Pop star, Davido took to social media to heap praises on his father Dr Adeleke after the graduation ceremony at his school, Adeleke University. In a post, Davido said that over 200 students graduated from the school with more than half of them under scholarship.

The singer was on set with popular actress Mercy Johnson alongside Kanayo O Kanayo and Queen Nwokoye.

TripleMG star, Iyanya has come out to slam reports that he has been having issues with his friend and business partner, Ubi Franklin for marrying popular Nollywood actress, Lilian Esoro.

Rumors of rift between Iyanya and Ubi started circulating on the net after the "Kurukere" singer announced that he will be launching his own record label soon. Many saw this as a power move and assumed that Iyanya was about to dump TripleMG. Ubi in a chat with YNaija however debunked all claims that Iyanya was leaving the record label they both built together from the scratch.

Moments after Iyanya's new label announcement, media giant, PulseNG released a controversial story stating that Iyanya and Ubi have been hiding their rift from public but that the singer could not take it anymore after he discovered that Ubi was mismanaging finances of their business. Pulse also mentioned that Iyanya was not happy with the Union between Ubi and Lilian.

The Calabar born act took to his social media page to blast the report which he refers to as "Lies", claiming that he is not fighting with Ubi or his wife, Lilian, cause she is a good woman and knows how to cook.

So Nigerian media should not come and spoil where he gets his free Lunch with "Lies".

Veteran Disc Jockey, Jimmy Jatt has come out to lash out and enlighten naija music artistes that spend huge amount of money to feature foreign acts, and still don't get international recognition.


Tho there was no name dropping(except the Wizkid part), Jimmy in a brief chat with HipTV, said that popular Nigerian music acts who feature foreign artistes in their songs help in promoting the foreigners in Nigeria, using their own already made brand as a platform to make Nigerians listen to other songs of the international artiste.

The ace DJ added that this publicity tho, doesn't work both ways, cause most of the international acts(who are more popular in their terrain), that feature in Nigerian songs don't go back to their country and promote the song.

Jimmy claims that even Nigerian artistes who feature in songs with fellow African artiste don't come back to promote the songs in Nigeria, so they shouldn't be surprised when international acts more popular than them, don't promote the songs in their own country.

He however said that Wizkid's recent collaboration with Drake was an exception since it featured in the 'Views' album.

The veteran DJ claims that Drake has successfully helped boost Wizkid's brand to the world by promoting their hit track "One Dance" worldwide.

Ace Nollywood Producer Kunle Afolayan is on his knees begging pirates to allow him reap his dividend from his mind-blowing movie, The CEO, that was premiered at Eko Hotel & Suites on Sunday.

He had to borrow a loan of N50 million to repay to ensure that the movie was a success. Now that the movie was ready, it is time to recoup the investment if only pirates will allow him.

Kunle had gotten the loan from Bank of Industry, along with sponsorship from many organizations and he has been given 13 months to settle the debt.

The event was attended by movie stars, minister of information and culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed who was accompanied by his wife, and Steve Ayorinde, the commissioner for information and strategy in Lagos. Kunle said “"I borrowed N50million from Bank of Industry to produce this film," said Afolayan. "Please do not pirate the film. I beg you o. I need to pay back the money.  I think I have 13 months left. Please help o"

His other  Awards winning movie "October 1," cost about 2million dollars as well. “I can’t really lay my hands on how much I really made from the movie. I guess I made quite a lot but can’t say precisely."

Media reports have it that popular Nollywood actor and Africa Magic Viewer’s Choice Award (AMVCA) winner, Daniel K Daniel is in a sizzling romance with the widow of late broadcaster, Charles Bruce Chukwuma popularly known as Chaz B.


According to a Nigerian blogger Kemi Ashefon, she gathered that the widow Chichi who is in her 40s is allegedly having a sizzling romance with Daniel K Daniel (who is in his 30s), as they have been sighted together for a while. She revealed that they were seen together on Valentine’s Day in Ghana with Chichi’s daughter Monalisa.


However, Chichi’s dream of re-marrying another celebrity hit the rocks as the young actor’s mother didn’t approve of the relationship. Moreover, Chichi’s brother is up in arms against DKD (as fondly called by friemds). After their Ghana trip, the angry brother was said to have confronted the actor, who was sleeping in his sister’s house in Lekki, Lagos. He threatened beating him up if he ever came to the house again.


Recently, DKD posted a picture on his Facebook fans page and his fans commended it. But one of them talked about the toys at the background saying, “I can see Monalisa at the background,” which obviously states that DKD called still goes to Chaz B’s widow’s house despite the threats issued by her brother.


However, family sources told the blogger that Chichi has not been on good terms with the family since her husband’s death. Though they commended her kind gesture of donating one of her kidneys to late Chaz B, they are angry that she didn’t deem it fit to share the late broadcaster’s money with his other five children who were born to him by two other women.


The person disclosed that: “There was a time a Telecoms company sponsoring Chaz B’s programme paid millions of money to her account. Though she shared it to other children, it was what she felt they deserved that she gave them. Even Chaz B’s mother is angry. Chichi has been enjoying everything alone and left other kids in the cold. Though they are abroad and doing well, that is not enough reason to shut them out of their father’s estate.”

Nollywood actress Toyin Aimakhu has reacted to the recent controversies trailing her ex-husband, Adeniyi Johnson, who was accused of abandoning his babymama and daughter in Ijebu. The post also threatened the actor with death if he didn't come out to reveal the truth.

Another twist in the tale claims that Niyi's ex wife, Toyin Aimakhu is responsible for the comments, stating that the actress is only being jealous of Niyi's new bae.

Popular singer, Timi Dakolo has reacted to the reports currently trending online that he took advantage of Majek Fashek ill health to jack his hit track, "Send Down The Rain".

In a mind blowing interview with PunchNG, Majek said;


“He broke the rules of copyright. He is a thief because in music business, he must take permission before he works on someone’s song. That is why we have COSON. I did not give anyone the right to do anything with my song. I have a management team I work with headed by Omenka Uzoma.

Dakolo never bothered to look for me before stealing my song. He has infringed on the laws of copyright and he is not an original artiste. It is only people like Tuface, Wizkid, Olamide that are original. I felt bad when I learnt that he worked on my song without my consent.

He did not even give me credit. He is a very bad artiste and he took advantage of the circumstance that I was facing during that time. The song is not a normal song; it is a spiritual hit song. Timi Dakolo does not know how I suffered to get that song. I fasted for seven days before I got that song.

I partook in three days ‘white’ fasting before the song came to me. Timi Dakolo did not go through that. I did not fight him because I do not have time. Let God judge us.”

DJ Obi who happens to be the son of late Dr. Levi Chibuike Ajuonuma, former Group General Manager, Public Affairs Division of NNPC, started out on Wednesday, June 22nd, 2016 at 11:30pm in Lagos and broke the record around 7:00am, this morning, July 1st, 2016.
