birdman: In other news, can the Grizz become the first team to come back from a 3-0 deficit? God I hope so. I cant bear Pops ever grinning again.Lol...wetin Popovich do you now? no love at all for the guy who'll end up one of the greatest coaches ever . |
Roland17: If you are a staunch lover of Grizzlies basketball, you should feel disappointed by their performance in this series, i made mention of Zibo being the key to this series and he failed to live to the billing, missed key free throws, possessions and even though he was able to grab offensive rebounds, putting it back was tough .. all in all advancing to the finals of the Western Conference is by far a very big achievement.Playoffs are all about match-ups...and Randolf found that out the hard way. It was also telling that he struggled during the regular season against the Spurs. They have the height & bulk in the middle to neutralize him and he's not quite yet a good enough shooter to move out the paint a bit. I expected SA to win, but certainly not sweep! I thought it'd go 7 games. Either the Grizz simply fizzled out, or we all keep underestimating SA year after year. Tony Allen is a free agent this year, so is Coach Hollins, i hope they come back next season especially coach Hollins.Lol...Tony is sooooo gooonneee! lol. He will get some unbelieveable contract offers from bigger market teams that I'm not sure he can turn down...hell, I hope Boston makes a run to try to bring him back home . The only way he stays is if he really really loves Memphis. |
CAMEROONPRIDE: Maybe I should have asked your definition of : "a top"No wahala sir. We're simply exchanging ideas/thoughts. For your ranking system here, is that from my link? CAMEROONPRIDE: What you don't understand is this part are deserts, Sahara and Kalahari or forest(Equatorial forest)that's why they are empty.hmmm...didn't I already say this earlier? JeSoul: Even the inhabited regions, many are underpopulated. The central part of Africa (horizontally) is practically deserted (pun intended, Sahara desert) . And vertically (much of mid & south-west/south-south africa) the region is also sparsely inhabited as well. BTW. Most recent which year? Anyway I don't think you got me, most part of Africa is not inhabited, both deserts doesn't make half of the Africa territory.I don't disagree. I simply said we are probably utilizing about 25-30% of our total available land - going by the population map. And I also said earlier I don't have any doubts about how far behind we are in development/infrastructure. My first point was that the night map was not an accurate snapshot to draw any definitive conclusions from. C'est fini. There isn't much here to antogonize on...just misunderstanding/inadequte wording/communication. |
CAMEROONPRIDE: 90 is not a bit but very old ...BTW who is going to live in a desert? And on this... you have to understand these kinds of population studies because of the sheer volume of data & research that has to be analyzed are typically carried out at decade intervals, not yearly or every leap year. Since the 90's are too old for you, here is the most recent world map of population densities...still tells the exact same story as the Africa one from the 90s. https://www.danvk.org/wp/wp-content/uploads/2013/02/density-map.jpg |
'skeerow, you try .CAMEROONPRIDE: things are, we're still a top choice for local immigrationI stand by my statement, and actually found some stats for you. From IOM (international org for migration, can't get any more credible than that) a detailed study/publication on Nigerian migration patterns over decades http://publications.iom.int/bookstore/free/Nigeria_Profile_2009.pdf Page 47, the pdf reads: C.1.1 Total number of immigrantsI rest my case . below, figure shows data on migrants into Nigeria and how its been increasing over decades.
|
adaobi123: Really ? Thats interesting, I guess boko haram is not much of a turn off thenIt is...I said local immigration now big difference. Its a matter of relativity...to someone in war-torn Uganda, PortHarcourt would be a major upgrade. To someone from PortHarcourt, London would probably be a major upgrade. Its all relative...CAMEROONPRIDE: where did you get that from?Which part? the population or immigration? The population amount is established but I don't have figures to back up the immigration part (so you can leave it if you don't agree ), mostly documented are frantic Nigerian efforts are migrating out of the nation. We don't have the best records to capture the influx of other african nationalities ![]() |
adaobi123: ^^naija no dey carry last well, we are the most populous country in Africa by I think more than double the next (and we're the most populous black nation in the world). Also like other "popular" spots, we attract a lot of other african nationals. As tough as things are, we're still a top choice for local immigration. |
CAMEROONPRIDE: A good portion is inhabited? Who told you that?Google it sir, you'll come up with similar images like the one below. If I had to place an estimate, I'd say we utilize maybe ~25-30% of total available land area. See this population density map (a bit old from the 90s but illustrates the point): https://na.unep.net/siouxfalls/globalpop/africa/images/p90.png Even the inhabited regions, many are underpopulated. The central part of Africa (horizontally) is practically deserted (pun intended, Sahara desert). And vertically (much of mid & south-west/south-south africa) the region is also sparsely inhabited as well. So when people describe Africa as the land of untouched, untapped resources, it is true beyond our imagination. musKeeto: Thanks JeSoul.Okay, I misunderstood ya. Thanks! As for the part in bold...tell that to your brethren! lol. |
Jesouuuuuuuuuuuul LOL Its cray right on the player of the year thing ... See how you do you see your ageing and rickety Boston Celtics shaping up for next season?! LOL
