Where do you see yourself in the next year or two?

What actions his he taking to remedy his current situation?

Have you got age on your side?

What level of financial commitment/assurance would be needed to help allay your current fears?

What’s the relationship like at the moment, is he the type that share from the little he has?

What kind of distance are we talking about. Few KM’s or 100’s of miles?

Some believe perfection is far-fetched and an illusion. An efficient job doesn't necessarily mean a perfect job. Outstanding result is the goal even if the edges are rough.

I used to be a perfectionist. I'm still one slightly. My former boss was very disorganized and would tell you the 100 defects of a perfectionist. Just don't mention that word near him. I've never seen his type before. Perhaps he died of perfection is his former life.
Perfection is simply eradicating posibility of errors or better still reducing the margin of error to the bare minimum. Though hard to achieve but easy to embed into working practice and standards. That's why we have proper Quality Assurance where standards are set and results are delivered to specification

You have to be a perfectionist in safety critical roles.

I'm actually doing a presentation on quality assurance in a few days

True that. Perfectionist is a better word...though it has been opposed a few times. I avoided it because someone challenged me on it. These things can be two-faced sometimes. Bottom line- be yourself...even if you are a thief, at least you are honest enough to admit it, that's a plus cheesy
What was the challenge?
I mean it's not uncommon to have robust processes which sometimes add extra layers to quality assurance process. This is same as being a perfectionist as in one always trying hard to ensure consistency of approach and in turn effective/efficent delivery of results.

Tip: When you mention a weakness, never forget to mention what you are doing about the weakness. It shows you admit your fault, can take responsibility for your action and also yearn to grow and develop yourself.

For example, "I am a bit slow because I love accurate and a perfect job but I try to put this in check by setting deadlines and daily goals & also constantly reassuring myself that I have the ability to do things with speed and accuracy irrespective of the situation".

OR

"I am not time-conscious because I dwell too much on important tasks but I put this in check by using my alarm clock, reminder, online calendar and a time-check journal including friends . Once I get a beep, I know the clock is ticking."

Don't even bother to pretend you don't have a weakness. We all do, except you are a robot. I've never lied about mine and it boosts confidence cheesy
Dont ever say you are slow or not time concsious. You simply can't spin that as it's red flag already
Just use the perfectionist buzz word instead

HealthRe: How Do You Cope With People Who Talk And Touch You? by jaybee3(m): 9:34am On Oct 27, 2014
UjSizzle:
Touchy Feely people. Don't like it at all unless from people I'm very familiar with...and even then it's restricted. I have some colleagues whose days aren't complete until they've touched me. Most times I let my facial expression and body language communicate my discomfort, but the the individual is too slow to read that, I tell them straight up.
If a stranger touches me, I just tell them I don't like being touched (with a frown). But some people have no respect for personal spaces sha undecided

Both are very hard on the body.
I will rather go through the odd mental hoops to climb the career ladder than constant daily physical hoops. The fish seller is also using her brain too o! she needs to do her calculations properly or she will be out of pocket
The fact that she did not write a thesis doesnt mean that she isnt using her brain.
You see why we all cant be olympic champions tongue
Make i start?

Chaircover abeg educate them.
Everytime career woman this career woman that.
Shioor!
Market women stay longer outside than d so called career women. Some even sell weekends.
My mummy wakes(infact I wake up not seeing her if she is going to far away market)very early, does her things and off she goes.she prepares food at times b4 going(very early)most times she comes late. But anytime she is at home, we enjoy d most of her. So also all d women I knew of.

Career women r even lucky, they hv washing machine, can cook and pack inside freezer,so tee there is a machine for pounding yam too.
Do you really want to compare physical stress to mental stress?

A career woman must have gone through all sort of hoops just to climb the career ladder.

Are you saying that the fish seller who wakes up at 3am to catch the 4am danfo to badagry to buy fish, comes back home to Barracks to smoke the fish, then sells them at Iyana Iba market in the afternoon and the night market at okoko is not a career woman?

People think carrer woman and automatically think of the women holding board positions and skirt suits. . . . .

A lot of women are out there providing for their familes and many just dont have choices especially in a place like Nigeria where there is no welfare state for widows, divorcess etc
A career person is a professional person ma'am
FamilyRe: Can Today's Women Have Successful Careers And Happy Families? by jaybee3(m): 4:55pm On Oct 22, 2014
YES if they have a very supportive partner.
One person can't simply do it alone. Some do try but surely the work/life equilibrium would almost certainly be imbalance

I forgot to ask a very crucial question . . .

What is considered a career woman?

To me, a career woman is anyone who works . .

A woman who goes round banks selling shoes, hairdressers, fashion designers, bankers, teachers, fish sellers, nurses, social workers etc are all career women.
One who has been in structured employment for any given period just like a career civil servant is one that has worked all their life in civil service
