Alfa Seltzer: I wanted to but I realised that most quotes are different forms of previous quotes made by other people and those to whom the quotes are usually attributed to are not usually the original quoters. I made it clear anyway in the op that the quotes are not mine. Most of them are known already.

I know they are not yours. That wasnt the point. The point is that if you are keeping a collection you ought to do the standard thing by including the people who made the quotes. Do that in most cases and in the ones you arent sure of, you can put anon

OP, I have faced what I thought was certain death. Not once did I think of anything resembling any kind of god. I was on the floor with a gun pointed to my head. I had no idea as to what would come next. Death didnt come but I was expecting it. Not everyone is the same. Some people will face that experience and probably get religious. Some wont.
