The desire for a civil war, something so many want in Nigeria, have waited for, has allowed them, the government, the people, to become what they fear most, slaves in their own nation.
Nigeria isn’t Libya. It has a population 15 times that of Libya.
Nigeria is Africa. Saving Nigeria was vital to world stability, something only a select few know |

How can something that has little or no maneuverability be an "anti-aircraft missile" launcher? Most of its joints are welded together, yet, it should, somehow, be able to stop MOVING AIRCRAFT??

Business › Re: The Most Economically Viable States In Nigeria To Invest Into by jason123: 1:45pm On Nov 14, 2011 |
PapaBrowne: The question is not exactly well put through!
Economic viability would be an investment consideration depending on what sector and kind of investment you are seeking. For instance, if you are looking to invest in Agriculture, climate and soil fertility as well as land use and community activities would be your consideration. Benue, Taraba Adamawa, Edo as well as a couple others would be ideal depending again on the kind of Agriculture.
If you are looking to invest in Manufacturing, you would be thinking access to markets, infrastructure and human resource. Lagos, Ogun, Rivers, Edo. et al would be good.
If you are thinking Services, then Lagos is numero uno. But there is also a host of economic potential in states like Rivers, Delta, Edo, Abuja, Akwa Ibom et al.
From my observation over time, After Lagos and Abuja, the South South states offer the best potential not just because of the oil industry, but also because of the large concentration of an educated populace.
So all in all, the most viable states for investment would depend on the specific sector and kind of investment you are seeking! So be specific! Good analysischy101: ^^
You analysis is diversionary and does not hold any water. Why do you keep hammering on the SE as if the mention of SE is your beginning of wisdom? Apart from Lagos which is largely FG and Igbo/Hausa domination, the entire SW is hugely un-secure and unfriendly business/economic environment which is today responsible for investors being scared away from places like Ekiti, Osun, Oyo, Ondo, ogun and attendant poverty ravaging the region. Place like NE and some parts of NC will be good for agricultural investment due large mass of lands. In the SE, states as Anambra and Abia, particularly Onitsha and Nnewi will be suitable for investment in manufacturing/technological due to the existing large commercial outfit and daily visitors traffic witnessed in the city. Onitsha Port will also be a major added advantage. Investors scared away from Oyo, Ondo and Ogun?? SW insecure and unfriendly? You sir, are ignorant. |

What are you proud of gan sef? Lies and what the OP can't even prove to you exist anywhere?
You are of course free to have your intelligence insulted with lies and bogus claims, but no need to ask others to follow you and swallow the same rubbish. Because the OP brought out fake pictures does not mean it is untrue. 2 newspapers cannot be lying. About the "it is the best on Africa" statement, everyone should be entitled to prop-up their states. Its simply self-pride and there is no harm in that. |

Mr. President, we say emphantic YES to subsidy removal and we thank you for your effort at improving electricity generation and transmission. PhysicsQED: GEJ and Abati don't know what they're talking about and their decision to complain about the rejection of the award is what is really regrettable.
And how they reached the conclusion that Achebe's supposedly "regrettable" decision was due to "misinformation" or a lack of information is beyond me. They should just accept that he knows whats going on there but things aren't up to his standards, yet.
Also, they've managed to drastically reduce the worth of these awards by giving them to people who don't really fit the profile. Can't agree more! |

Politics › Re: I Made Them Pay For Claiming I Removed Oil Wells From Ondo To Bendel- Omoigui by jason123: 8:20pm On Nov 13, 2011 |
Relax101: I dnt understand how Ondo state would have boundary with Delta state skipping Edo state. If not for the oil wells, what else then? This is so much insane. I mean insane. I did not get your point, however, I'd describe the situation and hopefully, it should abstractly answer your question. Ondo shares boundaries with Delta and Edo state. Most of the disputed oil wells have already been given to the Bendel states.
Its gonna be very difficult to create strict boundaries, in a once fluid boundary. For instance, some might argue that Akoko Edo should be in Edo while other will say it should be in Ondo. Some parts of Itsekiri and Ijaw land is in Ondo while there are Ilajes in Delta. Trying to reawaken the sleeping dog will do foster a healthy relationship in that area. |

Politics › Re: I Made Them Pay For Claiming I Removed Oil Wells From Ondo To Bendel- Omoigui by jason123: 7:47pm On Nov 13, 2011 |
This is a bit dull. State boundaries are not based on ethnicity but on viability, among other factors. With that said, from the article, he said 5 oilwells were located between bendel and ondo, why not share it 50-50? Why assume that it must go to Edo or Ondo? Relax101: So what is the problem? The topic says people in govt during OBJ military ERA adjusted the boundaries so they could have some oil wells in regions where it does not exist.
The boundary between Delta, Edo, Ondo needs to be visited again. Just looking at the map makes me wonder. There is nothing to be revisited. Any further visitation will cause more harm than good. Again, state boundaries are not based on ethnicity. |
