Roland17: If you are a staunch lover of Grizzlies basketball, you should feel disappointed by their performance in this series, i made mention of Zibo being the key to this series and he failed to live to the billing, missed key free throws, possessions and even though he was able to grab offensive rebounds, putting it back was tough .. all in all advancing to the finals of the Western Conference is by far a very big achievement.
Playoffs are all about match-ups...and Randolf found that out the hard way. It was also telling that he struggled during the regular season against the Spurs. They have the height & bulk in the middle to neutralize him and he's not quite yet a good enough shooter to move out the paint a bit.

I expected SA to win, but certainly not sweep! I thought it'd go 7 games. Either the Grizz simply fizzled out, or we all keep underestimating SA year after year.

Tony Allen is a free agent this year, so is Coach Hollins, i hope they come back next season especially coach Hollins.
Lol...Tony is sooooo gooonneee! lol. He will get some unbelieveable contract offers from bigger market teams that I'm not sure he can turn down...hell, I hope Boston makes a run to try to bring him back home cheesy. The only way he stays is if he really really loves Memphis.

CAMEROONPRIDE: Maybe I should have asked your definition of : "a top"

Anyway you were right.

. Cote D'Ivoire 2. South Africa 3. Ghana 4. Nigeria 5. Burkina Faso 6. Kenya 7. Sudan 8. Tanzania 9. Uganda 10. Ethiopia
No wahala sir. We're simply exchanging ideas/thoughts. For your ranking system here, is that from my link?

CAMEROONPRIDE: What you don't understand is this part are deserts, Sahara and Kalahari or forest(Equatorial forest)that's why they are empty.
hmmm...didn't I already say this earlier?

JeSoul: Even the inhabited regions, many are underpopulated. The central part of Africa (horizontally) is practically deserted (pun intended, Sahara desert) . And vertically (much of mid & south-west/south-south africa) the region is also sparsely inhabited as well.
BTW. Most recent which year? Anyway I don't think you got me, most part of Africa is not inhabited, both deserts doesn't make half of the Africa territory.
And my point is even the populated part are still in the dark. A populated country is +10-15M in my book.
I don't disagree. I simply said we are probably utilizing about 25-30% of our total available land - going by the population map. And I also said earlier I don't have any doubts about how far behind we are in development/infrastructure. My first point was that the night map was not an accurate snapshot to draw any definitive conclusions from. C'est fini. There isn't much here to antogonize on...just misunderstanding/inadequte wording/communication.

CAMEROONPRIDE: 90 is not a bit but very old ...BTW who is going to live in a desert? huh huh Anyway That's still don't justify why Africa is in the dark, America, China all have desert, forests mountains so your analysis is flawed, we are talking about a continent with +1billion people ..and if we should follow your logic, one will expect the like of Nigeria, ethiopia etc to have some light?
And on this...

you have to understand these kinds of population studies because of the sheer volume of data & research that has to be analyzed are typically carried out at decade intervals, not yearly or every leap year.

Since the 90's are too old for you, here is the most recent world map of population densities...still tells the exact same story as the Africa one from the 90s.

CAMEROONPRIDE: things are, we're still a top choice for local immigration

^^ I don't know for her point, but this is the bone of contention, her statement like she admitted herself doesn't have any figure to back up her claim.
I stand by my statement, and actually found some stats for you. From IOM (international org for migration, can't get any more credible than that) a detailed study/publication on Nigerian migration patterns over decades http://publications.iom.int/bookstore/free/Nigeria_Profile_2009.pdf

Page 47, the pdf reads:
C.1.1 Total number of immigrants

Nigeria remains a strong attractive pole for immigrant populations. Table 5
shows that the total number of the stock of immigrants increased over the years.

This is reflected in the volumes, namely 101,450 for 1963 and 477,135 for 1991
(NPC, 1998). The volume further increased to 751,126 by 2000 and 972,126 by
2005. It is estimated that in 2010 the immigrant stock residing in the country will
further increase up to 1.1 million people
(see Table 12 in annex) (UNPD, 2009).
In addition, the percentage of immigrants to the total population of
Nigeria increased from 0.6 per cent in 2000 to 0.7 per cent in 2005. .....
The immigrant annual growth rate remains very high, although stable.
I rest my case smiley.

below, figure shows data on migrants into Nigeria and how its been increasing over decades.

adaobi123: Really ? Thats interesting, I guess boko haram is not much of a turn off then tongue
It is...I said local immigration now smiley big difference. Its a matter of relativity...to someone in war-torn Uganda, PortHarcourt would be a major upgrade. To someone from PortHarcourt, London would probably be a major upgrade. Its all relative...

