Igboid: Somebody who is more patriotic lost to somebody who is not paying tax. It is a surprise win. It is disturbing, but I know Allah knows why he won. Almighty Allah gives and takes power. I want to see how he will chase out Muslims from his country. Mallam Haroon, Let’s see how event will unfold,” he said.
“Yes I may be nervous but Allah gives power and He takes it at will. My take on whatever Trump intends to do is in Quran 99: 7-8 “Then shall anyone who has done an atom’s weight of good, shall see it! And anyone who has done an atom’s weight of evil, shall see it.”
Another Muslim, Ustaz AbdulWaheed Olowo said: “Right now, I want to see how Trump will work his talk on Muslims. He will first have to flush out all American Muslims though a minority out of America. We will then see what the reaction of other world leaders when he bans other Muslims from all over the world from entering US. I want to believe it is just a mere political statement meant only to win votes, it is a difficult thing to do. Besides, no leader worth his position will do anything to provoke a war, hatred and anger of people. But if he does it, we will all see the end result. So, I think those campaign talks would not be translated into tough xenophobic policies.”
The Quran says: “Say: “O Allah! Lord of Power (And Rule), Thou givest power to whom Thou pleasest, and Thou strippest off power from whom Thou pleasest: Thou enduest with honour whom Thou pleasest, and Thou bringest low whom Thou pleasest: In Thy hand is all good. Verily, over all things Thou hast power..”
However, if this growing nervousness is based on the fact that tough anti-Islamic policies under Trump presidency could provoke more anger and breed violence, then global peace and world economic development is under threat if the US President elect make good his election promise.

MuttleyLaff: No misquoting but more of an inadvertent eisegesis from your end
Luke 16:16 is the mirror version of Matthew 11:12
The kindgom of Heaven accepts us as we are, most of us come along with affliction baggages. If the gate to life aka The kindgom of Heaven is already narrow for an ordinary person, imagine what a challenge it will be for someone strandled with affliction baggages to get in, such will have to FORCE way through the narrow gate It is not an attack on heaven but is the eager squeezing, wriggling, twisting and turning trying to FORCE their way in through the narrow gate
Matthew 23 :13 is talking to those evil men that are blocking children of God to make heaven but Matthew 11:12 and Luke 16:16 IS NOT talking to or talking about those evil men that are blocking children of God to make heaven.
Rushing is not the right word, but forcing is the right word If surrounded at all fronts by, peer pressure, social pressure, social influence, increasingly moral and cultural decline, immoderateness, serious decline in biblical beliefs or values, then people (i.e. crowd) will need to push, force through obstacles such as these to enter the Kingdom of Heaven The gospel, the good news, the glad tiding will suffocate, if people (i.e. crowd) dont force their minds to climb up the sides of the few obstacles aforementioned and rise above the to breathe in the fresh and life giving sweet smelling fragrance air of the gospel in some of your explanations was based word to word interpretation like where you quote that jesus said suffer not the children to come to me , is the interpretation of that mathew11 vs 12 because the word suffer is there? Funny!!!!.you mean because the gate of heaven is narrow that means when going to heaven your baggages will be hitting the door edge of the gate right? Wow good understanding sir. Have given you the direct interpretation of it mathew 23 vs 13. If you are confused try to pray on that verse and HE will show you the meaning not quoting irrelevant verses. I was once like that until my eyes was opened to know the actual meaning. Even some scholars failed in that verse. |

LadyAnn: According to bible Hub, The kingdom of heaven suffereth violence.—The Greek verb may be either in the middle voice, “forces its way violently,” or passive, as in the English version, but there is little doubt that the latter is the right rendering. The words describe the eager rush of the crowds of Galilee and Judæa, first to the preaching of the Baptist, and then to that of Jesus. It was, as it were, a city attacked on all sides by those who were eager to take possession of it. I have said it before that most christians interpret like that even biblehub you went to but the true meaning is what's happening in saudi arabia where jesus name is banned publicly, crosss or bible is banned. Now check the words "suffered violent attack" does it mean pressing or forcing in? Huh but we christians we are to desperate give bible meaning to suit us. |

That's the simple meaning. Now you are eager to make heaven will you now attack the heaven. That verse is talking to those evil men that are blocking children of God to make heaven. Even spiritually kingdom of heaven never witness crowd rushing in that's why the trumpet has not been blown. Good news version will give you perfect meaning okay. |

The word of God is indeed living and sharper than any two-edged sword..... am still searching for the word violent to match up the phrase of " be wise like serpent and harmless like dove", or having strong faith can be compare to that violent of matthew 11 vs 12. Is not possible no matter how we can interpret it that qualities mentioned in that verse of op is not a quality of making heaven. |

