Well Rey, I believe firnly that every individual deserve respect and may be that's just my way of showing it.



I do care about how people feel and I believe that some persons are like me. This may sound difficult to believe but I am a "first name basis" kinda guy irrespective of ones age.

If anyone wants me to drop the "official" address, I will do just that though it might be a bit difficult cause addressing people as I do always reminds me of the need to give everyone the respect due to them as humans.

For me there is nothing wrong with discussing our religious differences over a glass of wine.

PS: The "thank you" is meant to appreciate the fact that the individual took his or her time to read some of my legnthy and possibly boring posts.

I LOVE that about Striktlymi. Always very courteous that it stands out in a forum full of juvenile riff-raffs with invective-laced fingers.

The Roman law in application at the time also had restrictions against women speaking out in public - it is possible that Paul’s instruction was in line with this. See Clarke’s commentary on the bible:

Nor to usurp authority - A woman should attempt nothing, either in public or private, that belongs to man as his peculiar function. This was prohibited by the Roman laws

I approach this much like God's response to the Israelites demand for an earthly king to lead them...God agreed not because it was right, but because of their sinful nature and He wanted them to face the consequences of their actions. Abortion is not right, but I think people should be allowed to make the choice and then face the consequences of their actions.