CAMEROONPRIDE: where did you get that from?
Which part? the population or immigration? The population amount is established but I don't have figures to back up the immigration part (so you can leave it if you don't agree smiley), mostly documented are frantic Nigerian efforts are migrating out of the nation. We don't have the best records to capture the influx of other african nationalities undecided

grin well, we are the most populous country in Africa by I think more than double the next (and we're the most populous black nation in the world). Also like other "popular" spots, we attract a lot of other african nationals. As tough as things are, we're still a top choice for local immigration.
Christianity EtcRe: New 'Atheist Map' Of The World by JeSoul(f): 8:20pm On May 24, 2013
CAMEROONPRIDE: A good portion is inhabited? Who told you that?
Google it sir, you'll come up with similar images like the one below. If I had to place an estimate, I'd say we utilize maybe ~25-30% of total available land area. See this population density map (a bit old from the 90s but illustrates the point):
https://na.unep.net/siouxfalls/globalpop/africa/images/p90.png

Even the inhabited regions, many are underpopulated. The central part of Africa (horizontally) is practically deserted (pun intended, Sahara desert). And vertically (much of mid & south-west/south-south africa) the region is also sparsely inhabited as well. So when people describe Africa as the land of untouched, untapped resources, it is true beyond our imagination.

musKeeto: Thanks JeSoul.

That's why I asked @Cameroun to ignore Africa and look @ America. My geography knowledge isn't up to scratch.

The first map shows that religion is still holding its own in the US. Even the deeply religious India is lit up at night(not the best, but power's on 22 out of 24 hrs here). It would be wrong to blame religion solely for the problem of Africa.
Okay, I misunderstood ya. Thanks! As for the part in bold...tell that to your brethren! lol.

otumfour: China has the highest amount of atheists living in a single country with nearly 50 per cent of its population describing themselves as non-believers, a new survey has revealed.
Around 47 per cent of people living in China describe themselves as atheists compared to an average of 13 per cent across the world.
A 2012 poll by WIN/Gallup International surveyed more than 50,000 people across 40 countries whether they considered themselves 'religious', 'not religious' or 'convinced atheist'.

https://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2013/05/24/article-2330314-19F95E72000005DC-158_634x381.jpg

It is perhaps not surprising that China has the highest amount of atheists as its republic government was officially atheist when it formed in 1949.

All temples temples and religious relics were destroyed during the Cultural Revolution of 1967 to 1977
But the country did relax its religious policy with the 1978 Constitution of the People's Republic of China guaranteeing 'freedom of religion' in Article 36.

Growing followers: But Pope Francis has nothing to worry about as the numbers of people calling themselves in Italy has increased since 2005
The policy regarding religious practice in China states that 'no state organ, public organization or individual may compel citizens to believe in, or not to believe in, any religion; nor may they discriminate against citizens because they do, or do not believe in religion.'
Since the mid-1980s there has been a massive program to rebuild Buddhist and Taoist temples.
In recent times, the government has expressed support for Buddhism and Taoism, organizing the World Buddhist Forum in 2006 and the International Forum on the Daodejing in 2007. The government sees these religions as an integral part of Chinese culture.
There are five religions recognized by the state, namely Buddhism, Taoism, Islam, Catholicism, and Protestantism.
But these figures appear to suggest that much of the skepticism surrounding organized religion in the country has survived.
Whereas in Japan, where a post-WWII taboo still remains, with 31 per cent still atheists.
One of the most surprising figures in the Islamic country of Saudi Arabia where five per cent of the population described themselves as atheists, despite this being considered a crime.
This compares to just one per cent in both Iraq and Afghanistan who describe themselves as atheists.
And in Italy, the home of the Catholic Church, support is still strong with nearly three-fourths of Italians consider themselves religious, which is actually up on 2005's figures.
Earlier this week Pope Francis has said atheists who are good are redeemed by Jesus in a homily urging that people of differing beliefs work together.
WIN/Gallup notes that religion is strongest among the poor and the less educated, which correlates among the most religious countries.

In Ghana, Nigeria, Armenia and Fiji, more than nine in 10 people say they’re religious.

SOURCE: DAILYMAIL
Interesting...I'm a bit surprised certain parts of Europe did not score higher in the % of atheists (guess Catholism still has a strong following there)
Seems like pple are now joining certain religious groups just to justify their delinquent behaviour undecided
Or is it the other way round? undecided

shymexx: No, hun... I don't have anything against Muslims and I'll support them when they're in the right; but I don't like reading anything about Islam. Personally, I think the government has intentionally turned a blind eye on the spread of radical Islam in the UK because the financial backers(Saudi Arabia, UAE, and Qatar) of these extreme ideology are their allies. Those countries have huge investments in the UK and I'm sure the UK's also trying to protect its business interests as well.

It's not only the UK, America and most western countries are also culpable as well. They are all after the oil money and the goodies that come with the Gulf region. I still don't know why Saudi Arabia and its wahabism/salafism hasn't been bombed back to the stone age. That's one country I could care less about.

What's also problematic about this evil trend is that; it seems they're only after black youths. Most of the converts in the UK are blacks and I doubt there's any black guy from the UK that hasn't been approached by these medieval savages and their psychotic ideology.
Hmm...interesting take. I would blame a lot of it on the cancer of "political correctness" that is currently ravaging many Western nations. We see it over and over...rather than tackle obvious red flags, they are waved aside in the name of "not offending" anyone or some imaginary goal of 'inclusiveness'.