Lol...for reals. Marc Gasol earned the DPOY and somehow did not make the all-nba first team? I'm still scratching my head. He even has fewer than half the votes of Chandler & Noah As for my C's...laugh now oh...when we send ya'll home for another 1st round exit next year you go respect I like our chances next year...bring back Paul & KG for another year, Rondo & Sullinger back from injuries, Green playing like we know he can...nice core, I'm optimistic. As long as Danny Ainge doesn't do anything foolish... |
otumfour: China has the highest amount of atheists living in a single country with nearly 50 per cent of its population describing themselves as non-believers, a new survey has revealed.Interesting...I'm a bit surprised certain parts of Europe did not score higher in the % of atheists (guess Catholism still has a strong following there) |
@Muskeeto & the world map @night ![]() [sarcasm] Sorry...are you trying to make some correlation between religion & electricity/power supply? [/sarcasm] While one has no illusions about how far Africa still has to go in terms of development, the mapatnight is too easy. A good percentage of the land on the African continent is largely uninhabited - see the mid section, a good chunk is the Sahara desert. The map is 'cool' but just saying, it does not tell the whole story. |
Nice. But uhm....they should've given him a cash prize. Chowing down unlimited Big Macs & fries with a large Coke for the next 1 year will wreak serious havoc on his body & health ![]() |
Seems like pple are now joining certain religious groups just to justify their delinquent behaviour
Or is it the other way round? ![]() shymexx: No, hun... I don't have anything against Muslims and I'll support them when they're in the right; but I don't like reading anything about Islam. Personally, I think the government has intentionally turned a blind eye on the spread of radical Islam in the UK because the financial backers(Saudi Arabia, UAE, and Qatar) of these extreme ideology are their allies. Those countries have huge investments in the UK and I'm sure the UK's also trying to protect its business interests as well.Hmm...interesting take. I would blame a lot of it on the cancer of "political correctness" that is currently ravaging many Western nations. We see it over and over...rather than tackle obvious red flags, they are waved aside in the name of "not offending" anyone or some imaginary goal of 'inclusiveness'. As for the target being black youths...what better target? Many black youths are told from infancy that society has "done them wrong" and is prejudiced towards them, will try to hold them down etc etc (and while there is certainly truth to this, it is not by any means the entire story)...the soil is already fertile for planting & growing further seeds of hate. The idle mind is the devil's workshop abi? the thing is just sad. |
shymexx: Erm.. If it's all-purpose; we can continue our chit-chat on here...or a separate thread somewhere in this section. The other one is too bait lool.Lol. This gist hasn't finished yet...lemme meet you on your thread in a sec... ![]() |
shymexx: JeSoul cutie, we need to get a frontpage shout with this: https://www.nairaland.com/1300789/woolwich-terrorists-journey-schoolboy-extremismSubmitted sir. And hope you don't mind too much, I modified your title a bit to be better descriptive. |
I think Manu Ginobili deserves a mention

Manu who Lool!! I'd probably swap CP3 and insert Tony Parker or Russell Westbrook in that first team
LOL...I saw Table's comment and immediately said "Manu who?" only to scroll down and see your exact same response ![]() Me I'm still wondering how a guy can win player of the year and somehow not make it to the NBA's first all-defensive team. Goes to show these things can be a joke sometimes... |
shymexx: That's interesting. I definitely need a local scout!Hehe this thread can't be derailed, its all-purpose lol... but I can always find you on your personal thread . And cools...I will keep that invitayshun on ice, hope it doesn't expire? tell your madam I don't mind pepper at all so she can add as much ata rodo as she likes. "London town"....is that local-speak for Peckham? *off to Shymexx's personal thread*, if you're a regular here, you know which thread it is lol |
Title modified. Original title (T.B Joshua's Church Banned From Hosting Revivals In Ghana) was wrong & misleading. |
ooman: Jesoul, exactly what did you ban me for the last time? for praising the Flying Pig?What did it say on your profile? "banned for praising your flying pig"? or "banned for derailing a thread"? Praise your pig all you want as long as you don't derail any threads. You posted that on the christian/praise God thread that is clearly for christians and you did so to deliberately offend people who post there in peace all the time. Insults/abuses that stem from passionate discussions are much less egregious and easier to overlook/simply hide but deliberate offenses that you have to go out of your way to perform are the worst, shamless kinds. And per NL rules, it will not be tolerated. I came with calm and reason, and asked many times nicely, but it seems a certain 0.000001% of you prefer you be treated with koboko. |
shymexx: Err... I don't think I'll be in Boston any time soon. However, I'm thinking about doing a Doctorate Degree programme in America next year - and Universities in Boston seem to be my preferred choice for now(that's if I can save enough for the tuition fees lol). So I might be in out there next year - who knows? Just want to experience what American Universities are like.Very nice! I don't think you'll be disappointed if you selected this area for your doc (very nice on that too ), Boston area is the education mecca. There are many Doc programs that are practically free...you can fund a degree by serving as student teacher, professor's assistant, grants, research etc etc. If you need a local scout ![]() Come oh...how you know say I travel a lot? lol. Wish London was on my radar...we have an unofficial travel rule, to never go to the same place twice unless necessary. But keep that invitation open spontaneity is the spice of life. |
