Calculus12: Aunty Jesoul, I will stop when frosbel stops. The catholic church is the mother of my family. If frosbel says my holy mother the church is the mother of harlots, it affects every member of my family. I did not start the insults. Frosbel did. He has been doing this for a while now without caution. I will only stop when he stops.Uncle haba...common now. Unfortunately it is not everything that is 'offensive' to you or me that is an 'insult' and against NL rules. He is doing what everyone else here does - airing an opinion. You're going to have to make your reponses in accordance with the code of conduct sir. Thanks ehn. |
[quote author=Table Leg ]what abusive language? when others rains insults and curses on you, do you shut up and kiss them on the forehead or what? I won't back down ooo... the ban dont bother or scare me, you should know by now! And by the way , where is JeSoul? Hey Jesoul Hope say your weekending was fabulous and you chop better on top that table of yours. Abeg small small on MMW ehn, e no easy to regulate. If there were any insults to you he overlooked he probably just missed it. We will be on the look out to prevent such in the future ehn. Godbless brotha! |
frosbel: Personal abuse and insults.I've cleaned the thread and pls see my above response to Calc. Cheers. |
Calculus12: You are a big hypocrite! You think you alone can make derogatory comments? By saying:Uncle Calculus, how body now? I trust say all is well. Please sir, your insults were over the top. As far as I could see Frosbel called the catholic church 'mother of harlots' not 'members of your family' which you did to him. In either case, please carry on without resorting to personal attacks of 'wife, family etc etc'. We must find a way to remain respectful even with those we strongly disagree - and that goes to you Frosbel as well. I think you also can do better with some of the language you use to refer to the catholics. If you all claim the name of Christ then your behavior must reflect accordingly. Cheers friends. |
Lol @title... Rhy pls continue here https://www.nairaland.com/1233641/richard-dawkins-says-fetus-less |

chukkynwob: But then the FSA a.k.a jihadists a.k.a al queda jnr is being sponsored by the USA already,America's foreign policy is riddled with so much injustice for a country that poses as the world police.erm...Al Qaeda is sponsored by the US? Sorry oh oga, this your conspiracy theory get as e be. US foreign policy is indeed 'riddled with holes'...much like many many other countries. You'd be hard pressed to find a 'righteous' nation. The US is simply more visible so their shortcomings make headlines while everyone else is practically the same, it's just not publicized. |
Acidosis: wow... I'm inspired with the lil write-up..Guitar is awesome men, love it. I've played Rhythm guitar at many events, sang, done poetry, spoken word etc...but now its mostly leisure until I sharpen my skills for Lead/improvisation. How long you've been playing/learning drums so far? |
bookface: I personally think there will be riots in the street of America should the US government decide to bankrupt the US further by sending US troops to another pointless war or get involved with one which is not of strategic importance to its interests. I think the Arab league has the military capability and the funding requirements to take action if they really want to, but i don't think this is ever going to happen. The only country that i envision might take action is Turkey. It might choose to designate a no fly zone within Syria, but to do this, it might require the approval of the United Nations or a in the very least a "go ahead" nudge from NATO membersAbsolutely right on the money! It begs the question why don't they? the best they do is 'call on the UN to take action'. Perhaps it is because they also have nothing to gain (or lose) by getting involved. Like you mentioned perhaps Turkey - because they're feeling some of the shrapnel spilling over their border. The whole thing is just sad...those poor citizens caught in the middle. |
Acidosis: I love the blue setLOOOLLL ![]() |
Nice! I no be choir-member sha but I'm a musician and used to do a lot of gigs...I play guitar, mostly acoustic. I'm learning Lead guitar now and enjoying the progress ...I have a 6-string, 12-string and recently got an Electric (which I'm using to learn Lead). I'd love to hear tips on developing Lead skills for guitar players... |
Goshen360: @ JeSoul,Sorry brother Goshen...I don't accept the its too complicated or too hard to understand or this is tough meat cloak-and-dagger reason. Sorry oh but me, I am a simple person and by His grace, I practice a simple gospel. When we start drawing circles around ourselves and adding gridlines and demarcating followers of the gospel into Jesus B4 death vs. following the Jesus after death... I am not saying there are not deeper, greater mysteries in Christ that one learns as you grow with the Holy Spirit - mysteries that takes a long time, decades & maturity in Christ to understand. I'm simply saying the gospel of Christ is simple and here we are complicating it. ps. sorry if I am not chanced to reply....busy busy. But at least the discussion is flowing... ![]() |
bookface: I don't see this as the hypocrisy of the West. Should the West decide to go into Syria, they would have to commit military resources in terms of occupational forces that is not only expensive but becomes a drain. Syria is not the same as Libya where you could go in and be out in 3 months, Syria's situation has descended far beyond that. Additionally, unlike in Libya where you have a well coordinated opposition with a common enemy, in Syria, there are just two many groups, all with different goals/objectives.Nice take Bookface, very credible opinion. Unlike the knee-jerk chants of "propaganda!" "hypocrisy" "its about oil!" "excuse to invade" etc etc that pervades threads in this section. The US will not "go out of its way" to "help" especially as it doesn't stand to gain much and I bet most of the citizens will not be in support of another military engagement at taxpayer cost. The ball is in the Arab League's court. But as they have shown us by their inaction in recent conflicts, they are nothing more than a nice-sounding name on paper. |