As for the target being black youths...what better target? Many black youths are told from infancy that society has "done them wrong" and is prejudiced towards them, will try to hold them down etc etc (and while there is certainly truth to this, it is not by any means the entire story)...the soil is already fertile for planting & growing further seeds of hate. The idle mind is the devil's workshop abi? the thing is just sad.

What did it say on your profile? "banned for praising your flying pig"? or "banned for derailing a thread"? Praise your pig all you want as long as you don't derail any threads. You posted that on the christian/praise God thread that is clearly for christians and you did so to deliberately offend people who post there in peace all the time. Insults/abuses that stem from passionate discussions are much less egregious and easier to overlook/simply hide but deliberate offenses that you have to go out of your way to perform are the worst, shamless kinds. Alfa Seltzer: Sorry for taking a long time to respond to you. Thanks for trying to resolve this issue but I can't send you PM as I don't do things in secrecy like the christians.

We can discuss here.

My beef with JeSoul is that she first without warning hides posts and threads, then when you complain, tell you the post was deemed offensive to someone even though it didn't break any rules. Well all posts are offensive to someone, why single my own out.

The last stroke was when she banned me for what she called a "pattern of insult". I don't know what that means. I didn't insult anybody nor break any rules. When I asked her to tell me which rule I broke, I got another ban.

I know what she was suffering from but as a Satanist, I am not concerned. If she wanted to destroy this section, I will oblige her.

So her options are these:
1. Continue hiding my posts. Result- section littered with "this post is hidden"
2. Continue banning. - Result- Inconsequential.
3. Tell me what she wants. Result- Will try to oblige (as long as it doesn't include going against my religion)
All you have to do is follow the rules like everyone else here and you will be left alone. There are plenty of atheists & non-christians posting here everyday but you're the only one crying endless 'persecution'.

Continue to post offensive posts and I will continue to hide them. I don't have the time to give endless 'warnings' and 'cautions' to people who obviously know what they're doing is wrong. I did that but you all simply ignored it so why bother? Especially someone who is routinely banned in several sections for various offenses. You know what is wrong, but you gladly do it. What is this? your 100th ID? smiley I know you're capable of respectful discourse, hope that is what you choose.

Cheerios.
Lool you know the westside is the best side grin grin
Akpan-40....mind yaself oh angry cheesy

birdman: Heat-Pacers (4-1)
I see the Heat beating the Pacers 4-1. Pacers claim to be a physical team, but the only legit physical starter is D. West. The rest try to feed off of him. Hibbert's fake toughness is particularly hilarious. In fact they are lucky they didn't meet the Bulls because the Pacers would have been out by now. Their only shot is Hibbert getting a ton of offensive rebounds against the generally shorter Heat - I don't see that happening 4 out of 7 games. I look forward to an overconfident Pacers team eating dust cool
I agree the toughness of the Pacers is not yet there, but I wouldn't be so dismissive. Its true Hibbert is not made of beast material, but he's good enough to do some damage - IF they come to play ball, focused and passionate...cos they obviously mentally check out of games as they did against the inferior Hawks in Rd 1. If not anything, I would attribute them not being able to beat Miami due to youth, immaturity & inexperience - not necessarily talent.

Spurs-Grizzlies (2-4)
Frankly, I want the Grizz to sweep the Spurs, and put an end to Popovich's messed up, ugly, eyesore brand of basketball that he has refused to give up because he won chanpionships with it a decade ago angry. I guess his pride wont let him admit everybody now knows his style of play, which is why even the Warriors gave them fits. Unless Popovich suddenly changes his plays, the Grizz know what to expect. Spurs will win one or two, because its hard to stop Parker's penetration for a full 48, even with Tony Allen on him. I can't wait to see Pops go fishing..again.
Lol. Popovich has 4 championship rings and you call his "brand of basketball an eyesore"? haba lol. I will be the first to agree Spurs ball is by and large boring and predictable - BUT he was not hired to make Sportscenter Top 10 plays - he was hired to win championships and he has done that for a long time, able to draft wisely and maximize potential. Spurs ball may be 'predictable' but it doesn't mean just because you know what they're going to do, you'll be able to stop them.

That said, the Grizz have a great chance of upsetting the Spurs, they're a solid all-around team. But there's a reason the Spurs are still relevant year after year. I'm not dismissing them like many people are.

This Miami team can be beat! The short-handed Bulls showed that
This statement is actually not a praise of the NY Knickerboxers, but rather a sharp indictment of the poor offensive capabilities of eastern conference teams. Chai! east coast has suffered cheesy

I would actually go with the Pacers over the Knicks as "capable of beating Miami". NY just don't have the physicality to match up. Na so so 3pters and jacked up shots late in the shot clock. Chandler is a force in the paint, but he alone cannot stop the penetration of Heat forwards. Pacers at least have shown some history vs. Miami that they can get down and grind. But alas the Pacers are sketchy...as they showed vs. Atlanta in round 1. Still too young & immature to beat an experienced squad like Miami over 7 games.

Damn...when will this yeye east get some diversity like the west?
