Food / Re: Help! Is It Possible To Save My Egusi Soup? by JayPeeOham: 8:56pm On Feb 29
thymetraveler:
Omoh yesterday I prepared a delicious egusi soup, garnished with chicken breast, pomo, goat meat, titus fish, dry fish and okporoko (stock fish)--in addition to other essential ingredients like spicy (knorr and star), pumpkin leaf, etc etc.

Had a go at it yesterday evening and it was really good smiley
Then I warmed it like around 11:00pm.

This morning, I warmed it like around 8:00 am; I would have frozen it in my freezer but I was expecting a fellow friend who'd told me he would be coming around so I didn't see the need for freezing it yet.

Now, this evening, I just remembered it when it was already 9:50pm--that's the thing sometimes with remote work; one could get engrossed in it sometimes especially if it's my kind that has to do with coding/programming and code analysis.
I just totally forgot sad

By the time I got to the soup, I saw it was almost starting to "foam", and I quickly put it on fire. After warming, it doesn't have the fresh taste it had anymore. Tastes a LITTLE bit sour and lacking flavour sad

Has anyone experienced this? What did you do to the soup (or what can be done)? Food experts.

Mods...

1. Just add palm oil and slice fresh onions into the soup

2. Throw a cube of charcoal inside the soup and leave for about an hour (you can Google this if you think it's a joke)

By the way, you should have scooped some of the soup to freeze after all your friend couldn't have eaten the whole soup.

Talk from now till tomorrow, them no go hear.

And besides it's kinda difficult to be submissive. Some men can be so petty and annoying.

Same way it is also very difficult for a man to love or why do you think GOD Almighty had to make it as a command to both parties - he said Husband, Love thy wife and Wife, submit to thy husband.

So by default those 2 are the recipes for a peaceful marriage.

Just imagine a home where the husband loves his wife and the wife submits to he r husband.

I tell you everything else will fall in place.

Just like some people above are saying that all men have ego which is true but that ego is crushed on the altar of love and submission

Wow!
A pleasure e-meeting you.

There's how most Ugep people eat their tapioca with oil, pepper and onion alone but I prepare mine fried and garnished that you won't even tell that it's common cassava.
I learnt to prepare it that way from my mum, you really need to try it.

Printme1:
I've been using Instagram for a while and I've seen some really really pretty girls.

But now that I think about it, my babe is actually a lot prettier than most of these gram girls.

And that's even when they got the filters on.

Sometimes, I try to push her to these online modeling stuffs.

It takes nothing much other than videoing your face, smiling or eating and stuffs like that.

But she no go ever gree.

Even to snap na wahala. You'll need to practically force this girl to snap picture.

I've never seen anyone sooo pretty and yet so camera shy.

I think she could earn some money or gain some success from these platforms but I just can never convince her to try it.

OP posts are usually accompanied with correlating pictures of the subject for reference purposes.

You have someone who is willing to give you 5 million naira in this present economy and the person asks you to choose between using the money to sponsor your education in a PRIVATE university for 5 years or use the money to start up any business of your choice. Assuming you are in your early 20's say 20-23 and considering the current situation of things in Nigeria, which of these options would you pick and why?

What I have learned as a graduate in Nigeria, I have said it countless times that if I had the chance to start life all over again, I will make money first before I talk of school.

Yes! You can attend higher institution at any time and age as long as there is money!

Just have the basic education and you are good to go!

In a nutshell, use that 5m to start a good business if you have any in mind but if you don't know of any good business, then schooling is your best bet!

I watched a food blogger fry her eggs with unrefined Shea butter, and it looked really nice and golden, then I thought to myself this actually isn't such a bad idea, after all Shea butter is gotten from Shea nuts, rich in nutrients, and is bound to be healthy, since it melts at body temperature. Hmm! πŸ€”

I dare say it can even give butter (animal fat) a run for its money. 😌
Shea butter should even be considered edible first, before any other use.

If I could get freshly made food grade Shea butter, I'd be very willing to try it.

Can you cook your meals with Shea butter?
Would you be willing to eat a meal cooked with Shea butter?

Pictures' source: Google.

The smell from ordinary shea butter sef is enough to make me puke talk more of cooking with it, na suicide be that one ooh!

Thank God for Jimpo Ori for coming through with the perfumed Ori with a fine smell that can comfortably pass for air freshener πŸ˜€

My husband don't want us to return to his state because he is enjoying this woman's kpomo in Cross River State.

What part of Cross River please?

Because, I'm a Cross Riverian Realtor based in Lagos with the hope of relocating back withy family this year but still finding it difficult because of lack of prospects in the state.

However, if it were to be for good for, I don't think any State in Nigeria would come an inch close to Cross River! 😁🀫πŸ€ͺ

What we have in Lagos is tasteless junks garnished with diets and dust!
No yam, no garri, no plantain, no banana, no palm oil, no roasted plantain (what they eat here is dry plantain and groundnut, even prisoners deserve better.. mtcheeww), no water, to mention but a few😁

Romance / Re: No Matter How Deep You Love A Lady, Never Do These Five Things For Her by JayPeeOham: 12:11pm On Feb 27
kmaster007:
There are some certain things you should never do for a woman no matter how much you love her, all in the name of pleasing her.

As a man, you have the responsibility to make your woman happy but there should be limit. You have an ego to defend as a man and you should not let a woman ruin it or take advantage of you simply because you love her. Below are 5 things you must never do to please a woman;

1.) Pay Her School Fees

Unless she is your wife, never pay for a woman’s education. It is okay to help her and support her when she is in school but paying everything for her is a NO. If you feel compelled to do it. However, do not assume that she will forever be indebted to you. People change and she might as well choose to love someone else even after all your efforts.

2.) Forget Your Dreams For Her

Before you met her, remember you had your own dreams and aspirations. Do not stop chasing them just because she does not like what you do. If you wanted go study abroad, the last thing you want to do is change your mind because she is not comfortable with it. If she cannot wait, let her be but never stop pursuing your dreams to please a woman.

3.) Commit a Crime For Her

If you cannot sustain her flashy lifestyle, do not steal or do something stupid just to please her. If she loves you for real, she will understand when you are broke and will not pressure you to sort out her financial matters.

4.) Never Disrespect Your Family

Women can be so manipulative especially when they know you love them for sure and you can do anything to have them stay. Some will try to show you how bad your family members are and draw you further from them. If she ever leaves you, the only people you will have behind you is your family. So, never cut your family ties to make a girl happy.

5.) Compromise Your Needs For Hers

Unless it’s really necessary, you should be a little bit selfish with yourself. You cannot afford to go hungry so that you can send her money to buy food. You can maybe share the little you have but never sacrifice all you got just to make her happy.

Oga, you won't even know when you do all the aforementioned by the time you fall in love.

The problem now is that most people especially men tend to fall in love with their head and not the heart.

No thanks to their first love who disappointed them or broke their hearts.

The truth is if you haven't loved to the point where people around you call you foolish then it's not love but like.

Love is indeed blind to so many things including the 5 you listed up there.

By the way sorry for having your heart broken by the one you once loved!
You are officially welcome to the club πŸ€—πŸ˜

The price increase nor be small. Before it would have been less than N3000. And during Jonathan time N1200 at most

With the way things are going it’s unsustainable.

The life and living condition of a middle class is no longer sustainable. So many people will bankrupt and cant pay rent. Alot of people will go to village from the city. Imagine I have to eat this every night and in a month? Only dinner o, and On which income?

That fish alone should be 4,000.
