as a matter of fact most people comment on this issue without really understanding the true picture. Official doller price has always been 197-99 recently and not 300. The 300 is just the black market price for those who are desperate to but does not fall within those allowed to buy from banks. The primary function of CBN is to regulate the demand and supply of money in the economy. Although the current CBN governor has fail to manage this properly.

yes exactly... some people just make comments without having an iota of an idea of what is going on...I still use my cards to buy online and the rate is normal...but truth be told the CBN governor is as clueless as a gold fish

Moneyram 200naira to 1$. That is amazing but western union has been paying me between 195.5 and 196 to 1$.

why do you want them to pay you at black market price?? lol...that means they are going against the rule of CBN which pegs the dollar at < 200naira

moneygram at 200naira to 1 usd yes...my mum sent me money from Nigeria...

black market price...it's still officially 199...my mum sent me moneygram and the exchange rate was 200naira to 1usd... that's why CBN is looking to remove BDCs and replace with travelex...

Don't mind them. It's actually a scam they operate in the western world. Those charity groups need to present a 'starving' Africa in order to continue receiving millions in donations, to fund the lavish lifestyle of their staff. So, expect more of the same manufactured news.....afterall if hunger is no more an issue in Africa they will have to find new jobs.

your mama born you well my friend...africans have not opened their eye to know that the western world still wants to control us..some neocolonialism bullshyte...a better africa is just not in their agenda

Bros, I can see that you are in Malaysia. Please I have some enquiries to make. On the average, how much ringgit do you spend on feeding and other living expenses in a month?

well...lemme break it down

housing plus utilities--- 700 (could be 680, 670...fluctuates due to water and electricity bills)
feeding ---400 (includes cooking and eating out)
transport to school---50
flexing money--- 150

total----1300

***sometimes more depends but it also depends on where you live...like my former house plus utilities would cost around rm1100

When you receive it, post the receipt like you did previously, if this is true then Firstbank could be fined seriously for this. Besides money laundering which other way do you think you can get money from here? You are in for it! You better start looking for work or you will starve.

i just called like RIGHT NOW...and the customer care told me it was suspended last week but it only lasted for two days or so..she told me my parents can send to me...so you might wanna try calling them to enquire yourself and get firsthand info plus you can get money through aroko fx... and I just sent a facebook message to moneygram and here's their reply...guess y'll gon be satisfied now

This matter no funny sha ohh.
and I don't have time to play any blame game. I would rather look for a solution and let the situation work in my favor.

christmas eve...i withdrew and the day before that I withdrew...you can try to use bitcoins to get money...BitX has launched in Nigeria...a new way to receive and send from Nigeria and CBN is trying to regulate it before next year but they are operational tho...check one or two...halla!!
