Since the 2nd era of democracy in Nigeria, it has been nothing but the priviledged few who have been taking advantage of the clueless majority of Nigerians to enjoy the benefits of being a citizen of Nigeria. They come together, cook up propaganda, and sell it to us and without proper scrutiny we most of the times just go along with it. Well its obviously high time we started thinking for ourselves instead of allowing the same group of people ranging from pdp to the apc political party to do it for us
Every Nigerian will definitely appreciate a change in the way things are done in this country, in the way the international society sees us and above all in the way we ourselves percieve the notion of being a Nigerian, but the truth is that this change is something we Nigerians have to seek for ourselves. Anywhere in the world where there has been a significant change in the way things are done, that change has always been seeked out by the citizens of that country. In other words we have a choice of continue to dance to the tune that has been and is still being played by the acclaimed political elite of Nigeria or we decide to have a say in the way things are done.
There are a total of 14 presidential candidates of which the most prominent are the PDP and the APC party respectively. While the rest are suppose to either be a source of distraction or a mirage to serve as a way to reduce the votes of the prominent parties they are loyal to.
A wise man once said if u do not like the way your table is set, then change it, so it suits u. Its time we come together and change the settings of this country so it suits us. If we truly seek change, if we truly want to look into the future and be glad that our genaration unborn will be grateful to us, then its time we started looking past what we are being presented with. It is time we looked beyond the shores of the PDP and the APC political party cos with the former, we will just be toeing a path that has been set for us without ever being sure that we could get a better offer and while with the other we would just be a country that is content with Recycling.
It is time we the citizens of this country turn this set table against the political elite to suit us.
