joywendy: lol. Really? Okay no problem. Mmm...You are kinda of right. So I take back my words ![]() Jay do you till have that link on lucas chess? I want to redownload it pls, something kinda happened to the one I download beforeYes I do. Find it here https://code.google.com/p/lucaschess/ Go to the left side of the screen and click on downloads. You will be directed to another page where you will see InsLucasChess808.exe and LucasChessPortable.exe You can download either of them. I would have posted the direct link here but I suspect that if I do, the spambot will get me. |
InesQor: @Jayriginal please let me know your chess.com username once you have registered so I can add you up.Certainly. My username will almost certainly be jayriginal. One question though. Do you have any experience with the chess.com mobile app? Does it lag or something? |
joywendy: @jayriginal you are welcome.I used to think that I was on chess.com Apparently Im not. I will find time and open an account soon and maybe download the app on my phone. As for the first guy, he really isnt a fish. I think he was just playing too quickly. |
chessguru: hey, jay nice games... Sorry i no fit form analysis for now......Thanks bro |
Thanks to the mods for releasing the third game. |
InesQor: We should hook up for a game on chess.com one of these daysWe should! |
lynpetra: My mom did that for me and she is still alive TV01: Hygenic? who cares? You guys are awesome! |
Well I got banned again for posting the third game. Im not sure what to do anymore. The mods on this section either dont exist or they are incompetent. I have been mailing them to release my post and nothing has been done about it. |
BraveGuy: Have you ever checked back in HISTORY of the predictions of Jesus' life and ministry that He would be rejected and crucified?Have you ever checked the prophecies concerning Harry Potter and Voldermort? You are just proving that you know so little to base your judgements/decisions in ignorance! |
Weah96: You're not convinced about anything otherwise you wouldn't be here on behalf of an all powerful authority. Are you a spokesperson for the Hebrew God? Do you know that Jews do not believe in hellfire? Why are you here bothering Africans when Jesus's own chosen people don't believe in him or hellfire? What did your research say about that?Ask him if he follows the prescription in James 5: !4-16 14 Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:Or he takes medicine. |
Image123: And how is this equal to a pastor telling a patient to stop medication? Help me to understand. You would if you could. |
texanomaly: Well you can daresay anything you want, I suppose.Except in this case, I am stating the obvious and your reply does nothing to counter it. ![]() |
texanomaly: A pastor who does this is irresponsible. And any member that's listens to him has left there common sense at home.James 5:14-16 14 Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: 15 And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. 16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. Yes, the Pastor is irresponsible considering this ![]() 2nd Tim 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness. I fail to see any ambiguity. I daresay you dont believe in God! |
joywendy, the third game. Hopefully the bot wont hide it this time. There is a 4th and final game but its not worth showing because the guy was a novice and the game was over in 16 moves. I ended up with the individual gold medal while my team had silver. |
joywendy: a much better opponent compared to the other game, started well. Strong defense and it was his weak point. He was just defending not attacking, I guess he's a strong believer of the saying 'a strong defense is the best form of attack'. Not in every case like this one for example, he had a free piece! If he taken that piece he won't have had the problem he faced towards the ending. He is very poor at attacking, poor foresight. He tried sha, he gave you a bit of a tough time I can see from the begining. He would have had you, just that one blunder ruined things and gave u an upper edge. But mehn that stunt you tried in that 14th move, Best part of the game for meThis guy is a better player. However when he met my first opponent, I think he won a piece. My first opponent is a very stubborn player (to the point of irritation) and played on until this second guy blundered and lost the game. What free piece? All he had was a free pawn (after my 8th move) which if he had taken might have probably turned the game around because of the psychological effect of making an unnecessary blunder. About the 14th move, before then, I had actually wanted to capture on the 13th move with Ncxd4 but I was worried about my opponent playing 14 Bf5 and I wasnt sure how I could meet that comfortably. On the other hand, the pin didnt bother me too much because I could always break it. He didnt have the time or tempo to add pressure to the piece. He either removes the bishop or adds pressure. If he adds pressure, i take the bishop on f3. If he removes the bishop I could play Qb4 for example breaking the pin. Either way, I have an extra pawn. Theres a third game but the silly spambot banned me for posting it and hid the game. I wrote to the mods to release my post but they didnt. I will post it again and hope I dont get banned. |
joywendy: wow! Lovely game. So the guy resign? Lol!! Seriously it was quite obvious you were playing a fishKind words Joy. Thanks ![]() I must say though that he is not a fish (at least he's not such a bad player). However he seems to have one pattern of playing which I later discovered after seeing some of his games. King and rook mate never occurred to me during the game as his rook was still on the board. I doubt it would have been possible. In addition I was certain I could queen that passed pawn which in its lust to expand (Nimzowitsch) would tie down blacks pieces. My king had already infiltrated the black territory. Time controls were one hour per side. The dude was ahead on time for most of the game. It was only when he realised he was in trouble that he started using up more time. The game finished with roughly 23 minutes remaining on each side. You are right, the queen exchange only helped me not him. In fairness to him, the position was already bad for him and he was probably seeing ghosts on the board. |

