Crime / Re: Church Worker Jailed For Stealing Offering Since 2005 by Jemibee: 9:58am On Mar 01, 2012
They should just free this man!! as in, i know it's BAD to steal but i just feel pity for him. He claims having worked for them since 2005 without earning a dime. Where did they think he was getting the money to feed, clothe and provide shelter for him and his family? The church authority is also to be blamed, POOR HIM!!

Family / Re: thank you by Jemibee: 12:19pm On Feb 29, 2012
I don't envy u one bit. I knw what it's like to have that feeling of being in another person's house. It's ur husband i blame and not you or even the in-law.

Your hubby should have made sure every1 understood his role in the house. And for those saying household chores are strictly meant for women, UNE LIE OOO!! If you've ever lived outside 9ja, like some of us, you'd know that in the developped world, everyone contributes as much as he can either financially or physically.

My advice is that you call an educated/respectable old inlaw of yours and narrate the story. They'll give you sugestions as to how to manage this crisis. Your marriage is too young for u to be dealing with inlaws and their wahala. And if it doesnt work out, u'll have to choose to either live unhappy for as long as it'd last or return back to 9ja. He'll come for u when he's ready and when d coast is clear if not, u probably weren't meant to be togeda.
Health / Re: Heavy Bleeding After Aborting Pregnancy With Cytotec by Jemibee: 11:47am On Feb 29, 2012
I agree with those who suggested that you take her to a certified hospital and narrate your story to the doctor. Her life and that of the foetus is definately in danger. It's abnormal, as you have noticed for a human being to bleed for so long so the earlier, the better.

Stop reading about the drug online, you're not a doctor. Go to a specialist who must have heard of such cases and therefore knows what to do.

Goodluck !!
Politics / Re: Ibori Will Still Be Tried In Nigeria,’ Efcc Says by Jemibee: 11:28am On Feb 29, 2012

Crime / Re: Nigerian, Eric Chimezie Oluigbo Sentenced To Death In Malaysia 4 Drug Traffickin by Jemibee: 11:21am On Feb 29, 2012
I feel NO PITY for such people. After it being emphasized that asian countries don't pardon on drug cases, he still chose to go there. That serves him right !!
Politics / Re: Imo State Government To Start Airline Soon by Jemibee: 10:52am On Feb 29, 2012
This governor is WORKING ooo!! More grease to your elbow!! Is it not the same state where they have free education??

If this is true, may the Good Lord bless him with many more ideas to better his people and quality people as his allies to carry strict instructions out.
Politics / Re: Ibo And Yoruba Rivalry - Myths And Facts - Part 1 by Jemibee: 10:41am On Feb 29, 2012
Wow !! What a write up!! I commend the author

Now back to business. I am Yoruba and i strongly think it's best that igbos and yorubas go their seperate ways. This is because i doubt if anybody would be able to succeed in taking the animosity we live in away for good. This has been existing for decades and we don't seem to be outgrowing it.

It would have been best if we could see beyond our differencies and live together in peace but how sure are we that it's going to work. Especially with comments here on NL, it's clear that it's not only the past generations problem. It has unfortunately been passed to us and some will definately do the same with their kids. It's sad but that's just the truth.

I don't see a "one Nigeria " even in the next 100yrs.
Family / Re: What Does It Mean To Be A Submissive Wife. by Jemibee: 5:19pm On Feb 27, 2012

Family / Re: For Married People: When Was Your First Ever Quarrel? by Jemibee: 5:07pm On Feb 27, 2012
I can't even recall because these things happen more often than we bargained for. It's been 2yrs now but i can say our major quarrel was early this month.

Ability to see beyond them and embrace eachother is what draws you closer and brings more respect to your marriage.

Nairaland / General / Re: The National Identification Number by Jemibee: 4:42pm On Feb 27, 2012
I pray they extend it to our embassies around the world, just like they did when they introduced biometric passports. We who reside outside the country will by so doing benefit from the exercise.
Religion / Re: Is Suffering Necessary For Salvation? by Jemibee: 4:27pm On Feb 27, 2012
I choose to rephrase this and put it like this: Sacrifice making is necessary for salvation.
We must learn to make sacrifices just like our Lord Jesus did, and that's one of the pillars of christianity.
Family / Re: Do Live-in Relatives Ruin The Spark In A Marriage? by Jemibee: 4:00pm On Feb 27, 2012
I'm TOTALLY against it. But in marriage, there're many things u didn't bargain for that eventually pop up and you just have to flow with it. This is applicable to the wives (who have little or no say), you just have to continue surviving, hoping and praying it ends soonEST.

But in rare cases, it has to do with u helping them (relatives) such as travelling abroad and they have to stay with you till they can fend for themeselves, enrolling in school and so they get to live comfortably at ur place instead of being on campus where there's no supervision. In these cases, u just have to be of help but i'd advice they come up later in the marriage and not at the early stage.

What a waste of funds !! This could have benefited a better cause: cure of aids, cancer or better still put a smile on faces of peeps suffering from one disease or the other or even famine.
But at the end of the day, it was her hard earned money and maybe she had chosen to be buried this way.

Religion / Re: Help! This Church Near My House Wont Let Me Sleep. by Jemibee: 1:24pm On Feb 23, 2012
You have to report the case to the police since u say u don't thk there's any special institution overseeing such nuisance. I'm a christian but i don't thk because they're praying, they have the right to disturb others. The night is meant to be quiet and not the other way round.
Sorry jare !!

Crime / Re: Robbery Gangs Raid Two Banks by Jemibee: 12:10pm On Feb 23, 2012
before we know it, they'll say it's Boko Haram. May God help our country, BH or robbers, all we want is security of lives and property!!

If you keep money at home, robbers will come for it, and if it's in a bank, they'll still go after it. What are the Nigerian peeps then expected to do with their hard earned money
