Please read through the prophecy in Joel that you quoted and you will find that the qualifier is ALL! I don't believe that makes it an exclusive preserve of Oyhaks and his brand of followers. What I have seen so far is nothing more than mediocrity and idolatory. If it was the same spirit as we saw in Acts, one of your Pastors will not survive stealing money from his workplace and bringing it as a gift to your your church while receiving a commendation letter from Oyahks. One who even brought his own money and lied about the full price of the land was struck dead in the Atmmosphere that was present in the book of Acts.

You guys emphasis on miracles is what makes you easily deceived. So may I ask you one question? Is T.B. Joshua now of God simply because he performs miracles? At least, his "miracles" are known to be more spectacular than Oyahks. Besides, Oyhaks has now copied Joshua with his signature finger pointing. Who els will Oyaks copy? From Benny Hinn to T.B. Joshua! Could Olumba Olumba be his next role model?

thank you for posting it. i watched the interview with Larry King that night on 18th and was really touched. it was the way she looked that caught my attention. i have read about her a bit. i felt pity for her during the show. it was like she knew she was about to die. she cried and i was touched at what made a person so thin. A false prophet is one who says “Jesus did not come in the flesh”, “Jesus was never born of a virgin”, “He never died on the cross”, “He never rose again”, “He never ascended into Heaven”.

Working of miracles is not a proof that someone’s false. Any miracle that’s not performed by the authority of Jesus is called “Magic”. Jesus promised that we’d do greater things than He did. If Jesus raised the dead, what stops us from raising the dead? Many cannot be used of God because they’re committing sin against the Holy Spirit, which cannot be forgiven. They have their conscience seared with hot iron.

Anyone who turns people away from Christ is a false prophet. Anyone who leads people to Christ is a true prophet.

We must be careful with what we say because "sin against the Holy Spirit cannot be forgiven"

There is a Latino who calls himself God. Jose Luis de Jesus Miranda says he is Jesus Christ, while at the same time proclaiming he is the Antichrist.

He is also apostle Pablo reincarnated, Miranda says, and has the apocalyptic number of the beast 666 tattooed on his body.

Miranda is the leader of a church he calls Growing in Grace, which is headquartered in Miami.

Pay off

Media sources say Miranda has around 80,000 followers in several countries. By his own account and other sources, Miranda has amassed several million dollars.

In a recent interview for La Comay, a Puerto Rican TV show, Miranda stated he has received numerous expensive gifts, which have not given him trouble with the Internal Revenue Service as these gifts are nontaxable.

Last week, the newspaper El Tiempo in Bogota, Colombia, reported that Miranda has churches in 23 of the 32 states in that country.

The same article reported that one of the church members, Alvaro Albarracin of Miami, donated 20 percent of his earnings to Miranda's church after he sold his Internet business, Dialtone, for more than $16 million in 2001.

Luz Fuentes, another Growing in Grace member, acknowledges giving the church 50 percent of her mortgage company's income.

Fuentes even honors Miranda in her company's name, Apos Mortgage, as Apos -- for apostle -- is one of Miranda's many nicknames. According to El Tiempo, Miranda's followers also call him papi and dios, and at the same time flood him with gifts.

Church members show their commitment to the church by tattooing their bodies with 666 or SSS (the first letter in six). They are very proud of carrying this seal, they say.

On the attack

Miranda's followers have caused many disturbances, even attacking Catholic marches and religious gatherings of other denominations, according to Jorge Raschke, pastor of the Pentecostal church in Puerto Rico.

Raschke challenged Miranda to a televised theological debate to "publicly show (he is) an impostor manipulating followers to lavishly enrich (himself)," he said on La Comay. At first, Miranda did not accept the challenge and argued that Raschke would "be beat beforehand, as he is not prepared to debate God." Finally, Miranda accepted, but it is still not known if the debate will take place.

The controversy was first made public on La Comay.

In modern history, several characters have declared themselves illuminated and ended up taking their followers to a tragic end. David Koresh, for example, called himself the Messiah. He had been expelled from the Seventh Day Adventist Church and joined the Branch Davidians religious sect founded by Victor Houteff.

Koresh joined the Davidians' headquarters at a Waco, Texas, ranch, and, ultimately, amid horrifying scenes and clashes with authorities, led more than 80 of his followers to their deaths.

A similar case was Marshall Applewhite, a former music teacher known as "father John." His gospel declared an apocalyptic end for humanity.

Certainly, since father John was allegedly invested with divinity, he had the solution to save his followers from such a devastating future. The only solution was to go aboard a space- ship, just like Noah's Ark, that would take the chosen -- father John's followers -- to heavenly domains.

In March 1997, the comet Hale-Bopp came close to Earth. Father John said the celestial phenomenon was a divine sign and convinced 39 people (21 women and 18 men) to commit suicide. He promised a spaceship would come behind the comet, collect their bodies and take them to paradise.

Similar cases occurred in ancient times. In Egypt, there was a very well-known story of a "man who played god." Artisan Ptahemheb, led by his lust for wealth, power and recognition, convinced a few people that he was God. It is because of those who believed his lies that he became a semi-god.

There is no doubt all cultures have had false idols. However, it surely seems that Latin Americans are quite susceptible to manipulation based on faith. Perhaps it is a religious zeal that springs from Latin America's geography and gets mixed with rich mythology and a variety of legends.

Charlatans abound

The Latino soil is fertile not only for apocryphal and false idols, but witches, populist politicians, spurious leaders and all kinds of charlatans.

Millions have abandoned faith and genuine religiosity to put their destiny in the hands of con artists.

