Hi Guys! its been a minute. I actually should have done this since the 19th of November when PPR dropped but life has happened to me since then and i have been mad busy. I also had second thoughts of whether i should share since its been so long but i decided to drop the gist jare.. Guys!!!! Its PPR.... Hehehehehe. Please enjoy my PPR story and i hope and pray that at each step on this journey that we take we will experience favor and speed. XOXO We have Moved# PPR Story: Timeline Heard about the EE process long long long ago, bestie started processing hers in November 2017. WES – January 2019, completed April 16th, 2019 1st IELTS (Academics) – LRWS – 8.5,7.5,7.5,8 (wanted to pursue a PHD In the US) 1st IELTS (GT) – LRWS – 8.5, 8.5,6.5,8 BC remark came back unchanged 2nd IELTS (GT) – LRWS – 8.5, 9,7,7 CRS – 459 ITA – May 1st AOR – May 16th NOC- 1122 Medical passed – June 25th, Biometrics done – June 28th The wait… GCMS request – August 15th Ghost Update: November 19th PPR Mail – November 20th Dear Immi-diary, I am/was in the office, today the 22nd of July and I haven’t received any update on my CIC profile, but I decided to write this well, because its been a slow day at work and I m trusting God for speedy PPR. Decision to travel Honestly, I thought that I would marry a certain gentleman who went to the US to study and had remained there. Marriage to him would have meant I would relocate to Trump land. Well, that hasn’t happened seeing that we re still both single (oh update 19th November – He is seeing someone now so that’s cancelled) and I m on my way to getting my Canadian PR. After my Masters, I decided that I would pursue a PHD, possibly get a tenure/track position and start teaching from there. I wrote the GRE in 2016, ordered for my transcript, and applied to only one school – UPenn. Their communication program is one of the top programs globally and I was certain, I was going to get in after all bright girl – Yes? Oh boy I got rejected! I was quite pained. I said to myself that I would try again and so the next year I rewrote GRE, got better scores, and applied to 3 schools. I even wrote IELTS Academics. That one I had LRSW – 8.5, 7.5,8,7.5. After all that was said and done, rejection, rejection rejection! This time it had started to chip at my self-esteem. I thought I was an intelligent lass, what was wrong? To cut the long story short, I applied again in 2018 to 4 schools (3 rejected, 1 put me on their wait list and later rejected), I just said to myself, it seems this PhD life isn’t for me. Besides I wasn’t certain that I wanted to pursue it at the time, so I pulled out my plan B. My best friend had started her own Canadian FSW process in November 2017 and I was rooting for her to leave soon. Thankfully she is leaving this October after waiting over a year, almost 2. Updated – she left with her hubby and my God daughter on the 18th of October Ah, I digress, please refill your glass of chilled water, the story is still long. July 2018 and one of my colleagues; Mrs N. was tinkering with the immigration idea and when she started the process, I would find her engrossed on the Nairaland thread and I wondered why the immense interest, apparently, she was busy doing research on the process. One day, while we were discussing, she told me about one of our senior colleagues (shout-out to Sis Y) who had relocated the previous year and she was willing to put me through the process if I wanted. I answered positively. Mrs N was convinced that I wasn’t all serious about it and warned me that Sis Y didn’t play when pushing people to achieve a goal once she was conscripted on any matter. I took my 2018 annual vacation and travelled to the US, when I returned I decided that I would take steps to do the needful. That’s how I started the process. I already had my complete POF in an investment and I quickly paid for WES in January this year. ECA I registered and paid for WES on the 17th of January 2019 and I reached out to my University to send my transcript. It appeared that this was a regular type of request for the school as I didn’t need to ask for much before my transcript was sent. I also mailed my certificate and the WAEC verification process was a breeze. Then Wes sent the mail to my university for verification my Uni responded on time but WES, didn’t update my profile. That’s how I started chasing WES with phone calls because I was expectant. I called them almost every day for about 3 weeks. In fact, one of the agents must have known my name. I called one time and she just started laughing. She said, “I know, I know, we have seen it now” The next week, my profile was updated, and I was given the expected date of completion - 16th of April 2019. I danced like it was PPR. IELTS Aka the respecter of none and the humbler of many. As a smart babe, I wrote IELTS with the expectation that I would only write it once, because I had written the Academic version in 2017 and I had an overall 8 band. I even scored a 7.5 in writing. I wrote my first GT IELTS on Feb 14, 2019. The day I checked the result, I almost cried LRSW- 8.5,8.5,8.6.5. but I was positive that I write well so I applied for a remark. Who sai!! After four weeks, it came back unchanged. I lost my grand mom, sometime in February and I wasn’t keen on spending more money as I had to support my mom with her part of the burial expenses, God used my colleague Mrs N to support my ministry with half the amount for my second IELTS. God bless you my darling. You can be sure that I will carry plenty dried fish for you when I am coming. The exams were booked for the 6th of April 2019. I was nervous and ill during my speaking test (look at me justifying my 7 in speaking). When the result came out on the 19th of April – I was driving home with my mom after a church program, we stopped briefly to purchase something, and I checked online. LRSW- 8.5,9,7,7. I danced all the way back home after that. My mom was dancing with me while warning me to keep my eyes on the road as she had not carried her grandkids yet. Lol. My lovely dramatic mum. I will absolutely miss her when I leave (Thank God for parents’ super visas) There was a draw on the 17th which I missed because of my IELTS result but when I dived into the pool, my CRS was 459, I did some permutation and combination and figured that the next draw would be on the 1st of May 2019 all things being equal. I booked my medicals with QLife for the 13th of May as that was the earliest date I could get which wouldn’t conflict with sister flo. ITA – gotten as planned. 