Christianity EtcRe: Trinitarian Disrespect For God by jayriginal: 11:21am On Jun 10, 2013
I just dont get you guys.

I suppose some trinitarian could come and "explain" away these things for you. You on the other hand see the whole trinity as ridiculous and wont accept the explanation.

To me, I dont see how you can accept some then excise the parts you dont like. Its all ridiculous; finish!

Logicboy03: If I were a supremem being, I wouldnt create humans in the first place. For what? To play with like toys? Is God lonely? If I had all the power in the world and knew everything. The whole universe would be boring to me.
Lol. There is this Dean Koontz book I read some years ago. I just cannot remember the name for now. The protagonist was a man with ESP powers and he was an investigator. One day on one of his assignments, he went into the mind of another person and found God. God was a child and this protagonist killed him and ate him and thus became God himself.

After becoming God, the woman he loved and respected became useless to him. He still thought she was beautiful but she was incredibly stupid to him and he had no interest in her. To solve this, he had to give her half of his "Godness" so that she could be on his level. Now they both reigned as Gods and they were amused when people set up different religions to worship them. After a few hundred years, they began to make nations war against each other for their entertainment.
Christianity EtcRe: Does This Man Have Supernatural Powers? by jayriginal(op): 8:33am On Jun 07, 2013
Purist: If only Nigerians knew the amount of efforts that go into these carefully planned tricks to make them believe in "miracles", "jazz", etc. In virtually all instances of faith healing and juju demonstrations, there are usually many players involved. In churches, the players include the supposedly "sick" person and their "distraught" families, alongside the pastor and his aides, of course. For the juju men, especially those that exhibit publicly, the players often include "random" members of the crowd and "innocent" passersby. I sincerely hope we'll wake up some day.
Well they say that there are non so blind as those who refuse to see. Our juju men are not even as adept at sleight of hand as they could be. They rely mostly on psychological manipulation of the superstitious mind.

Christianity EtcRe: Does God Really Answer Prayers? by jayriginal: 12:37am On Jun 06, 2013
Frank, I have read your posts in the past but this is the first time I am replying you. I believe a loved one of yours passed a while ago, so let me extend my condolences.

Now, having read your opening post and with the background I have on you, its clear you are a deist or something like it even if you havent admitted to yourself.
Does "God" answer prayers? The answer is there is no evidence to confirm the affirmative. Anyone can do a control test and pray to a samsung phone (must be a quadcore I think) and get their prayers answered at the same rate.

If you can, please watch this link featuring George Carlin.

A non detectable god is for all intents and purposes a non existent god.

Succinct.
Christianity EtcRe: What They Don't Tell You About Atheism by jayriginal: 12:19am On Jun 04, 2013
1. Atheism is supposed to be the lack of a belief in deity (God) rather it is the convenient denial of God so as to go against conscience commit as many crimes one can get away with.

2. Atheism has no moral code or guidelines i.e. does not define good and evil hence serial rapists, serial killers, pedophiles, fraudsters are all justified as atheists.

3. The world's most hideous mass murderers were atheists namely Hitler and Stalin

4. For a group of people who don't believe in God, they go a long way to try and force this non-belief on others who don't share it and will even resort to name-calling and violence in some cases. It seems to me that they do this so as to constantly convince themselves that there is no God even though their consciences and their souls protest (heck they even deny the soul)

5. Atheists will always misuse science by quoting so called "scientific facts" as if they were some infallible creed (deliberately forgetting that fallibility is in fact the nature of science)

6. Atheists simply do not have any morals and they are quite comfortable attacking those with morals by calling them intolerant brainwashed fanatic bigots because it gives them some sort of a superiority complex.

7. Though they often claim to be logical, they mostly fail to provide logical arguments rather they resort to over-simplistic lines, quoting theists out of context and plain old mockery.

8. My question to Atheists; Justify your belief. Can you prove to me with 100% certainty that there is no God?
Laughable at best. The damage that was done by christians was done with crude weapons and instruments and see how much blood they shed despite the limitations. Imagine if they had modern weapons, nukes and em. And did you call Hitler an atheist? Did you really?