joywendy, here is the first game as promised. Im White. White -- Jay Black (*******) [Event "?"] [Site "?"] [Date " ?.??.??"][Round "?"] [White "?"] [Black "?"] [Result "*"] 1. d4 g6 2. c4 Bg7 3. Nc3 d6 4. e4 Bd7 {I was nervous because I had not been in a competition in over 10 years and I had barely played over the board (OTB) in about the same time. I considered this move to be an inaccuracy. It would have been better for him to wait until I played my knight to f3 and then pin it with Bg4} 5. Nf3 Nf6 6. Bd3 O-O 7. O-O Re8 8. Re1 e5 {I was glad to see this move} 9. d5 c6 {finally he seems to have seen the problem associated with putting the bishop on d7. Now there is no good space for his Nb8. I decide to compound the problem with one more move} 10. h3 {Now both the Nb8 and the Bd7 are unhappy with their situation.} 10... cxd5 11. cxd5 h6 12. Be3 Qc8 {I thought for a while here. I imagined he was lining up for a sac on h3. It may not be particularly dangerous but I really didnt like the idea and I wasnt too sure of my calculations} 13. Kh2 Nh7 {with this, I imagined he was going to play ..f5} 14. Qc2 Qd8 {losing a move in my opinion} 15. Qd2 Ng5 {This was uncalled for. Now he loses a pawn.} 16. Nxg5 hxg5 17. Bxg5 f6 18. Bh6 Na6 19. Apatheist: Wikipedia.I did the math. As of 2013, world population is estimated at 7.174 billion by the United States Census Bureau (USCB) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_population 16 percent of that is one billion one hundred forty-seven million eight hundred forty thousand. That isnt billions, its just over a billion and thats assuming the stats are correct. You need at least two billion to make it billions. |
Apatheist: If it was self-evident, why are there billions of atheists and agnostics?Where did you get those figures? |
joywendy Hi, how are you? Nice to hear from you. Have you been practicing with the software? I have a competition coming up soon. Ill try and post my games when that happens. |
davidylan: this is a confused diatribe. Even Christ, when He was here, sought physical food when He was hungry. Just because you're a christian does not mean you should sit in a corner and expect angels to teach you mathematics rather than going to school. But if its in the bible that the angels should teach you mathematics, unless your school employs angels, you might as well comply with the bible (if you believe it). For instance James 5:14-16 14 Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: 15 And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. 16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. I see nothing about hospitals or physicians, yet when you are sick, you go to hospitals. Each time you are sick would be a glorious opportunity to put your faith in the word of God in action. |
Highpriests: Did I defraud you that you are calling me a fraud? No. Do you know the meaning of fraud?Yes. |
Highpriests: About High PriestYou are all this? You forgot to mention that you are a fraud. |
FOLYKAZE: I asked you to show me.See here. FOLYKAZE: There is jazz and I am an atheist. Spiritual atheist specifically. ![]() |
lurvy: Its very unfortunate that people who took an oath to save lives are now involved in politicking for ridiculous reasons!Think about what it means to be a doctor. All the hard work and reading, six years of medical school. Thats ok I guess for some. Others specialize, write further exams, attend courses and spend years before they become consultants. Thats a lot of work to become a consultant. A doctor is also a pharmacist, he is also a lab scientist, a nurse etc. Thats why they spend all those years in school. If any of the other health workers is not there, the doctor can function. It might be inconvenient but he does function. Have you ever wondered how doctors cope in rural areas? Anyone who wants to be a consultant is free to take jamb and go through the entire process. Then the person will be rightly indignant when a non doctor wants to be called a consultant in a hospital. Why do we Nigerians support taking shortcuts? The other health professionals are free to create a title for themselves and no one will drag it with them. |
FOLYKAZE: To mean knowing what an Orisha is and what they are depicted to be?Question: where you not on that thread where ghost offered a demonstration of "Yoruba Advanced Science"? Where you not supporting him? If you claim you just adhere to the religion that is one thing. To claim and/or support the claim that the practitioners of the religion have supernatural powers is another. |
FOLYKAZE: I asked you to show me.I would gladly do so if I were jobless enough to go scouring through all your posts. Be honest with yourself jare. And this is not even about you being a practitioner, I never said that. I said "claimed to have knowledge" or are you teaching what you dont know here? https://www.nairaland.com/1486568/plain-concept-eledumare-orisas-reality You and ghost are fans only. You issue challenges without certainty. |
texanomaly: Until I came to NL, I considered myself a Christian. ![]() |
FOLYKAZE: Where did I claim to have knowledge of Traditional religion? You havent? Really? ![]() |
folykaze and ghost, repeatedly on this forum you have claimed to have knowledge of traditional religion but it is becoming clear that you guys are no experts, you are merely fans. |

Just one more move and it would have been checkmate. Though I was lost at some point because of the lettering of the two bishops and knights but Anyways I love the game, so much better than the last. I'm learning some new things and tricks here.hehe
