25Calibre: Look!! All these things you mentioned are nothing but nonsense and hokum, just like the placebo effect, they look like they work, but in actuality they don't. It's all on your head.

When a proper opposition encounter you with those things, you'd be made mince meat of. Haven't you stopped to ask yourself, if all those things work, why cant Nigeria use them to excel in sports competitions like boxing?

Ask peters the treatment he received from klitchko when he thought he could step into the ring with black magic and no training.
They will tell you juju no dey cross water

Uyi Iredia: So tell me, charities aside, when last have you seen people of all social strata donating for say a city hall, library, public wi-fi hotspot, emergency centres or research institutes. Been long. If it isn't it surely wasn't major if not it would be in the news and so be likely to reach me. If Christians do more of these things I would criticize opponents the same way I criticized simpletons who condemn the work Oyedepo did in the form of Covenant and Landmark universities. We spend so much on religious stuff and I fear it is to the detriment of other sectors of our common needs.
I read someone asking once "if everyone donated 10 percent of their income to research wouldnt the world be a better place?"

Well, I say yes and no. Maybe our present incurables would be eradicated but almost surely we would have a replacement for them.

FOLYKAZE: Sharaap Old man.

When I and ghostsparta raised a challenge in the religion section for testing this thing out, Non of you showed up except an atheist mazaje. Why are you scared of proving it now?

We have agreed to bring the video when the whole thing is done.

As per the bold, your greedy African ancestors were the one that sold your brothers out as slave. Blame the infiltration on your greedy ancestors.
Proving what? You expect me to take a gun and shoot someone knowing fully well I will harm him?

I dont care for that and since you cannot remember, I will remind you that I voiced my objection on that thread and suggested an animal be used for the test rather than a human being.

Get your facts and your head right.

Listen until this is proven conclusively, it is better to ignore these stories.

I have said it elsewhere on this forum and I will repeat it here. Most people that hold guns are not trained to do so. If you are not trained to fire a gun, then it is easy to miss even as big a target as a human being standing a few feet away from you.

Anyone who has ever visited a firing range or even fired a gun can tell you so. Therefore when an inexperienced marksman points and shoots, he is more likely to miss than not. Add to this the fact that very few people will stand and watch a person take aim at them and fire, then you have the makings of a legend.

It is well known that a moving target is harder to hit (taking into account that even a stationary target is difficult to hit for an amateur) and then you will realise the makings of the legend of "odechi".

In a situation where both the target and the marksman are both running, you think it is miraculous that the target is not hit?
Firing a gun entails more than holding the gun sideways. There is a proper stance to ensure the kickback does not throw off the aim. The trigger is squeezed, not pressed etc.

You only need to ask yourself how the white men overpowered our forefathers to realise that the so called bullet proof story is a myth.

ikeugbo: Religion does not stop me from doing this, my relationship with JESUS did a long time ago, previously I did and HE took it all away
Atheism too is man made concept as when we can not understand we make up that it doesn't exist. I have understood and I believe not only believe but experienced and willing to go deeper with CHRIST JESUS
The mind can not fathom or figure out GOD because HIS ways are past finding out so when we cant find it with our minds we have to believe in our hearts as when we believe then we see the facts and know that HE is HE was and HE is to come
Ok, religion doesnt stop you, its your relationship with Jesus that stops you?

Is this correct?
Christianity EtcRe: Is There Anything Like Atheism by jayriginal: 12:43pm On Aug 14, 2013
ikeugbo: There is no need of the story of a terrible human being, after all there would be no conscience to judge and no law to follow when I act unruly, maim or kill unless you guys are saying that atheism is a religion that doesn't want to accept other people's gods or GOD then they have their own god and believe in him then they believe there is a god or GOD somewhere. Laws stems from religion believing it was given to us by GOD or some gods according to others why follow a law when I am a god then you believe in what GOD said which most laws gets their origin from unless you want to state a country where their laws doesn't have anything to do with GOD or have its origin from GOD. JESUS is real so GOD is real
Kindly use paragraphs when you type. It makes you more legible.

So ikeugbo, is it not true that the only thing that stops you from doing these things is your religion?
Christianity EtcRe: Is There Anything Like Atheism by jayriginal: 12:03pm On Aug 14, 2013

I want to act unruly, kill maim, commit all forms of immoralities but I am scared of going to hell that is why I dont do these things. I am a terrible human being.