One of the secrets of prosperous peoples is they know how to identify authentic leaders and true prophets.

Those without that capacity wander as a flock of docile lambs behind a wolf in sheep's clothing.

It is clearly evident in the Quran that Muhammad understood himself as being the warner to the people of Arabia - a people who did not have a prophet of their own to relate to them the universal message about the unity of God and His claims as it had been revealed to other nations previously. Now God had sent him to speak to them in their own tongue:


"By the book that makes things clear, - We have made it a Quran in Arabic, that ye may be able to understand."
(Sura 43:3).
"Before this was the Book of Moses as a guide and a mercy; And this book confirms (it) in the Arabic tongue."
(Sura 46:12).

"Thus have We sent by inspiration to thee an Arabic Quran: That thou mayest warn the mother of cities (i.e. Mecca) and all around her." (Sura 42:7).

"Verily this is a Revelation from the Lord of the Worlds: With it came down the Spirit of Faith and Truth to thy heart and mind that thou mayest admonish (warn) in the perspicuous Arabic tongue. Without doubt it is (announced) in the mystic Books of former peoples." (Sura 26:192-196).

"An Arabic Quran have We sent down that you may understand it." (Sura 12:2).

Universality for Islam and the Quran, as claimed by Muslims today, is contradicted by the Quran wherein Muhammad is seen as a warner to the Arabic speaking people, particularly Mecca. The term "Arabic Quran" obviously presupposes at least one other Quran (=reading or recitation) and not doubt refers to the Hebrew "Quran" and, if you wish, the Greek "Quran" (being the Old and New Testaments). These "Qurans" are not invalidated by an Arabic Quran, but rather confirmed. There is only one problem: an Arabic Quran was not announced in the "mystic Books of former peoples". To say the least, there is no such book available today, neither was it known at the time of Muhammad.

Another very interesting aspect is that in the pages of both the Quran and the Bible Jesus enjoys a uniqueness that elevates Him above all other prophets. We very much recommend the booklet "The Uniqueness of Jesus in the Quran and the Bible" by John Gilchrist. In it the attributes of Jesus are investigated in depth, all of which are absent in all the other prophets:


He was born of a virgin (Suras 19:16-34, 21:91);

He was sinless (faultless) (Sura 19:19) in contrast to:

Adam Suras 2:36, 7:22-23
Abraham Sura 26:82
Moses Sura 28:15-16
Jonah Sura 37:142
David Sura 38:24-25
Muhammad Suras 40:55, 47:19, 48:1-2, 33:36-38;
and all other men;



He ascended to heaven (Suras 4:158, 3:55):


He will return to this earth to judge mankind, (Sura 43:61); and, we may add:

That He came with signs to prove His identity (heal the blind and lepers; raise the dead). (Sura 5:113).
Indeed, Jesus over and above His uniqueness is universal, even according to the Quran:


"We made her (Mary) and her son (Jesus) a sign for all people." (Sura 21:91).
Surely that should give all people food for thought, particularly those who believe in the message of the Quran.

None of the above can be invalidated by the statement:


"Muhammad is not the father of any of your men, but (he is) the Apostle of Allah, and the Seal of the Prophets." (Sura 33:40). Yusuf Ali's Commentary on this verse explains it as follows:

"When a document is sealed it is complete and there can be no further addition. The holy Prophet Muhammad closed the long line of Apostles."
This is in keeping with the Islamic concept that the Quran had to replace former scriptures, because of their incompleteness and corruption and that Muhammad, being the last of the prophets, is the greatest of them all.

This interpretation is, however, contradicted by other verses:


"Say ye: 'We believe in Allah, and the revelation given to us, and to Abraham, Ismail, Isaac, Jacob and the Tribes, and that given to Moses, and Jesus, and that given to all prophets from their Lord:
WE MAKE NO DIFFERENCE BETWEEN ONE AND ANOTHER OF THEM." (Sura 2:136).

"Say: 'We believe in Allah, and in what has been revealed to us and what is revealed to Abraham, Ismail, Isaac, Jacob, and the Prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction between one and another among them , " (Sura 3:84).

It is only later in his career that Muhammad extends his call and apostleship universally (Sura 34:28).

We consequently conclude: Islamic theology that juggles Jesus into second place, or creates an image of Jesus that does not coincide with the teaching of the Gospel, or even with that of the Quran, is the result of embarrassment over the obviously different position that Jesus had in relation to the other prophets, for Jesus was not a prophet within the normally accepted meaning of the word, but the only Salvation that God ever offered to mankind. This is decidedly expressed in His very name Jesus (=salvation).

The Bible claims universality for Jesus as the only liberator from sin, if sin is properly understood (John 14:6, Acts 4:12 and many other passages). The uniqueness of the life of Jesus and the evidences in support of the divine source of the Bible provide sufficient proof for this claim. Why should any man seek help elsewhere?

I can see that you are really having problem with my reversion, Is my reversion not justifiable, I have been giving you ssues in christianty. I didn't know my post was spurious. My answer to your question(s

#1. I do not believe Muhammad was a prophet sent by the same God revealed to the Biblical prophets.

#2. I do actually believe that there is a Creator who is called 'Allah' in arabic; but as far as identities are concerned, the 'allah' of Islam is not the same God revealed to the Biblical prophets.


The above shows that there is no way I can convince him since he is already determined or make up his mind never to believe in my prophet let alone believing in chapters or verses from the same book.

As for your post on salvation, do you need my rebuttal? Your response will dertermine if I will have to go back to your post or not.
