The theme for the September Issue shoot shows Toke Makinwa in a slum neighborhood. In one of the photos, the popular Radio and Tv personality is seen standing in the midst of poor looking kids.

This photo in particular has led to a public outcry on social media as many see Toke Makinwa promoting the notion that Africa is filled with poor communities. Another view says Toke looks like a goddess to the children in the photo that only shows two kids out of the whole lot smiling..

Veteran Nollywood star, Kayode Odumosu, popularly known as Pa Kasunmu has added salt to his injury by misplacing his international passport which he needs for his treatment in India as he has been battling a heart related ailment for some years now.

Tho funds have been an issue, there was a time he was able to raise some certain amounts with much difficulty which he used to travel to India for treatments.

However it was revealed that his first travelling was just for evaluation while a second appointment was given to him.

According to the actor, he could not meet up with the second appointment as he couldn’t find his passport and that of the nurse who accompanied him the first time.

Inadequate fund was also an excuse as he couldn’t raise funds to finance his trip to India and that of the nurse accompanying him.

He said: “I spent just nine days in India. I thought that I would receive full treatment. But when I had got there, they told me that it was for evaluation. Then they asked me to come back after two months. After I had recovered from the illness, I started thinking about how to get funds for my second journey to India. But I couldn’t find my international passport and that of the nurse that accompanied me on the first trip,” 

The actors health has started deteriorating again to such level that his colleagues and family have started looking for means to send him back, on his second journey for complete treatment.

Barely a year after his marriage to his US based doctor wife, Chidi Mokeme got called out by his Abuja based socialite lover who claimed to have delivered a baby for him.

Chidi disowned his love child when his alleged babymama, Hajia Habiba Abubakar exposed him to media as the father of her baby. An insider who spoke to media revealed how his wife Jean Olumba Mokeme, has been causing him great stress, “He rarely make friends, so nobody knows what is happening with him but a friend in the us told me his wife is giving him trouble” – the source added

On why the actor is losing weight rapidly, the source said it may be connected to his marriage problem or stress from his baby mama.

Ever since he got married to his wife on April 2012 they have been living apart and when he was asked the reason for this, Chidi told Yes Magazine;

Our default setting was that I live in Nigeria and my wife lives in America and then we started a relationship and decided to take the relationship further and decided we were gonna be man and wife. So, having taken that decision and having crossed that level, the next thing is to find a way to ease into a location.

“Everybody knows that you don’t just pack your bag and move in one day. There are things that need to be sorted, relocation needs to be sorted. So, we are taking our time with it."

Pop star, Kiss Daniel who recently bagged major awards at the Nigeria Entertainment Award in New York, continued his winning streak in far away Europe over the weekend.

The ‘Woju’ singer, who is currently on the first leg of his 2016 European Tour, won the Artiste of the Year award at the just concluded Nollywood Europe Golden Awards (NEGA) which took place on Saturday, September 10, 2016 in Frankfurt, Germany.

The award ceremony which was organised by Ehizoya Golden Entertainment made the 'Jombo' singer's day when his label mates at G-Worldwide Entertainment also smiled home with awards.

While his manager, Louiza Williams won Best Artiste Manager of the Year, his label boss, Festus Ehimare a.k.a Emperor Geezy won Best Record Label Executive.

Kiss Daniel has since continued his European Tour, with lined up performances in major cities like Frankfurt in Germany and Italian cities Reggio Emillia and Naples, from where he will move onto major cities in Sweden and Denmark.

Popular US rapper, Kanye West has given up hope on Dbanj making a hit track in the 5years he has been signed under his record label - G.O.O.D Music recently released an updated list of its members on their official twitter page, and Dbanj was missing.

After Kanye signed up Tyga and Migos to his label, popular radio station, Power 106FM released a list of the artistes in the label which consisted of 18 different music acts. However to correct the impression about their music staffs, the official twitter account of G.O.O.D Music released an updated list that only featured 9 artistes..

The list was made up of the label’s president Kanye, Pusha T, Big Sean, John Legend, Teyana Taylor, Designer, and newly signed rapper, Tyga.

Nigerian pop star D'banj, supposedly signed act, Migos and a host of others were missing from the new list which has led to suspicion that he has been let off by the popular record label affiliated to Tidal boss, Jay Z.

D’banj was signed to GOOD music in 2011 and throughout his time with the label, he failed to release an album. He was only featured in the label’s compilation album Cruel Summer in 2012 and also made a cameo in Kanye’s Mercy which he was mocked for by Nigerians.

In an interview with TNS nigeria, Canada-based writer Jude Idada accused Nollywood producer, director and actor, Omoni Oboli of copying his script for her new film, Okafor’s Law which is set to make its world debut at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF).

In the audio interview, he said that Omoni’s 2014 Being Mrs Elliot is also an idea she lifted directly from him without giving him due credit.

According to him, he sent her the first 50 scenes but she later changed her mind saying they found a better script only for him to watch his own movie's premiere in Paris in 2014.

In Okafor’s Law, he said despite the contract he had them(Omoni and her husband Nnamdi Oboli) sign, they refused to pay him the agreed N750,000 or even give him credit.

He won't be suing her because he doesn't want to taint her record. He only wants Nigerians to hear his own side of the story.

Popular controversial Ghanaian Pastor, has a word of ‘advice’ for ladies. The founder of the Heaven Gate Ministry, Prophet Nicholas Osei aka Kumchaha, has dropped a very complicated advice from a pastor to women in relationships.

The economic situation of this country right now is very terrible. The hardship is telling on everything in the country. A lot of things have gone up in terms of prices. Then, no electricity, fuel is very expensive and more.

A lot of things have gone bad and that’s really affecting our industry. When there is no power supply, how do you expect those that buy our movies to see such movies? So, it’s not encouraging at all.

Also, piracy has eaten so deep into the system, may be because people don’t have jobs and they’re just looking for other means to survive at all costs. And in the cause of that, they pirate other people’s intellectual property. A lot is going on in Nigerian movie industry. We’re just praying the situation gets better. I particularly have confidence in this administration and believe Buhari will deliver as he promised.

Mavin Boss, Don Jazzy has admitted to the fact that he indeed called for the breakup of the now defunct Mo'hits group.

D'banj his former partner had previously revealed in an interview with Olisa that it was Don Jazzy who wanted them to split, which led to the creation of DRB and the now popular Mavin Record.

The popular producer while clearing the air that other people caused their split, in an interview with NotJustOk Tv, said Dr Sid could never have led to the breakup with D'banj. He said they were too close for anybody to come between them. Don Jazzy even went on to dare the reporters to ask Dbanj if anybody could have come between their friendship.