Well i can honestly say i did my best during my time as a mod to be fair and impartial and when i sensed injustice from a complaint from Christ Kid it was my effort to seal with it that lead to my removal. I just wonder if JeSoul was still around at the time how she would have dealt with it. Anyway its passed now and we have to move on. Thanks for your support guys. One love. wink

I think you should just let the matter rest. You are human and you certainly made mistakes but I think you should take a bow after all this.

You were not paid for your services but I think that the outpouring of support from Christians is priceless. It shows you did something right. The same Christians and Atheists that barely agree on anything united in your support.

Take solace in that and let Seun be.

Dont fan the flame because it can turn against you.

Mr Troll: grin Maybe you look guilty while saying it. Just say it like its the most natural thing.
Recently, i met one catholic girl and the question came up after the 3rd date though nothing don happen yet wink after i gave her the answer, she was like "hmmm, that means i'll stop taking to you o" and i'm like "ok." After about 30secs of awkward silence she just started talking again and the rest was history. . .
Don't feel compelled to proffer any explanation whatsoever. Goodluck next timewink
Nah. I dont look guilty neither do I feel compelled to do anything at all. Its just my ill luck that everyone wants to "save" me.

Mr Troll: There's one thing that always gives me personal joy. . .
When i meet a lady newly, we chat, she's impressed, we go out etc. Somewhere along the line THE QUESTION pops up: Which church do you attend? I simply say, None.
At first there's disbelief, then mild shock, then the suspicious looks and comment. . .
I almost thought I was Mr Troll then . . .

But after about 2 mins she 'conveniently' forgets my non-religious stance. Nowadays i just anticipate the question and then look out for the reactions. It never fails! cheesy its almost like you can see their brain turning when they finally make the decision to go with the flow. Afterall. . .wink
In my case its never forgotten and the air is now filled with the need to convert me, to show me the light. The same reaction each time. Its irritating.

Deep Sight: My Brothers always argue that Pac stands toe to toe with Fela and Bob Marley in depth of thought.

I always said that was disrespectful to Fela and Bob.

Not with "U claim to be a nigga and i f**cked your wife" and all that.

Nevertheless, he was young, very young still.

Obviously a profound mind at that age.
Indeed! He was 24 at the time of this interview.

You have to take other things into consideration. The environment he lived in surely has its own role to play in his output and much like Fela and Marley, he was a voice for his people.

Uyi Iredia: Lemme state what I think Tupac meant and I think. The concept of the Devil is to have a scapegoat to mock for evil in the world. In truth, both good and evil come from God.
Tupac comes off as a deist or the closest thing to it. He believes in God, but none of that "spooky" sh1t

I found a transcription for those who cannot use the link

Where do You stand On Religion?

I'm the religion that to me is the realist religion there is. I try to pray to God every night unless I pass out. I learned this in jail, I talked to every God there was in jail. I think that if you take one of the "O's" out of "Good" it's "God", if you add a " D " to "Evil", it's the "Devil". I think some cool motherfucker sat down a long time ago and said let's figure out a way to control motherfuckers. That's what they came up with-the bible. Cause if God wrote the bible, I'm sure there would have been a revised copy by now. Cause a lot of shit has changed. I've been looking for this revised copy-I still see that same old copy that we had from then. I'm not disrespecting anyone's religion, please forgive me if it comes off that way, I'm just stating my opinion.

The bible tells us that all these did this because they suffered so much that's what makes them special people. I got shot five times and I got crucified to the media. And I walked through with the thorns on and I had sh1t thrown on me and I had the thief at the top; I told that nigga "I'll be back for you. Trust me, its not supposed to be going down, I'll be back. I'm not saying I'm Jesus but I'm saying we go through that type of thing everyday. We don't part the Red Sea but we walk through the hood without getting shot. We don't turn water to wine but we turn dope fiends and dope heads into productive citizens of society. We turn words into money. What greater gift can there be. So I believe God blesses us, I believe God blesses those that hustle.

