Beaf: Hall of fame: GEJ for improving electricity supply. Barth Nnaji for improving electricity supply.
Okonjo Iweala for bringing financial discipline to govt. Deziani Allison madueke for blocking corruption loopholes and killing many vultures in the petroleum sector.
Hall of Shame: Aregbesola for giving farmers "free" land in an elephant reserve in front of flashing camera's; then getting boy's to beat the poor farmers off their "free" land when nobody was looking.
Ndume for his boko haram activities. He was someone we looked to as an uncompromisingly principled progressive. Who should really get the credit outta the 2? Just asking |

This article should help http://www.guardian.co.uk/news/datablog/2011/dec/01/corruption-index-2011-transparency-internationalReason why Nigeria is supposedly higher than it ought to be "The Index, which is closely watched by investors, economists, and civil society campaigners, is based on expert assessments and data from 17 surveys from 13 independent institutions, covering issues such as access to information, bribery of public officials, kickbacks in public procurement, and the enforcement of anti-corruption laws. While critics note that measuring perceptions of corruption is not the same as measuring corruption itself, the latter is almost impossible to do - as the corrupt are usually keen to cover up their tracks, hard data on graft and bribery is notoriously difficult to come by." |