1st of May draws CRS cutoff was 450. Thanks to Almighty God especially as the scores after that became higi-haga-ish” MEDICALS & PCC I took the day off work and got to Qlife at 6am, Parked on the street adjacent to the clinic and headed inside to write my name. I was done by 10 and I headed to Alagbon to process my PCC with ASP Moshood. I also completed that before noon – I parted with 5k. I met a guy also processing his, we agreed we wouldn’t pay more than 4k but I guess I was genuinely happy with how fast it was ready I gave extra 1k. ASP is such a pleasant guy. Wish him the very best. POST ITA Dear Immi- diary, I had collated all my documents weeks before getting my ITA thanks to Mrs N’s advice. She got her PPR on the day I wrote my first IELTS, so she really guided me with putting together my documents for submission. I had created folders and scanned all the documents I had available (work reference, POF, Passport etc) weeks before ITA, so once I got my medicals and PCC done, I asked my two specialists to eyeball the application and then I submitted on the 16th of May. POST AOR MEP/BIL was cleared on the 22nd of June and 27th June respectively and since then it’s been waiting for the golden mail. _ Last written 21st August 2019 Two days to 5Months Post AOR (14th October) Dear ImmiD, this wait shaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!! God knows I need something to occupy my time. In the last few months, I ve interviewed for two fantastic roles within multinationals and didn’t get any. One said they had decided to go with an internal candidate and the other said I came across as a flight risk (isn’t it true though, I would have left in a couple of months) despite getting to the last stage in both places. I have joined several Whatsapp groups with really special people but none beats the April/May 2019 group – goodness, I haven’t met such set of individuals before – everyone literally has your back.. I can’t say it enough; these guys make time fly by so nicely. Even though, some of us have gotten theirs, we are hopeful that soon we ll all get this thing. We ve even decided to rename the group “Living in Canny April/May cohort” or something like that. I love you guys. You would wake up to over 500 messages and no PPR announcement, just people living their best lives while waiting. We ll all celebrate soon. God willing. PPR October is the quite a special month for me in many ways, I was born in October, In church, we have a month long fast in October and its quite refreshing spiritually, so I wasn’t surprised when I woke up in the night on the __________ of October to pee, and I picked my phone as usual (as par company in the rest room) Written in faith – October 3rd 2019. Updated – Guysssss! I struck the 6 months timeline on the 16th of November and it was a Saturday. That day I had mixed feelings especially because the last time I wrote, I was writing in faith that I would get it before the end of October. Well it didn’t happen, but we thank God. My April/May AOR group has been quite active with PPR announcements, I have been genuinely happy for everyone, some days would be rough, some other days would be tough (Oshe see rhymes) but I knew that it would go around. In October though, something significant happened I think I had a “revelation” as to when it would come. 3rd week in November is what the Lord ministered to me. Now, I usually have a work-related thing every 3rd week in November and so I figured it would happen that way as I was ministered to. Brethren, I woke up on the 19th of November and one of my people on the AOR group had made her PPR announcement and said that I would be next, I was seating on the toilet seat when I decided to check my profile. I saw that my profile had been updated. Phew!! Guys I started crying. You don’t even want to know. I was crying, I called my mom, she was crying with me and I was just grateful to God. And then it landed!!! I woke up to pee on the 20th and boom! The email was sitting pretty in my email. God doesn’t lie, if he says it, he will do it. I am immensely grateful to God for everything. I am also thankful that my immi-diary days are over. I want to say thanks to a few people, Mrs N, Mrs A, My April/May AOR family and everyone that gave part of themselves to my process. God bless you guys and see you in our new home. Oh! And my Accra people, weary not, God has brought us all this far, soooon, we will share your PPR stories. God bless us all. |
Oh! i feel it in my bones. This is the part where i testify. *Enters draft- proceeds to adjust my PPR story* Welldone LadyM and to everyone that has been a blessing to this our Canny journey in the previous threads. For those waiting, its coming God willing. XOXO #WeMove.. |
ladymarshall:Hewwwuuuu!!!! roll out the drumssssss, congratulations sis!!!!! supeer super stoked for you. E don sure!! I was reading your rant this morning and i was like this woman will get this thing soon, make she calm down!! God is faithful... We celebrate you. Congrats again.. |
Permit me to go a bit rough here please. Dear Magnifico2000, i know a lot of people here roll their eyes when they see questions from you. Its not because we know too much and do not want to share, it is because we re becoming exasperated at the questions that you ask. For the last time please go to page 1, read it and digest all the information there. That page is a life saver on this journey. Trust me if you ve read that page and you ask questions, we ll know its because you need clarity. This is becoming very annoying to be truthful. All the best in your journey. XOXO W #We move SideNote: Congrats to everyone clinching PPR, smashing IELTS and overcoming ECA, it may be slow but it will surely come. Magnifico2000: |
Dont give up hope, its around the corner God willing, Meanwhile start packing your things gradually, especially if your medicals is nearing its expiration (except its already passed). As others have suggested, perhaps you can contact Accra VO. It is well. We look forward to your testimony XOXO Scbhoviv: |

