Subject Rubble to natural rule of economics, then you will see a weakened currency. But ask yourself, for how long can Russia govt defends the Rubble artificially?

One more thing, the effect of the sanctions is not meant to be immediate. It will creep in and destroy the Russia economy. Even Putin admits this fact in one of his speeches. The effects of the sanctions are already being felt in the military, where they couldn't manufacture more weapons due to unavailability of spare parts from EU. Oga, the energy crisis in Europe just told us that Russia is capable of handling the ludicrous sanctions being placed.

Further more, the demand for Russian crude is always there on the international market ...and countries in Asia are now willing to play ball with Russia to meet up with the gaps Europeans left.

So how can you now say that Russia cannot afford to pay and create its own military hardware when it is already clear that they have willing and able customer from Asia who will buy from them to sustain their economy...?

Secondly, members of a church do not always request for payment because they willingly offer their services from their own freewill. An outsider who comes into the church is not under the same obligation and can demand for payment for his skills . After all, do you not pay for laborers who come and build your church?
