Gboliwe:My bad, sorry about that. So we decided as a group to move forward with the following action plans (set goals) and was wondering how you can help with any of them: 1) We shall try and recruit regional volunteer coordinators that can help visit hospitals where we can find elderly folks that may need some sort of help during these period. They are to help identify their needs and then report back so we can make executive decisions on how we plan to use donated money to meet some of these needs. 2) We will leave the option of NLers making recommendations of elderly folks that they know and might need help for a month so we can investigate and accept as we go along. 3) We shall work with the NLers that suggested 2 dedicated care homes for the elderly to investigate and in turn include into our planning if they are deemed fit for purpose. |
Update: Donation thread is now live => https://www.nairaland.com/1935512/tehn-calling-all-givers-hlp |

The TNRI scholarship is an anonymously funded initiative for less privileged would be university aspirants that would have otherwise had to forfeit their respective admissions due to lack of funds. The scheme is to be run every year with a deserved winner selected around May of each year. In other to be transparent as well as maintaining integrity and consistency of approach, the scheme requires a panel that will help shape our approach, make executive decisions and recommendations throughout each year. Our requirement is to have 5 panel members who are going to be rotated on a yearly basis. We intend to follow this procedure in order to recruit the 5 panel members: 1) TeHN will recruit a permanent Independent panel member from one of her key stakeholders 2) TeHN will recruit 2 panel members from her members through internal voting on a yearly basis 3) The 3 confirmed panel members (1 and 2) will nominate 2 potential panel members each 4) We shall ask Nlers to nominate extra 4 potential panel members 5) The top 4 nominated panel members from NL will be added to the 6 nominated by the 3 confirmed panel members to make 10 6) The 10 potential panel members will go into an online poll and the top 2 vote-getters will get confirmed into the panel We understand that this process is laborious but we have a duty to ensure the process is inclusive as well as open at all times. We‘ve managed to Confirm the top 3 on our procedural list and the result is as follows: Confirmed panel members Chaircover – Panel member (TeHN’s representative. voted through internal polling) Binigirl – Panel member (TeHN’s representative. voted through internal polling) Naijababe – Panel Member (Recommended by TeHN) Potential Members: Aisha2 – Recommended by chaircover Belong - Recommended by chaircover Debosky - Recommended by Naijababe Okijajuju - Recommended by Naijababe Goshen360 - Recommended by Binigirl Acidosis - Recommended by Binigirl ? – Recommended by Nlers ? – Recommended by Nlers ? – Recommended by Nlers ? – Recommended by Nlers The nomination process will be open for 2 weeks from now onward and we envisage having the remaining 2 panel members confirmed by the middle of next month Lastly, you can view the thread here for more background Info => https://www.nairaland.com/1842604/tehn-calling-all-school-leavers Regards TeHN |
moca: My dear, dont doubt her, i saw worst.I'm not doubting her oooo. Coco na my paddy I'm actually horrified that people will witness such and allow such monster to get away. We simply don't care enough |
cococandy: If you guys are sure the kids are being sexually and physicallY molested, why not report him?Exactly! Majority of Nigerians simply don't care Caring is not just about doing the right things when people aren't looking. It's also about taking a stance as well as doing the right things when people are looking. Simply intervene if you witness something that's obviously wrong. Don't just sit and pray, do something about it |
UjSizzle: He tugs the strings of my heartchoi mogbe.... ujuuuuuuuuuu |
freecocoa: Seriously jay? We gon play it like this? You sort of relayed the information like it happened right in front of you na and i'm right to question why people would have allowed him to escape since they seem to have seen him kungfu the helpless lady The dynamics of the case you referenced are different: "Mr Asiedu, the son of a pastor and a midwife, died in the street after being stabbed in the heart in the early hours of 1 August 2009. Known as DJ Charmz, he had just performed a set at the Club Life nightclub in Vauxhall, south London, and was walking to a car with friends when he was attacked. Police said another group approached and an argument broke out with one of Mr Asiedu’s friends, apparently over a “trivial” college dispute. Mr Asiedu and his friend Peter Lama, who survived, were stabbed in the following attack, while their friends fled. They returned to find Mr Asiedu collapsed in the road and tried to drive him to hospital but despite first aid from police and paramedics, he was pronounced dead in the car." |
