Female characters are the hardest to write in media.

Many writers struggle in writing female characters. Females are generally too emotional so they can easily become very annoying to watch in some media.

There is also the issue of strength.

She could easily turn into a Mary Sue who has no weaknesses...
If you write her weaker, she could easily become a damsel in distress

Most writers have to find a balance...but it's easier said than done. They don't have to worry as much when writing a male character.

Some writers avoid the stress by turning all female characters into fan service who exist soley to please the men...their entire personality is watered down to their sèxual role or love interest.

Some action stories simply relegate female characters to support roles so it doesn't lead to power scaling problems e.g Baki

Some other stories just avoid female characters in general e.g Kaiji

Even females struggle to write proper female characters in movies/series.
It is extremely hard to properly write a female-led action movie/series


Females get too much wahala in real life and in media

Hollywood has been bereft of new ideas probably since its inception.Too many concepts copied from other sources.The industry does know how to package,market and sell its remixed product though.
Tenet reminds one of Memento 1999 which reminds one of The Parallax View 1974.
The Matrix 1999 reminds one of Blade 1998,Dark City 1998,eXistenZ 1998,Ghost In The Shell 1995 and Strange Days 1995.
I have not watched Predestination yet but its concept will surely be copied from/based on a different source.

I've seen the first 3 episodes and I've heard each episode is mostly filler content.

Why add fillers when the source material has been completed years ago?

The deal Roderick and the sister made with Verna was that, They can have all the money they want, but the day they die, the rest of the Usher bloodline is wiped out with them. Now whilst the granddaughter didn't really do anything or have any bad habits per say, she is a bloodline of the Usher, hence, besides it's in the Bible i think, "The iniquities of the father will be passed down even to the 3rd and 4th generations".


As for the Verna been real or not, like i have stated in my previous post, Mike Flanagan will explicitly not call a "Spade, a Spade" in It's works and open certain elements of them to debate, so if you y'all think she was real, it is okay and there are points that allude to the fact.

The Fall of the House Usher

Breathtaking isn't enough to describe this series. I'm someone who detest shows which all episodes are releases at once, I prefer one episode/week cos I usually get tired especially when some of the episodes are not that interesting and to kick start again is always an issue except there isn't any other show to watch before I return but

The Fall of the House of Usher had me hooked. Started it last night, I was almost having spasm cos my body wanted me to sleep but I was refusing, to be obey eventually. Started it this morning amidst other things just finished it right now.

If there was a way a series should be made, this is the way in my opinion. There were so many screenshot worthy statements/lines that really hit home. I have never rewatched any series apart from AOT but if I wanted to choose, I'd choose this show, its that engaging for me.

The theme of the show is so wonderfully set in how where does facts/logic end and where does spiritually and the supernatural begins or should I say where does both merge or meet.

So many things were blended into this show to make it effortlessly one of my top shows this year, eg hollow earth theory, consumerism, the supernatural/spiritual, consequences, perhaps a peak into the lives of the extremely wealthy cos some larger than life families had their names called in this show from the Gettys to Rockefeller.

Omo this show burst my brain abeg.

Every character played their role expertly, I was initially against Froderick character but by the time his part was concluded I understood why he was the way he was.

I'm not someone to give long eulogy about shows but damn, this show was well made.

Rating: 10/10.

Zidane really fvcked Madrid over with his player recruitment and favoritism for his preferred 'french' players. Hazard was the worst of the lot, with Mendy not too far behind. The bald idiot almost forced Vini out of madrid.

Only redeeming factor were the CLs he won.