Orpelin: ^that what love can do from the 57yrs man that he couldn't give a damn about his 29yrs in military service and equally how far the young 27yr old lady could went to carried out her deadly sponsored espionage mission.I wonder, was the woman also arrested? or she was fast and ran back to China quick quick? lol thanks for the compliment. I wish to always join U at the other end but the place is just too volatile for my liking. You welcomes sir. Lol@ volatile section. My dear I hear you jare. There are truely refreshing topics every now and then that one can benefit from. |
okeyxyz: If you don't follow Paul, then it's impossible to follow christ, because Paul's letters were the revelation of christ, his parables and the prophesies. [b]Christians are continously trying to imitate the Jesus who walked amongst us over 2000 years ago, but that was the jesus who represented the law instead of the jesus who represented grace. His representation of the Law(sin) was the reason he had to die so that the law(sin) could be legally abolished, but christians still subject themselves to this same law by using that Jesus as a standard for morality and imitation. You have to cast away that Jesus and put on the new, resurrected christ that is dead to the law and therefore free from it and no longer bound to observe the moralities of the law. Therefore you cannot continue to define right and wrong based on how the law defines them. The law reinforces sin but a true christian CANNOT sin because the law is null and void to him.Honestly, I find this gospel...complicated - to put it diplomatically. If you have the time, I'd like to see what scripture verses in context you'd use to support the many points you've made here. Cheers. |
Hmmm, interesting discourse...I wish I had time to dive deep in but alas...lemme just drop a bit: 1 Cor 3: 1Brothers and sisters, I could not address you as people who live by the Spirit but as people who are still worldly—mere infants in Christ. 2I gave you milk, not solid food, for you were not yet ready for it. Indeed, you are still not ready. 3You are still worldly. For since there is jealousy and quarreling among you, are you not worldly? Are you not acting like mere humans? 4 For when one says, “I follow Paul,” and another, “I follow Apollos,” are you not mere human beings? 5What, after all, is Apollos? And what is Paul? Only servants, through whom you came to believe—as the Lord has assigned to each his task. 6I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God has been making it grow. 7So neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow. 8The one who plants and the one who waters have one purpose, and they will each be rewarded according to their own labor. 9For we are co-workers in God’s service; you are God’s field, God’s building. I follow the one who actually gave His life as a sacrifice to redeem my soul, I follow Jesus Christ. And I recognize those who also follow Christ. I ascribe them their due honor but always remember that they were/are human and therefore subject to human limitations just like the rest of us - whether they are bible authors or not. |
Richieboyn: Awww.... Mods, ntn has yet been done about my request concerning this post being moved to FP.Oga give it some time now, you just submitted it yesterday. I've submitted it so give it a few days (but that's no guarantee it'll make it as its up to the supermods). |
ooman: Thank you for unbanning my IDs. May your Lord bless you (and I mean it). My new identity (nontheism) allows me to respect your God without necessarily believing in him.Anytime, you welcomes sir, and may my God bless you too . |
ighoosagie: I want to know why u guys closed my thread on "excellent GOD and d foolish things He had said". Is it that u guys re far from understanding or Wat, I want to know what u guys think is wrong with it, In that thread I was trying to explan that d words of God sound foolish to men but wen its been obeyed it becomes a solution. Pls I wan whosoever that close that thread should pls open it, or give me comprehensive reasons why it was closed, if not it may lead to my exit frm this forum.Oga ighoosagie, how body now? sorry I closed your thread...I glanced the first post, saw subsequent mischevious posts that would be offensive to christians and closed it. Typically I explain before closing a thread so my apologies on that (I was tight on time yday). Also I appear to have closed your thread in error without realizing/understanding your main post, apologies on that as well. I will go ahead and re-open it and hide any off-topic/offensive/trolling/irrelevant posts. Thanks and sorry for my mistake again. Cheers. |
Ooman I've unbanned your other handles. Next time don't repost the same link or else it'll just keep banning you. Alert a mod and we'll fix it. Cheers. |
Richieboyn: Thanks a lot moderators! I noticed that my topic about the inauguration of the Pope was moved to the FP. And some videos were actually added for me. I'm greatful. I don't think moving this one'll be a bad idea. It'll give answers to the questions that have been dangling on the lips of many. Thank you!You can thank super Mukina for that . I've submitted your other thread for FP consideration. Cheers! |
italo: It's okay. It is your opinion that exploring Catholicism is like "jumping from frying pan to fire."and we thank God profusely for that last part in bold! ![]() |
honeric01: SOME Men are better cook because they do it out of passion unlike some women who see it as a task/obligation.Hon-erable brother, I've fixed your quote for you .Gender has nothing to do with ones culinary skills. There are both male & female world-renowned chefs. |
59yr old papa being used by a 27yr old lady... I hope whatever he got out of it was worth it for the short period cos he is not getting off the hook. Convicted or not, the US govt will make his life very very difficult. Treason is not a joke for most countries. btw, Orpelin, great job with all the fantastic topics you post. Very informative and current! Only wish there was more traffic to see them. I'll be doing my part recommending for FP. Thanks! |