PS its Bertrand not Bertram

FOLYKAZE: If I tell someone I can swim, is my life not risk if I proceed to do it? I might lose control in the water or a big fish attack me.
Sure, except we can have a lifeguard in the pool or river to prevent you drowning just in case you really cant swim.
Christianity EtcRe: What Are Your Views On Supernatural Occurrences? by jayriginal: 12:33am On May 26, 2013
FOLYKAZE: thanks bro. I understand your point clearly. That option of yours will be decided by Mazaje. But if he want to proceed with the shooting at this guy, I am ready for this. Nothing to scare of. We both agree on the police statement and doctors on ground. Afterall, he is not shooting his head?
At the end of the day, you say you have seen but you dont understand how it works yet you vouch for it. Seems contradictory to me.
Anyway, investigation is always good, but if it is possible to avoid harm, we should walk that path.

Ghostofsparta's challenge is there, besides folykaze is an atheist, so it's obviously gonna be fixed
Im not sure you understand Folykaze quite well. An atheist he may be but he holds that this thing works. Plus there are provisions for observers.

My point in all this isnt even the fixing, its that there is almost certainly a single clear outcome. Someone will get hurt. Left to me, I dont think this event will hold at all and I have my reasons for saying so. Just in case I am wrong, I wish to register my objection (as little as it may count for ).

That is all.

How have you been? I just say make I hail. E no easy. I like your passion for this.
Christianity EtcRe: What Are Your Views On Supernatural Occurrences? by jayriginal: 11:45pm On May 25, 2013
Purist(my bro), Mazaje and Folykaze, permit me to be blunt.

I think it is folly of the highest order to go through with this. This is primarily because someone is going to get hurt. In fact, I do not think anyone will really go through with it, but I seek to register my objection in case I am wrong.

Now, there are other ways to test this so called bullet proof. Some inanimate object can be used and observed after the event. No human will be harmed.
Even the James Randi challenge will not accept proof that involves serious bodily harm.

If there is an impasse, the ghostofsparta's challenge is there. That involves no harm to a human and can be investigated. As long as it doesnt involve sugar in the tank or other cheap shenanigans, it should be easy to see through.

Christianity EtcRe: About Abortion. by jayriginal: 8:21pm On May 17, 2013
Mr anony: Neither is it the mother's body
Look you have obviously never heard of the "rhesus factor".

Its all good to sit and fantasize about philosophy but in the end, hard facts win against suppositions, no matter how cleverly expressed.
Indeed it is the mothers body.

I suggest you read about the rhesus factor and how a mothers immune system can self abort a fetus because it sees it as a foreign body.

Logicboy03: 2) If abortion is murder, God is the best murderer since natural abortion is the most common abortion. Simple one dimensional silliness
OLAADEGBU: I thought anony gave the right response when he said the "lesser of two evils", but what is the chance of that happening in all the abortions being committed? You cannot hide under the excuse of rare events such as the "life of the mother" to commit murder at will.
Ah,so "murder" can be justified afterall. Or did I read that wrong? Lets see.

Logicboy03: Smh......I tire for this Anonynizing nonsense.....truly and truly, I see arguing with you as a waste of time nowadays.
4) What if the mother is in danger and will die if the pregnancy carries on?
Mr anony: I thought you missed me cry cry
Then it is a case of choosing the lesser of two evils.
Nope, seems I got the number the first time. SMH. Brings me back to my first statement to Frosbel and Anony

jayriginal: Remember, both of you have said that abortion is murder. Then there really should be no need to ask if it is ok to murder a three headed, 7 legged and one handed fetus.

The minute any of you says its ok, then it means you dont know what you are talking about because you have both earlier declared it to be murder.
Logicboy03: Abortion is murder
Natural abortions happen
God is a murder because he made abortion to be natural.

Sal C: Why did you choose 12 hours? Does this 12 hours has any particular significance as regard this topic?
Try to think of it this way. At what time in the reproductive and fertilization process can you call the product a human being?
Christianity EtcRe: About Abortion. by jayriginal: 11:52am On May 16, 2013
Frosbel, you asked the question and I hope you wont shirk from giving an answer yourself (I can see Anony has tried to artfully dodge the question).

Remember, both of you have said that abortion is murder. Then there really should be no need to ask if it is ok to murder a three headed, 7 legged and one handed fetus.

The minute any of you says its ok, then it means you dont know what you are talking about because you have both earlier declared it to be murder. By the way Anony, murder is not the "indiscriminate" killing of another human being.

Im waiting to see if anyone will go to such ridiculous lows as saying using a condom is murder.