MuttleyLaff: And Jesus said, “Who touched me?” And when everyone denied, Peter and those with him said to him, ''Our master, the crowds are pressing close to you, and they are pushing and you say, 'Who touched me?' '' - Luke 8:45
Wherever he went--in villages, cities, or the countryside--they brought the sick out to the marketplaces. They begged him to let the sick touch at least the fringe of his robe, and all who touched him were healed - Mark 6:56
Crowds of people were coming to be baptized by John. He would say to them, "You poisonous snakes! Who showed you how to flee from God's coming anger? - Luke 3:7
But when John saw many Pharisees and Sadducees coming to where he was baptizing, he told them, "You children of serpents! Who warned you to flee from the coming wrath? - Matthew 3:7
In order to understand Matthew 11:12 a little bit more, one needs to be familiar with the crowd in Jesus or John the Baptist times, and what occurs in midst of the throng
As people try to achieve the below, Matthew 11:12 for better comprehesion edited version, pushing and pulling (i.e. force), due to overcrowding, always occurred in John the Baptist gathering and this up to the time of Jesus' gathering too
And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth tolerated violence, and the violent strong and assertive take it
by force with a push or pull upon applicable kingdom of heaven person or object e.g. John the Baptist, Jesus etcetera, in order, to be baptised in the Jordan River by John the Baptist, to receive healing from Jesus, to receive salvation, to hear the gospel preached by Jesus." - Matthew 11:12 for better comprehesion edited version
Now, five examples of the ''violent'' ''who took'' ''it'' by ''force'' are: 1) The woman with the issue of blood, who pushed through the crowd, to touched the hem of Jesus' garment in order to receive healing 2) Zacchaeus, the tax collector and a short man, who ran ahead and climbed a sycamore-fig tree, to be above the crowd, in order to see Jesus who was passing through Jericho on His way to Jerusalem 3) The four men, who could not get their paralyzed friend to Jesus who was in house because of the crowd, so devised the plan to dig a hole in the roof and lower down their paralyzed friend in mat tied and held with four ropes 4) The Canaanite woman who came to Jesus to cure her daughter severely oppressed by a demon, but who then forcibly begs, when told she is not in the ''priority queue'' 5) Peter openly wanting to refuse to obeying gravity by asking Jesus to command him to come walking on the water to Jesus.
From the above inexhaustible examples, the kingdom of Heaven is not for the faint hearted (i.e. anyone legally looking for something or trying to get something permitted in the kingdom of Heaven, has to be forthright, strong & assertive)
Matthew 11:12 along with those few examples above implies that, there is no room for hesitancy, doubt, timidity, fear or shyness etcetera the kingdom of Heaven, because in terms of obtaining salvation, receiving healing, wanting to know God or wanting to see Jesus etcetera, the kingdom of Heaven doesnt suffer, entertain or tolerate these type of hesitancy, doubt, timidity, fear or shyness behaviours
Need to be forthright, strong & assertive, if not, cant pull down stronghold, wont be able to push through traditions of men, go past legalisms or other etcetera barriers in way of achieving objectives or goals This is my first interpretation of that verse quoted by op but that's not true until I was led by the spirit of God. Before you understand that verse you have to understand the meaning of "kingdom of God","suffereth',"violence" and "violent" in that sentence. most christians interpreted this verse in that way which is not, because that verse is talking to the wicked people , now look at the verse from good news:mathew 11 vs 12; from the time john preached his message until this very day the kingdom of heaven has suffered VIOLENT attacks, and VIOLENT men try to seize it then check the verse mathew 23 vs 13 : but woe unto you , scribes, pharisees and hypocrites! For ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in yourselves neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in. That's the meaning of what jesus was trying to say in that verse of matthew 11 vs 12. Killing of john baptist, killing of jesus , the apostles, burning of bible and many evil atrocities against children of God by men who don't others to make heaven by placing stumbling block to the people who are thirsty for the water of life. |

Ipod miscreants let me tell correct something concerning Tb Joshua prophecy. Even the bible failed in some prophecies. Starting from 1, Jeremiah 17:27... The bible predicted an everlasting fire through Jeremiah the prophet, God warned concerning Sabbath day. . But in 2nd Chronicles 36:19-21 was the fulfilment of that prophecy. The fire is not burning today Is Jeremiah A Fake Prohet? No... Is God A Liar ? No...
2, That is why the bible said the spoken word can be changed. But the written is unchangeable. There was a man in the bible that God told he was going to die. After pleading with God, God added 15 more years. Is God A Liar NO…. Words can be changed, but the written word cannot be changed.
3, Jonah that was swallowed by the fish prophesied internal doom for Nineveh. But was it destroyed. No. Is Jonah A False Prophet? No... Is God A Liar ? No...
4, Joshua told the people of God that if he prayed the wall of Jericho will fall instanctly as prophecised by God... But it failed. It was not as God said it. It was not instanct... 5. Didn’t God also promised to take Moses to the promise land… Is God A Liar? No… Is Moses A Fake Prophet ? No… oga please kindly comprehend this verse deuteronomy 18 vs 22: when a prophet speaketh in the name of the lord , if the thing follow not , nor come to pass, that's the thing which the lord hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presunmptuously: thou shall not be afraid of him. Period. The Prophecy is not authentic or the vision is influenced by personal feeling or mind. |

akintom: The difficulty the OP is having in arriving, at a convincing mental adjustment to the concept of God idea, can't possibly be a sufficient ground for you, to wrongly define rational atheism.
And of course, you have either mischievously or ignorantly stumbled, where the OP did stumbled.
Note the following:
1. Your God says in Bible, don't make images of me. Yet Catholic Church not only make images of Jesus and Mary, they worship the same images.
2. Cherubim and celestial churches practice polygamy, yet pentecostal says monogamy is the order.
3. Pentecostal churches says Christians are not under the law, yet they practice tithing and first fruit offering.
4. Jéhovah witnesses will never endorse marriage between their members and Rccg members. Yet your Bible says all of you are one in christ.
5. Deeper life Church will say you are going to hell because you wear ornaments, yet winners, Rccg etc says deeper is lying.
Where is your true God or jehovah, in the midst of all these fractionalization and factional disposition of you religious folks?
The absurdities of religion and God idea is unlimited.
You will do well to understand the concept and ideological basis of "rational atheism". that's we have doctrines in christiandom but one thing old us together. |
