DOGE!!! crazy... Seems i stepped out too early again... Not chasing a green candle though |
BrokerHaruna:Hehehe....xrp... I was once a fan Guess what, stellar (xlm) and xrp are related and they usually move together. Moreso, it moves more than it. If you're so sure about xrp, then it may be better to buy xlm instead. Every bull run has it's altys. Don't get married to 2017 altys in 2020 Remember, once betece corrects, everything would follow both the ones that have pumped and those were yet to pump |
DenreleDave:https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.fusionmedia.investing Another good app; https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tabtrader.android |
Altys bounce looking sweet... Still in aave... Let's see what it does above 300. Doge profits cycled into YFI at 28500... I think it's yet to lift... Algo also lagging... Looking at the link and algo weekly charts, they tell a good story... All we need is betece to hold.. it's hanging by a thin rope... It's tested the 30k level 3 times... I'm not keen on a 4th..needs to reclaim some levels and do it quick so as not to nuke with the whole market In summary, 30-31K needs to hold and betece needs to start moving ASAP
|
MyChoice1:Hehe... Learn from the mistakes from your last trade before moving to another... You'd likely run to buy the top of another coin nd ren will move, then you may repeat same process again. |
ApostleBlack:What are your sell targets? 3-6 months can be a long time to hold random altys blindly. They may pump and dump back lower than your entry point in that time. From your prices, you didn't buy early... You bought within a run so a huge correction would likely sweep your profit. Recommendations are to be timed in... If not, you end up buying people's heavy bags who'd wait to buy back from you at much lower prices. In this market, some new alyts go crazy with every bull run... It doesn't matter whether they're strong projects or not, they'd dump the most when a correction comes.... Initially, their bounce would be good until they capitulate. Nothing goes up in a straight line. Also, there's something called distribution... After some coins go on a huge run, rather than selloff quickly, they seem to be propped up so whales can slowly sell their bags to retail money before a huge dump ensues. For dot, it may still have some upside room depending on what betece does but I'm not holding my breath.... That's its weekly chart below... It's done over 400% in a month... It's worth considering that
|
Rilwayne001:Simple...betece.. You decide when to buy |
TheZebra:Was in that too... Saw the early moves and got in at 0.004- 0.0045... annoyingly, I set it to sell at 0.0054... we all know it hit 0.0145 that day... Was super annoyed... Today, my targets were hit sweetly.... Looking to reenter for another round... These moves can be tricky so it's a small portion of my portfolio I use |
Jmandotcom:Basic TA is not so difficult... Can be tricky to interpret... It's good you want to learn it, would sure help your trading. The fundamentals always win. Four things to look into are Risk management Market cycles TA PA We're in a bull run, so it's easy to make money. Betece has fallen over 30% and most altys are trading higher than they were when it was at 40k. When we flip bear, such betece moves would cause an 80% drop in altys... You'd dread holding altys then |
niqqaclaimz:Yeah... We all made that mistake... Buying and thinking it'd only go up. Then when it dips, we sell the bottom. One of the reasons of this thread is to leverage on the experience of others and reduce certain mistakes |
Ojemedad:Same way in moving betece to any address I'd say.... You need the recipient address which you can get from your binance account |
jasp12:Best thing is to watch videos on it... Likely your limit buy price was above the market price so effectively a market sell. Same also for when you set a limit sell below the market price.. The only way to achieve that would be an OCO order which is more complex... |
Sxp has crossed the 1.20 level... A flip of this level should take it to 2 in the coming days. That said, please don't buy a coin that has done 20% in a day Bought some at 0.8 amd may take profits and reenter if it holds |
Did a quick 35% scalp on doge this morning... Not bad.. may rinse and repeat... In nd out... May target another scalp today or rinse profits elsewhere Not advising folks here to join in.. it's extremely risky |
ApostleBlack:Hehe... You bought this am and want to collapse this am into Eithy.. Lemme ask out of curiosity... Why did you buy dot and whats your sell target? |
niqqaclaimz:Good stuff... Combining this with knowing when to cut your losses and not hold a project down into the doldrums is golden. |
Notyamate:Exactly, such folks jump from top to top and lose everything in the long run. In this space, emotions will kill your money easily |