LadyM, EKu scoring o. i ve been meaning to reach out, please ma, i will like to intern at thine ladymarshall: |
Dear Ken4agent, i m going to be real with you, first all your questions have undertones of a migrant intent, but i will humor you and try and respond to the best of my knowledge. 1. Vo's typically do not look at invites, very rarely, so an invitation to the US by your US citizen friend may not exactly hold water especially with the trend of high refusals. If you insist on applying however you re looking at a B1/B2 (tourist visa) 2. Which one exactly do you want to do? go visiting or go to school? if its school, apply to schools, write the proper exams, get admission and just maybe you may get a visa, but your coy sponsoring your studies is a bit overused, except your'e an academic. Some Uni's sponsor their staff. 3. If you go through this thread, you will understand the requirements needed for a Visa application,Most importantly fill your DS160 and Book an appointment. 4. Again get the admission first. I hope this helps. Xoxo.. Ken4agent: |

johnnybravo1990:I believe, he wants to create an express entry profile, that you can do, since your ECA will be out in a few days, however you may not be able to submit the profile aka enter the pool until you have your ECA report and your IELTS trf. You must complete your EE profile before 60 days, that for you should be possible since you have your IELTS. I hope this helps.. Xoxo #We move |
Testimony time, blessing time... Guys IELTS has landed, I was expecting more especially with my speaking but I m grateful... Finally about to jump into the pool with 459... Lemme go and bring out my bikini... LRWS - 8.5, 9,7,7.. |

estijaz:There s no absolute way to determine, if you will get it back. IMO, please dont risk it. It seems you may need to choose between going to Japan and going to the US now.. |
Nice! Congrats on your ECA and IELTS (in advance). I see some of your duties are listed in both NOCs 4163 and 1122. IMO, a larger portion of your duties seems to be present in 1122 than 4163 .
Thank you @Topsmamen & Joo.. |

Congrats to the IELTS clinchers. To the rest please don't give up. Request for EOR, especially on your writing, it may just turn out successful. I'm writing my second IELTS tomorrow and i have prepped and prayed. I leave this one to God. But please is this really true? the 250+10 explanation someone gave above? That's quite unfair, it certainly means that with every paragraph written, one has to pause and count. Oh well. #Wemove.. I ll be back with my testimony on the 19th God willing.. |
Please, with regards to current requirements for WES evaluation, do I have to get WAEC to send my WAEC result directly to WES? If yes. How do I do this? Or do I just mail my copies of the WAEC results to them(WES)? And also the required scratch card, how do I do that. Please. @Phaytie, I didn't goto WAEC myself but these are what to need. 1. Affidavit confirming that you wrote the exams (you can get it from the local courts around or one near the WAEC office. 2. Purchase the WAEC scratch card also close to WAEC or in Local shops that sell them. 3. A copy of your WAec result 4. 2 envelops 5. 10k for administrative processing (for WAEC) 6. About 10k for dispatch. WAEC will process your request and send to Wes. Please ensure that your Wes reference number is written on the envelope addressed to Wes as well as on the scratch card. Additionally, you can search the forum, a certain gentleman can assist you with the WAEC bit for a small service charge. I hope this helps. #Wemove.. |
Congrats to the IELTS and PPR Clinchers... Your stories give us hope.. Well I ve got some good news of mine.. Wes has finally updated oooo.. My expected date of completion is around the corner. Hi Guys. I m still all about waiting for WES, they are extremely slow these days, and its getting quite frustrating honestly. I call them literally every week especially since its well over a month they've received the verification email from my school and i keep getting the same responses - Give it time, they are evaluating. It has become so worrisome. but we wait. I will continue to hound them until i get my date of completion. I am also writing IELTS again on the 6th, since my EOR came back unchanged (LSRW- 8.5,8,8.5, 6.5). This time i believe i m ready. Truthfully though, this exam is humbling. I used to raise shoulder because i had written Academics (which is harder by the way and scored LSRW 8.5,8,8,7.5 previously. Its amazing how things like this can bring one to ground Zero. I hope for the best. Have a good evening e-fam. #WeMove |
samsonedos:I applied for EOR on the 1st of February at the British Council office. I got notification that it had been sent for remarking on the 6th and i was notified of the collection yesterday. |

. I have sent to those who sent PM mbok!.
