seems to be silence in the party. |
Pjoko:I see some folks writing off this traction and I laugh. Those that chased away Adams Oshiomole are with Amaechi and they're holding forth in the party right now. Tinubu is smart but not wise. He is burning bridges and the odds are gradually turning against him. Observation: Despite not having any governor in South South, I didn't see anyone tell Amaechi that his people hate APC and don't have stake in the party. But if this was Ngige, Tinubu and Osibanjo boys will remind us that he is Igbo and that they hate APC despite South East having senators, reps and governor. If hypocrisy is a person.. |
US Non-Profit Group, GATE, Submits 26-Page Petition To US Govt On State-Sponsored Terrorism In Nigeria FEATUREDPOLITICS ***Allege Buhari, Uzodinma, Buratai, Malami, Adamu, Bichi, Elrufai, Pantami, Lai Mohammed, Others For Aiding, Abetting Terrorism In Nigeria ***Gives Two-Month Notice To US Secretary Of State To Act, Threatens To Apply For WRIT Of Mandamus If No Action Upon Expiration IBADAN – In what could be described as a move to salvage the Indigenous Nigerians from the formidable bondages of Terrorists, a United States Based Non-Profit Group, Global Advocates For Terrorism Eradication (GATE), has petitioned the office of the United States Secretary of State, Antony J. Blinke, demanding that the United States Government should designate some Nigerian Government Officials, including President Muhammad Buhari, as Sponsors of Terrorism. The Group is particularly demanding that the Government of the United States should designate the Nigerian Government as a Sponsor of Terrorism, alleging that “from all available indices, what is happening in Nigeria is State-sponsored Terrorism”. GATE said its Core objectives are to stop the provision of material support, funding and prosecutorial protection of terrorists by state actors. In an electronic statement sent to our Correspondent by its Principal Advocate, Robert Berry, the 26-page Petition alleged that the Nigerian govt was sponsoring terrorism by carrying out terrorist activities including training, fundraising, financing, and recruitment of terrorists using the shell of their office as Nigerian Government operatives and Nigeria as a safe haven, transit and operational base for terrorists and terrorist activities. The organization said that “the Nigerian govt officials have deployed the instrumentality of power and are using the veil of sovereignty in knowingly consenting and with malicious intent allowing and promoting the use of Nigeria as a breeding ground and recruitment nursery for international terrorism activities contrary to foreign relations authorizations act fiscal years 1988 and 1989 (P.L.100 to 204:22 U.S.C 2656f), as amended.” The letter chronicles numerous terrorist activities that establishes the culpability of the Nigerian govt and her officials. Some of those acts include providing funds to terrorists and terrorist organizations; providing material support including weapons and equipment to terrorists, actively and expressly encouraging and inciting terrorist activities. Other allegations against the Nigerian Government are prosecutorial protection to terrorists by directly engaging in acts of terrorism and extra judicial killings, using the Nigerian Military, Police and other security agencies. GATE, in the petition, accused President Muhamadu Buhari, Governor Nasir El-Rufai of kaduna State, former Chief of Army Staff and Current Nigerian Ambassador to Republic of Benin, Tukur Buratai and the Director General of State Services, Yusuf Magaji Bichi of Aiding Terrorism in Nigeria. Others accused of Terrorism by GATE are former Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo State, Ministers of Communications, Justice and Information, Isa Pantami, Abubakar Malami and Lai Mohammed respectively, amongst others. GATE accuses Buhari of executing a global Jihadist agenda that is comparable, if not more insidious, than the Taliban of Afghanistan, urging the US Government to kick start the statutory process and legal instruments of holding the Nigerian Government Officials accountable for their high crimes of sponsoring international terrorism. The Group gave a notice of two-month deadline to the United States Government, warning that “if at the expiration of the two months deadline, and the designation is not made, GATE will proceed to the Federal Court in United States to apply for a Writ of Mandamus to compel the United States Secretary of State to issue the designation in line with the provisions of Law” GATE opined that US Government designating Nigerian officials as sponsors of terrorism will have far reaching legal implications, including potentially arrest and criminal prosecution in a Federal US court if they visit the country. |
melvinjames:Let's get something right. If you want to analyze a model, even with biased mind, try not to sound stupid. North West has 7 states and the raked in N79.1B South East has 5 states and the raked in N52B North East has 6 states but raked in N42B North Central including Abuja is 7 states and raked in N133B, while Abuja alone raked N69.1B. Now minus Abuja' s figure, North Central raked N64.2B. This north central figure underlined what Lagos is to South West. But ostrich won't agree. So you didn't have issues with the performances of 6 and 7 states against 5 states, but think 5 states are parasites. You must be from South West. I'm not surprised. Just yesterday, your Lagos senator, Olamilekan moved in the house that since crude oil have been found in Ogun, Bauchi, Osun, they should belong to NDDC. But he deliberately excluded Anambra who has been given oil producing status, simply because the state is in the East. Your penchant to attach yourselves to north against South East is ridiculous. Because, this is a zone you all think has nothing to offer. But will need community effort to fight them, if I'm a contest of numbers. Let's go back. We're you not shocked Osun have more IGR than Anambra? Why? What are the economic indicators that validate this claim? Currently, we know Osun is preparing to go to poll and the governor must be in the news for good reason. These are PR stunts. Because, nothing on ground shows Osun is financially stronger than Anambra, even when Anambra is Osun creditor. Yes, Osun pays Anambra ROI every month. Go figure that. On the part of Anambra, the governor under reported the IGR because he is working on the airport and international conference center. And he always said "I didn't borrow for these projects ". He actually didn't borrow, but meddled with the state IGR when the finance got depleted. You may not agree with me. But I'm telling because I know. Finally, South East zone is a peculiar zone. What works in South West will not work in South East. No wonder with little IGR, salaries are paid and massive projects are executed. So face your wonderful region where the game is: the more you look the less you see. |
etokhana: if you know the plan of those that chased away Adams Oshiomole, then you will know why Tinubu and Osibanjo supporters are restless. In 2023, it's either a South Eastern president or South South Igbo man. Mark it down. |