Ishilove: Thank you jesoul, you are blessedThank you dear sister. And please, continue to point out anything I miss (because I will miss from time to time). Godbless! ![]() Richieboyn: Okay Jesoul......didn't see any though. Hope u're cool?I dey oh oga. How body now? There was one that was made FP...too lazy to find the link now. |
Alfa Seltzer: Sorry for taking a long time to respond to you. Thanks for trying to resolve this issue but I can't send you PM as I don't do things in secrecy like the christians. All you have to do is follow the rules like everyone else here and you will be left alone. There are plenty of atheists & non-christians posting here everyday but you're the only one crying endless 'persecution'. Continue to post offensive posts and I will continue to hide them. I don't have the time to give endless 'warnings' and 'cautions' to people who obviously know what they're doing is wrong. I did that but you all simply ignored it so why bother? Especially someone who is routinely banned in several sections for various offenses. You know what is wrong, but you gladly do it. What is this? your 100th ID? I know you're capable of respectful discourse, hope that is what you choose. Cheerios. |
Rhymeyjohn: please mods, can you do me a favour by submitting atleast one of my topics for front pages. "in defence on tithes" or "husband from heaven acting like devil". this would help edify the body of christ. thanksCan you please modify the formatting on the thread/first post? it makes for easier reading. Thanks. Richieboyn: Dear moderators, please I'm here again.Hey Richie, sorry, I think another pentecost thread hit HP. Hope say body dey well .musKeeto: @JeSoul: Hello, I just realized you're mod there too. Lol..*shhhh...don't blow my cover. I'm enjoying flying under the radar. |
shymexx: I'm lost, sis. Perhaps, you need to explain it in layman's term. you too kind. Well you know what they say..."if its too good to be true, it probably is" ... whenever you're in Boston, you have an open invitation to dinner at mi casa . |
Lool you know the westside is the best side
Akpan-40....mind yaself oh birdman: Heat-Pacers (4-1)I agree the toughness of the Pacers is not yet there, but I wouldn't be so dismissive. Its true Hibbert is not made of beast material, but he's good enough to do some damage - IF they come to play ball, focused and passionate...cos they obviously mentally check out of games as they did against the inferior Hawks in Rd 1. If not anything, I would attribute them not being able to beat Miami due to youth, immaturity & inexperience - not necessarily talent. Spurs-Grizzlies (2-4)Lol. Popovich has 4 championship rings and you call his "brand of basketball an eyesore"? haba lol. I will be the first to agree Spurs ball is by and large boring and predictable - BUT he was not hired to make Sportscenter Top 10 plays - he was hired to win championships and he has done that for a long time, able to draft wisely and maximize potential. Spurs ball may be 'predictable' but it doesn't mean just because you know what they're going to do, you'll be able to stop them. That said, the Grizz have a great chance of upsetting the Spurs, they're a solid all-around team. But there's a reason the Spurs are still relevant year after year. I'm not dismissing them like many people are. |
shymexx: Thanks, sweet JeSoul.Lol. Oga, what you see is what you get ![]() |
shymexx: Sis JeSoul, can we get a FP shout with this: https://www.nairaland.com/1294571/russia-reveals-identity-cia-spy#15783983Submitted. Poor guy...espionage gone wrong for real. |
CAMEROONPRIDE: ^^ you don't know what you are talking about, French are the most racist people in this world, fighting with Spaniards, Italian and Russian to keep his throneI do know that there has been plenty of history with France & racism...my point is I didn't expect they'd score that poorly especially today (remember the research is a bit old/dated). |
Lool I expected a slugfest anyway I just didn't expect Melo and JR to shoot so poorly! I think the Heat are the only team that has moved the ball decently in the entire East! The Knicks to me are still the only team that can match the offensive firepower of Miami! They just need to select their shots better tho I don't know if they can fix that at this point. This Miami team can be beat! The short-handed Bulls showed that
This statement is actually not a praise of the NY Knickerboxers, but rather a sharp indictment of the poor offensive capabilities of eastern conference teams. Chai! east coast has suffered I would actually go with the Pacers over the Knicks as "capable of beating Miami". NY just don't have the physicality to match up. Na so so 3pters and jacked up shots late in the shot clock. Chandler is a force in the paint, but he alone cannot stop the penetration of Heat forwards. Pacers at least have shown some history vs. Miami that they can get down and grind. But alas the Pacers are sketchy...as they showed vs. Atlanta in round 1. Still too young & immature to beat an experienced squad like Miami over 7 games. Damn...when will this yeye east get some diversity like the west? |

well, we are the most populous country in Africa by I think more than double the next (and we're the most populous black nation in the world). Also like other "popular" spots, we attract a lot of other african nationals. As tough as things are, we're still a top choice for local immigration.
