olu4life: And no one responded on the issue again. Pls can u just verify it and push to the frontpage if TEHN can't be of help to this case? I await ur response. ThanksAs much as we sympathise with the case, we are under no obligation to accept each and every case. We've already extensively explained the rationale behind our initial decision and as such expect you to exercise some patience. We agreed to revist the decision process but you need to understand this doesn't guarantee that the initial decision will be overturned. Our decision process involves anonymous voting among the exec's by which only a returned majority leads to an acceptance. We will contact you either way once the process is complete Regards |

Basic common sense..... Stronger together weaker apart |

"Permit me to say this- If you don't find it demeaning to spread your legs in the east and west direction just to get #5,000 from a man, then you shouldn't find any job too demeaning." Yes but then again the effort isn't comparable All the same, you are bang on point. God knows if i ever have a daughter, i'd definitely drill the "Yes I can" spirit in her from the get go |
cococandy: While I'm not a fan of Ayo and his showy type of CAN leadership,if he says he rented the jet out and it can be confirmed that it was actually rented out, wouldn't it make sense to hold the actual people in possession of the jet at the time it was impounded so that they speak up on who they are working for.He owns a private jet not commercial Jet. Asside from the obvious implications (Taxation, circumventing normal airport protocols et al) surrounding the wrongful use of jets registered as private to be then used for commercial interest, Ignorance is simply not an excuse. The Ayo dude is bleeped no matter what angle you might want to view this from |
@cococandy You know what, how about we cut out all these role defining antics and just revist the dynamics of FWB ![]() |
cococandy: Sorry I don't believe you.You really don’t have to because your mind is pretty much made up. I just need you to understand that there isn't really any hard/fast rule with relationship matters. Life isn't really clear cut and decisions made in relationships are always dependent on various factors that are usually outside of ones control. No single person that truly and genuinely loves the other person will go out and cheat but having said that, there is the big humongous issue of temptation. Even the best fall for this singular most important cause of the act of cheating. What some men do is avoid temptations but I can assure you it will be hard to find a man that will say no to some big bouncing naked booty with 100% assurance of secrecy. |
“Madam cococandy or whatever you fancy yourself, the men that don't cheat are the men that don't get caught.” <= Touché Nuff said |

MadCow1: Your friends case is being reviewed.. Keep calm...This was the official response to his request: Thanks for your email. We’ve now had the chance to deliberate on your request as a group and our official response is that we wouldn’t be able to provide any assistance with this case at this time. We are currently in the project closure phase of a case that we’ve been involved in since last year July (Ms Folake). The thread is on NL, the lady lived with a goitre around her neck for close to 16 years up until we stepped in and managed to finance her surgery through donations from Nlers. Unfortunately, this lady died of complications 4 days after having had a successful surgery and our stance since then is not to take on any more health related cases that we can’t really guarantee success since we are at the mercy of both incompetent health service workers and dilapidated health system as a whole in Nigeria. We are aware that the plan is to have the surgery done in India but our verification process involves us having to get expert opinion on health related cases. As you can imagine, this has been a traumatic period for every one of us involved with this woman’s case so taking up another risky case would be a step too far at this time. Sorry we are unable to help but be rest assured you will be in our prayers All the best The rationale: 1) Timing - No matter how much effort and time we put into these cases, one thing that shouldn't be forgotting is our emotional investment. As you can imagine the bond we shared with Ms Folake (may her soul rest in perfect peace) all through the 20+ months we were involved with her case. It was a wrong time to take on board a case as delicate as that knowing fully well how the previous medical case went. We are human and thus expected to be a lil emotional with these sort of cases considering the close relationships our field workers establish with our recipients. As much as we do not to cherry pick cases, we as a group can only move forward/evolve using lessons learnt so as to be the best we can be as well as serving our stakeholders as expected. 2) Policy - I did mention that we were in the closure phase of Ms Folake's project and thus we couldn't really take on new cases at the time. I duly apologise for not elaborating if this point wasn't made clear. We are now revieiwing our policy to allow us work on concurrent cases. 3) complexity of the case - The case looked complex on the surface and since we couldn't really make an informed decision using an expert advice at the time as well as not having the luxury of time to carry out due diligence as expected, we just felt it was best to give it a pass at the time. We have never promised to accept all cases as we simply cant due to obvious reasons. Our promise is that all cases received will be looked into before making a decision to either accept or reject. Regards |
MadCow1: R231..Brb with the rationale for that consensus decision |
r231: Yes!Not restricted to care homes We want to hear from each and everyone of you If; you know an elderly person that is in need of any help they can get, and we can easily verify |
softsparkyy: Jaybee tell me what you have to offer make I direct my spirit your side sharpish.Def not captain dick cos every dick and harry can offer you that Def not cash cos 1) you can get that yourself and 2) that doesn't separate me from the other pretenders Def not going to be promise of love cos love isn't meant to be proclaimed but rather shown via verifiable/undeniable actions Def not going to be all sort of gifts cos the best gift is myself, my time, my soul and my all ![]() |
softsparkyy: Babe that's why I do my things now as the spirit leads.Abegi, allow your spirit lead you come this side na ![]() Me i be okoro Yoruba Yoruba but i get some kind thing wey i fit offer you |

UjSizzle: I admire your patience.I admire your beauty (Both inside and outside) |
chimoz: How much do you gain from this tehn stuff? For the past three years plus, you have been anchoring it and nobody is holding you accountable. Please first create a thread giving a meticulous account of the previous tehn. Before that, I wont be donating my hard earned money on this edition. Thanks ever so for your valid questions and concern shown. TeHN is currently made up of 8 individuals (All Nairalanders) who support our work through donations and voluntary self-service. The group was set up to support the less privileged in our nation via various fund campaigns for targeted and specific verified projects. We do not gain monetarily from donations received. Our only gain in the way of seeing joy on the faces of people we help and being able to alleviate people from poverty is usually realized if and when we are able to successfully deliver all agreed deliverable. All money received are announced on the thread and aggregated along throughout the campaign process. All expenditures are usually published on the specific threads as of when needed Any money left over from specific projects are simply rolled over to the next project. We keep a spreadsheet of all donations received to date accompanied with project expenses Regards |
Eneze1: If Tehn is targeting the elderly, I think the age range should be 60 and above and when do you want people to start donating? Thanks for your suggestion Ma. The age range was specifically used so as to create meaningful statistics to support our argument. Although it will be very difficult to ascertain/verify ages of potential recipients (We don’t plan to) but be rest assured all recipients will be worthy of the prospective support. This is our guarantee The fund raising campaign will open beginning of next month Regards |
chaircover: Yes Mr ExcelLil man had swimming lesson |
Hope you got my last email? |
striktlymi: If you feel this strongly about contributing now, you can as well lead by example.Oga, please don't let us derail this thread. You've made a valuable contribution so let's leave it at that. Thanks @all We need suggestions on how to achieve our goals for this year. Keep them coming y'all |
striktlymi: I am not sure the nature this venture will take but if it is about bringing happiness to the faces of some old folks in the short term e.g making merry their 2014 Christmas only, then I think it may just be a complete waste of time and resources. It might look like a complete waste of time but be rest assured every little help does count in the eyes of the vulnerable and/or less privileged. Besides, end of year charity flight is an annual event organised by TeHN funded by NLers to put smiles on the faces of people of all age groups who otherwise would have had no one to share the festive period with. Our mandate is not restricted to an end of year event as we've been able to successfully alleviate some people out of poverty through our past projects. You are welcomed to support us as you so wish Much appreciated |
