I should be asking you the question my friend 'Why are you so outdated'. Nobody said your parents did not send you money by WU or not but today is December 23, 2015 and I put it to you that as of this day, you cannot send money out of the country via Western Union because the banks have suspended this service. You are the one arguing blindly and unfortunately you have even resorted to insult which is no surprise that you cannot even comprehend a simple statement. Maybe you should consider keeping up with news and happenings in Nigeria than waste precious time on abusive language.

and my sister received few days ago.... when I receive next week I'd be back to reply you...take care son...keep the cave clean

265 for online payment is good. First bank charged around 269-270 master card. I think it's the cashless policy.. However note if you are withdrawing with ATM you would be charged around that 260-270 . Cc jayjustus

i'm not sure about that tho...I only use GTB cards to buy on aliexpress and they give me standard CBN rate but when I withdraw they usually rape me front and back with that high exchange rate...so I don't withdraw again...WU and moneygram all the way babyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

Ok thanks for that infor. Back to op stress. Do you also know that most people outside Nigeria didn't have their passport handy because sometimes it takes school a lot of time to process their passport. Just saying.

yes...I've been in similar situation before...but I just asked my mum to send to my friend...then I just followed him to the place and filled in the form and he collected on my behalf...

PS: don't tell your friend the MTCN number...easy you're good to go

Sorry bro I have never used western union in Nigeria. Let me ask you one question. Do you source your own dollar or the bank debits your account. And since the op is not in Nigeria. Can he access his account online and make the transfer or is he going to risk his funds to a third party before such transaction is made. Please educate me. I want to understand the situation here.

apparently you send in naira....just walk into the bank and ask for a WU or moneygram SENDING form...give them any ID like passport, drivers license, national ID, voters card etc...then pay whatever you wanna send in naira and they will tell you the amount your beneficiary will receive and the charges...like if they send 50k to me the charge is 4000...way lot cheaper than atm witdrawal...he can tell his parents to do that...its hassle-free smiley

Transfer the funds into someone's account in naija and have them send it to you via western Union or money gram. You might also consider buying paypal funds, not sure if paypal is used in South Africa.

Good luck.

exactly...use western union and moneygram...and the exchange rate they use is real time live exchange rate not some bogus mallam street rate...I've been using western union and moneygram and no problem for the past one year...let them keep dulling with atm bullshyte...but note that the card has only been suspended from atm withdrawals but pos and online transactions are still available...

Had it been GEJ or GMB is your Dad, I know no matter how bad he is, you won't insult him, even the people that can't say a word outside, will now talk because he/she is with gadget. This country's problem is not here, may the almighty God help us.
