your app simply checks the users home dir for the db, if its not there extract the archive one to the user dir ,

I agree with you that the more certs u do, the better u become as a programmer. Hope u know nigerians can read wella. Nigerians can read the hardest thing in the world ans still pas the exam. But my emphasis has always been on service delivery. Not all those who have all the certs can deliver, at least in nigeria i know. So my verdict is that,

Bsc doesnt define u.
Certifications also desnt define u.


Wat defines u is ur skill, ur references will be ur portfolio, as in the works and projects u have handles not ur CV. Your ability to presen, speak well on IT related issues, come up with maddddddd proposals also defines u. In that way, any employer that asks u for papers after that maybe does not like ur looks , or maybe ur hair is too curly or she's scared u will impregnate the female staffs . Just kidding sha

I am a programmer but i'm presently in Adamawa state to get a job done. I have seen loads and loads of them and u are right in every sense of the word. They are indeed beautiful.

I also don't approach a woman or sister if i am not ready for marriage. But my brother, from the info i have gathered here, it's difficult for any other tribe to marry fulani ooooo. if it happens, its in rare cases. Most of them u see around already have intending husbands.

u are right. some people are as crazy as the nigerian system of education. they have adapted so well to the "pali" thing and need certs to get a job. Thats why u wud c some1 (i'm trying to do away wit d word programmer) with all the acronymed pali on earth and yet cannot make a simple helloworld. So, those kinds are IT inclined not programmers.

The nigerian employers needs serious education. The nigerian employer needs to understand that only the skillful, the exposed and experienced would contributely productively to a process. The "pali" guy would just be there as a figure head and end up being a liability.

It alson depends on the employer in question. Some employers require you to have all the "pali" in the world but your job description will be just to monitor some servers or update some customer details and all dat bullshit. For someone who is hell bent on getting a job, thats a good one. For someone like me who even though i want to get a job, i must code ooooooo and if i dont, dem one kill me b dat. i'm doing this first for the love, then for the greens!!!!!

You missed it. Your quotation was even uttered by Christ Himself. As believers, we know that God the Father, Jesus and the Holy Spirit are one. This is a mystery that you cannot understand until you repent from sin and come out of that empty religion as I have done. So, Jesus who spoke that word you quoted knows that He is God and therefore if you serve Him, you cannot be serving mammon. Islam serves Allah - the god of Sun. That's why you cannot pray without facing a particular direction. We know that the true God is everywhere, and we can pray to Him facing any direction, taking any posture, and at anywhere.

So, Jesus was referring to you, when He said you should not serve mammon (allah). Why not seek for clarification if you are confused instead of taking Bible verses and interpreting it to your destruction.

i agree with u to an extent. at this point, anything is possible. professional artistes have managers who over see their activities like shows, interviews and all. He paid the money to his manager's account according to him.

The fact that one flaunts all the acronymed certifications in the world does not make u a good programmer at all but nigerians are fond of doing that.

Programming is no Econs or Banking and Finance where u are required to read ur life out. Programming is practical meaning one is expected to be able to deliver, be able to code, perform needs assesments and all. To hell with all certificates in general cos it doesnt define you. As a programmer, its all about the skill and if you dont have it, u are out.

I once attended an interview at TELNET and i ended up lecturing the interviewer. Some of them just belive because the have loads of certs, they can intimidate you with acronyms LLMO, JHXC and all that bullshit.

Do't get me wrong, its not a bad idea to have them but having then and not being able to deliver vexes me. I have met a thousand and one peeps like that. Some of them even runz it at their prometric centres (don't want to mention centres now sha).