FlyHeight:I agree but eith is at a critical point against betece... I expect some pull back... A flip of this level could see it go upto 40% against betece before the next resistance. That'd usually mean it doing much better in usd. The room on the upside is tremendous if it can hold support |
DenreleDave:Your friend is making the mistake alot makes. If you're buying for the short term, you should know here to get in and have targets. For the long term, you may not worry as much. Seems he got in randomly thinking price would keep shooting up. For those folks, even if price goes to 100k, he'd still not sell |
NairalandNurse:You can place a limit order on B1nance. Preferably, you could set a price alert on Binance... once it crosses 34k, it'd alert you and you can choose to sell I use other trading apps to set price alerts as they vibrate out |
condomuser:Yes its cheaper but that's even less of an issue. Security is the other one. Most folks who go buying from others get duped |
FlyHeight:I'd disagree with the final part. In the early days of this space, they had an advantage for the banks use case. That has been the narrative for years but not anymore. Right now, stable coyns seem better suited for this. With all the talk about sec, major banks wouldn't come close. Already, crypt0 is still viewed as shady in some banking quarters. We're in a bull market which will come to an end too. My aim is to buy dips on strong projects and make money cos When betece corrects, everything corrects with it. I got married to weak coins in the past and had to exit in regret. I still hold some extp but its a small part of my portfolio |
FlyHeight:This price range seems to be stressing both sides... There's been strong selling into 30k and it continues to hold... My trendline has been breached but the horizontal 30k support continues to hold... Whichever way this resolves should be significant |
ApostleBlack:Why not load your binance account with naira and buy. There's an ngn pair. Alternatively, you can buy on bundle or Luno if loading your account there is easier |
TheEnlightenedO:I'm waiting for the close today to see how it plays out. That said, I'm quite skeptical with 27k target also as a good number of people seem to be aiming for it. 30k has shown itself to be a good support, likely a HTF one. If betece loses it, the downside should be significant. I very much doubt 27k would hold a rejection from 30k. It doesn't have that structure yet. It'd likely tank to low 20k. I'm seeing a similar scenario with what played out in the drop to 10k and folks were calling for 9.6k which betece did not give. Lets see how today plays out |
bradwilli:I'd add that another to circumvent the lack of liquidity with the eith/ngn pair on luno is to trade eith into betece and betece into naira. The eith/betece pair used to have more liquidity when I traded on Luno |
JoelMurray2020:Good stuff Alternatively, one can search 'ngn' and see all the offerings linked with naira. If you're finding it difficult to follow your wallet balance in usd, you can set your balance to show in naira so you know how much you've made in naira. |
condomuser:of course it could drop further and it could rise higher. No one can say for certain what it would do. But I'd say at this stage, the potential downside on betece does not seem as huge |
tolulope2021:I'd say in the market, betece held the show for 3 months before January, I believe alts would run for at least 2 months. That said, we are at a pivotal part of the market. If betece loses 30k, Feb may be bloody... If it holds 30k and betece takes 40k, then the upside on alts would be explosive. That said, betece has done x3-4 in the past few months, the potential upside is good. The potential downside is also there. You sound new here. My advise is simple.. when trading altys, please don't be the last person holding them. You would be left pants down. i.e, I would not be waiting for 3 months to take profits off the table. There are two things impt here... you have to time your entry.. you don't want to buy something that has gone x4 in two weeks. on the other hand, good performers are likely to continue performing well while laggards may continue lagging. Finally, for coyns, I listed a few some pages back. If I'd pick 2 for a new person, I'd say eith and maybe link |
afroxyz:The thing about trading is that whatever side you choose, it would test your resolve. That's why I prefer to look at the HTF cos smaller timeframes can chew one both ways. If it loses 30-31k on the 4hrly, I'd be interested in entering at the 21 weekly EMA which currently sits around 22.5k. 30k has been a strong support and should hold as a strong resistance once lost. There are lots of support clusters under 30k hence my looking at the 21 weekly EMA which has not been retested for sometime. |
afroxyz:Also, to add yesterday's candle wasn't a nice one... Typical reversal pattern after a rejection from 35k. Seems we're stuck between 30 and 35k and looking for which one would give way first... Let see how it resolves |
bradwilli:Likely you used a market order. Luno charges extra for market orders |