Those that use their minds and those that overall are righteous. I believe that everything you do bad comes back to you. So everything that I do that's bad, I'm going to suffer for it. But in my heart, I believe what I'm doing in my heart is right. So I feel like I'm going to heaven. I think heaven is just when you sleep, you sleep with a good conscience-you don't have nightmares. Hell is when you sleep, the last thing you see is all the bleeped up things you did in your life and you just see it over and over again, cause you don't burn. If that's the case, it's hell on earth cause bullets burn. There's people that got burned in fires, does that mean they went to hell already? All that is here. What do you got there that we ain't seen here? What, we're gonna walk around aimlessly like zombies? That's here! You ain't been on the streets lately? Heaven now, look! (referring to his plush apartment) we're sitting up here in the living room-big screen TV- this is heaven, for the moment. Hell is jail I seen that one. Trust me, this is what's real. And all that other sh1t is to control you.

If the churches took half the money that they was making and gave it back to the community, we'd be alright. If they took half the buildings that they use to "praise God" and gave it to motherfuckers who need God, we'd be alright. Have you seen some of these got damn churches lately? There's one's that take up the whole block in New York. There's homeless people out here. Why ain't God lettin' them stay there? Why these niggas got gold ceilings and sh1t? Why God need gold ceilings to talk to me? Why does God need colored windows to talk to me? Why God can't come where I'm at where he sent me? If God wanted to talk to me in a pretty spot like that, why the hell he send me here then. That makes ghetto kids not believe in God. Why? So that's wrong religion-I believe in God, I believe God puts us where ever we want to be at. They didn't make sense that God would put us in the ghetto. That means he wants us to work hard to get up out of here. That means he's testing us even more. That makes sense that if you're good in your heart, you're closer to God but if you're evil than your closer to the devil; that makes sense! I see that everyday all that other spooky shit, don't make sense.

I don't even believe, I'm not dissin' them but I don't believe in the brothers, I've been in jail with 'em and having conversations with brothers; "I'm God, I'm God." You God, open the gate for me. You know far the sun is and how far the moon is, how the hell do I pop this fuckin' gate? And get me free and up outta here. Then I'll be a Five Percenter for life.

You said Bill Gates performed miracle. do you mean microsoft? Hey scientific works are based on facts and not wishful thinking. So you aint different from others twisting the word of God to drive your own point across.
He was speaking figuratively. He doesnt mean Bill Gates does voodoo afterall a wise man once said "any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic". You know where the term "wiz" comes from dont you?
Christianity EtcRe: Was Jesus Really Poor???? by jayriginal: 2:55pm On Jun 22, 2013
okeyxyz: There's a difference between a gift for charity and a gift for favour(in Jesus's case). There's a saying that; "You do not visit a king with empty hands..". People who made these gifts to jesus were doing it as a way of soliciting favour from him, So he has earned the gifts by his clout as a teacher, a prophet and miracle worker. Even people who give bribes do so to gain favour from persons of with power and authority. wink
Actually if it was a gift for favour, I am pretty sure he would have refused those gifts, the same way he refused to perform miracles on demand (as a sign).

Jesus was definitely non-poor because he had the influence and "power" to make these people respect(fear??) him, such that they wanted to be on his good side. Thus the gifts. cool
Ah! I wanted to say this earlier but restrained myself.

Maybe he did. Maybe he used his "power" to make these people give him gifts grin

Give it up man no point in remixing this. We can all take liberties with bible passages. I could tell you that Peter didnt really cut off an ear in the literal sense but the ear represents the stony hearts of the pharisees, and Jesus healed the ear because he wanted the prophecy to be fulfilled etc

We can have a filled day coming up with these kind of shenanigans. Jesus was a wanderer, moving from place to place and relying on the charity of his audience.

Thats is all.
Christianity EtcRe: Was Jesus Really Poor???? by jayriginal: 2:21pm On Jun 22, 2013
okeyxyz: Does money fall from heaven? Surely everybody who's ever struck wealth has made it off other people.
Yes. However, most made it by earning that money. In other words, they were paid a fee for work done. Some sort of contractual arrangement anyway. I say most because I do not want to include those who made their wealth illegally.

Why should Jesus be the exception?? And I'd already conceded the word "charity" to you but it seems you are not satisfied with that. Do you have an agenda to accomplish? Perhaps you think the word "charity" is some form of crime or a derogatory term??
Its not a derogatory term. If you rely on charity or on the benevolence of others, you cannot call yourself non poor.

And poor is not a derogatory term either.

By work, I mean paid work. Something that you do and get paid for. You know what I mean so dont make me go further.

If he did not demand for money for whatever he was doing but people were offering him, then they were doing so on their own, not because they were obliged to. Does a non poor man (because you have not explicitly said he was rich) rely on other people to "use their mind" (since you dont like the term "charity" )?
