Interesting topic. After about two weeks of dullness, NL is coming alive again.
I have listed my TOP 10 Nairalanders of 2008 in my thread https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-200527.0.html but they are not necessarily the Best 10, just 10 that shook NL in 2008 for either good or bad reasons, although most of them are for the good reasons.

MUZA, thank you too. . .

@ PASTOR PLC,
Why take this thing personal? You started a thread, and you know somebody will definitely make the WORST LIST, and unfortunately, you were listed in the unenviable side, and you started swearing.
You are senior enough in NL to get accustomed to all these e-bashings. Personally, I don't care about negative comments about me on NL, at most try to defend myself.
So pastor, pls take it easy!!!

It's amazing we share some words with our friends in Liberia, do you have anymore you could think off ?
Pikin is just like any other pidgin word used across English Speaking West Africa. Or do you think it's only in Naija that Pidgin is spoken?
So like pikin, almost all other pidgin words are spoken in Liberia,Ghana and S/Leone.

@ post

yes best for the yorubas! the most educated people of nigeria
Na wa for u guys oo.
Tribal bashing seems to have come to stay as the end-result of any topic on NL now, even if the topic is Arsenal v Man-U.

I wonder what tribe has got to do with this thread, no wonder you were nominated
Polls have closed and Tpia maintained her landslide victory at 16(77%0 votes(TPIA)/4(23%) votes(Deepzone). We are expecting Deepzone to give her concession speech any moment from now.

The TRIBALIST ELECT, Tpia will commence the selection of her staff that is expected to include high powered racists and tribalists in Nairaland. She may have promised "change" during her campaign but something is telling me that she will still use Nairaland's seasoned tribalists in her administration. This is the first time a woman is leading the yoruba ethnic group in tribal issues. She led a succesful and most "attack dog" campaign in history.

Her secretary of state: Quotasystem

Attorney General: Laudate

C.O.S: Ikeymann

Chief of Defense: McUsman and many more.

This is the most ridiculous and contrived non-argument I've ever read on Nairaland in a very very long time.
I don't even know where to start. Let me try: if he is a dictator, how does his wife manage to control him?
If Seun, who has read almost every single post on NL since inception, could describe a post as 'the most ridiculous' he has ever read on his NL, then na wa for the poster of that post oooo

I HAVE GAIN FROM THIS WEB SITE BUT THEY ARE ALOT OF (419) HERE.

CAN HE CREATE A POLICE (EFCC) PAGE FOR US? SOMETHING LIKE MONITORING AND GETTING THE CRIMINALS HERE.
I understand you. A newbie just trying to start a thread. But there are more important topics you can initiate than this gibberish.
First, the topic is different from the content
Second, the topic is outright irrelevant.
Third, the presentation of the questions is most illogical, incoherent and laughable.

You can do better pls.

The way you guys are analysing Nigerian league of 80's to 90's like EPL of today really surprised me.
I can also remember following Nigerian league in the period 1995-97. But today, I don't even know which club is in Division 1 and which is Division 2. Learnt Shooting star relegated some time ago, have they come back to Division 1?

I so much find Nigerian league uniteresting that anytime they are showing the matches on Supersports, I just tune on.

Constitutional lawyer Jarus,
Why are you so ignorant?
Have you read section 214,sub section 2a of the constitution?
As long as DCP Ribadu is a police officer he is under that act.
The only way he can sue the police is to resign.
Maybe you know law more than Femi Falana and Wole Olanipekun!!!

zomby:
Out of many that graduated at the NIPSS last week, how many of them are suing Nigeria police or Nigeria Federal Government?
At your work place, how many of your current co-workers are suing your employer?
As a current employee, how could you sue your employer and still expect them to treat you with respect?
Ribadu has gone against the Act that established the Nigeria Police Force by suing the the FG. I'm not sure if he was informed that he lacks the locus standi to sue the force. It is impossible to sue the force if you're still active in the service of the Nigeria Police Force. it is a shame that Mr Ribadu did not know this rule and did not bother to do any research before making this stupid move. This also say a lot about his large numbers of failed actions as EFCC chairman.

This is not a movie, it is reality and all common sense. I think Ribadu loves the negative attention he is recently getting. Let us face the fact, without this self created attention,
Barrister Zomby, let me remind you that the Police Act is not superior to the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. The constitution allows anybody to seek redress in court for breach of one's right. This overrides the Police Act. Prominent Lawyers like Femi Falana, Gani, Olanipekun and others have all explained this.

Dayokanu and Akolawole,
You guys sabi football o. U dey talk matches of the 80's as if na yesterday den play em.
I started watching football 96, only read of matches before then.
Anyway, I guess Akolawole should be in his Mid-Thirties, having been playing since Eighties.
