Which is what PMB is doing. All this 145 naira is partial removal of subsidy. It is the same thing GEJ, and OBJ and Co have done.

Meanwhile, cost of importing fuel is 142 per liter. We import 50million liters of PMS daily, and produce less than 18 million PMS daily at home.

Oil price has fallen, from 120 in 2013 to 64 today, and somehow Nigerians expect govt to find money to knock down fuel to 97naira per liter.

Even when oil was high, we wasted billions subsidize fuel, that we could have used to do things like increase refining capacity at home. (See why GEJ could not build refineries).

Nigerians should stop deceiving themselves and embrace deregulation. Yes, fuel will cost 200 per liter initially. Yes, poor people will suffer. But investors will come, and eventually, due to competition, prices will fall.

Time we stopped deceiving ourselves. Oil subsidy must go. So that we can have money forbetter things.

Fuel might be sold at over 350 per litre if this ur nonsense is implemented. High fuel cost will cost unprecedented inflation that will kill alot of Nigeria. We are not ripe for total deregulation

Am thinking of driving home this Xmas but I just started driving 9months Ago

I feel very comfortable behind the wheels and am currently processing my drivers lincence. I also drive every day to work which is about 80km everyday.

Is it advisable for me to hit the highways now or do I need more experience.
Kindly advice

Highway is a different ball game esp if u are driving for over 8hrs. U need confidence n composure. I think u ve enough experience to do the Journey jst get someone to join u on d said day n ensure ur car is in top shape. Dnt over speed keep it at 80 to 100km/h.

I travelled from PH to Enugu in less than 2 months driving experience.

Fatigue and sleepy driving in highway can cause fatal accident, if at any point u fill sleepy or too fatigue may be after 5 hrs on the wheel pls take a 30minutes break by stopping at any safe place arnd for a little rest. Goodluck, it will be fun provided ur vehicle is in top shape.
Use ur horn, signal light, mirrors n periodically check ur instrument cluster for any unusual light, fuel n temp gauge. Spare tyre must be in good shape

My friend, a self employed Mechanical Engineer is a widower, his wife died in an accident in 2013. He had only one child with the late wife. God has really blessed his hustling and his business is doing pretty well. Some of his friends including myself have been encouraging him to get married again since 2015 but he didn't take it serious until he visited my office and saw one of my students whom he said he love and would like to marry in April 2017. The girl is 29 while my friend is 37. Now the problem is that this young beautiful lady have vehemently disagreed with him on the issue of marriage. I was so surprised that a young "reasonable" lady will be collecting money from a man she will not want to marry, what kind of nonsense is that? My friend told me that this lady will still reject his proposal after asking and collecting money from him, but he stopped giving her money since November and this lady have continued to ask him for money. He showed me the text message she sent to passionately beg for money just last Sunday December 3, 2017. I told him to text her and remind her about his proposal which he did, this lady replied within 7 minutes like this "marriage between you and I is not possible because I'm already engaged but I beg you in the name of God to please help me with whatever you can afford out of the 50k I asked from you since over one month ago, I seriously need it to complete my clearance, collect my notification of result and processes NYSC pre-registration so that I can be mobilised with the 1st batch in 2018, I don't have any other person to look up to except you, God will show you mercy".
I went to the admin section of my institution to get information about her through the Assistant Registrar (Exams and Records) who is my very good friend, he told me this evening that this lady paid for and collected her result since October and that she has completed her NYSC pre-registration since November. Please what kind of devilish lady is this one? Rejecting someone's proposal but lying to collect money from him. I haven't come across this in my life and I cannot call her because she has already graduated and no more in school, and also, I wouldn't want insult so I can't get involved.
